On a motorcycle trip we were staying at a hotel on Lakeshore so could just walk to this pub. We had very friendly attentive service with Terri our server. Lots of good beers on tap, I had a Stella and my wife had a cider. My wife is gluten intolerant so Terri was very good at telling us they have gluten free buns and the other selections on the menu that she could eat. I had the 8oz fish and chips with a curry tartar sauce which was great. Home cut fries are very yummy. My wife had a Curry Smash Burger on a gluten free bun. She enjoyed it very much and unlike many gluten free buns it didn't disintegrate as she ate it. The atmosphere is British Pub with an outdoor patio. Booths and high top tables inside. We really enjoyed eating here. Highly recommend. read more

We were here for dinner Friday, April 27th. Sat at the bar, we were new to town and were quite friendly to the (female) bartender. She unfortunately was a complete _itch to us. I don't know if she was having a bad day or what but it completely ruined our evening at the Crown and Beaver. We were very excited to eat there having being recommended by the very nice bartender at The Station from the previous night. Our food was pretty good, 4/5 I'd say if we'd not had Grumpy McGrumperson as our server/bartender. Hope the owner sees this and has words with her. read more

I typically come here for the wings. They're non-breaded, but fried so that the skin becomes super crisp. It's nice because the sauce doesn't make it soggy even by the time I'm eating the last wing. The bones are usually fragmented at the ends, though, which is a little annoying. Whiskey barrel sauce is pretty good. The crispy brussel sprouts gets very salty, especially with the parmesan on top. It is rather oily as well, but probably because the take out container is wax coated. The lemon cuts out a lot of the saltiness/oil, so squeeze generously. read more

Went for dinner. Excellent fries. Decent burger. Horrible service, terrible Caesar salad. It was like they whipped burned garlic into mayonnaise. The replacement salad (chef/garden) was over 60°F... (yeah... I carry a bio-therm) How about some refrigeration of your e.koli carrying foods? Maybe buy some Renee's or something if you cannot make a decent Caesar salad. Couldn't get a second beverage because the servers were running around like a herd of cats... no manager present to control the team... I think he was sitting on the patio. Decently clean.... Never hit the can so I can't tell you the truth on that but if it's like the service and Caesar then I expect it's not great. You get 2 stars because your fries were off the hook tasty... Good fries are hard to find. Yours were the best I've had in North Bay so far. read more

I sat at bar for 20 min.....waiting to be served.....a young guy came in and sat beside me and was immediately served by the female bartender. ..she gave him test samples of beer and a menu.....I still was ignored. ..only when a another paton at the bar told the female bartender that I was there before the young man did she approach me. ....by that point I told her ...that I was totally humiliated and would not come back again....and left...I have never wrote a bad review and really don't expect a response but...I will tell anyone who is I'm my age bracket 45...not to come to ur establishment. ....regards Rob wigley read more

As a member of the military, I have been fortunate enough to travel all over the world. In all those travels, I have never had a burger as good as I just had at the Crown & Beaver in North Bay! This place is a well decorated traditional English Pub. The beers available on tap range from local micro brewery's to the expected European brews like Czechvar. The service was first rate, with a beautiful Ginger behind the bar. I would definitely return here if I ever came through North Bay again! read more

In the 3 times that I've been to this restaurant, this place hasn't failed on its standards. The food has always been solid there, and the environment feels nice and higher end than most places. Prices are reasonable for what you get too. On my most recent trip, two of us has a Mac and Cheese dish (I the chicken alfredo one, another had the classic Crown and Beaver one) and both were very good. The other person with me had a pizza/flatbread. Admittedly, that was a bit overlooked, but it still was very tasty. If you are in North Bay, this is definitely a recommendation I would make. read more

What can I say? Food: Crazy Good. Beer: So much. Music Nights: Just Awesome. Sporting Events: so fun to watch. Just love this joint. Order the Special Burger. Just trust. So good. Curries are crazy on point as well. The apps just get devoured at our tables. Great for one at the bar or twenty at tables. Super fun hang. Staff is not only nice but super cool! The food was absolutely delicious. My friend said the burger was the best he's ever had, and my other friend said it was the best salad she's ever had. The service was fast, although we did have to wait for a booth that was empty for a while before we were seated. The waitress did not forget my glass of water after our meal. Our dining experience this evening was perfect. The food was absolutely delicious. Everything was made from scratch and was lovely and fresh. The Lobster appetizer was particularly amazing! Our waitress was a gem - so pleasant, attentive and very sweet to our daughter who has special needs. The service was very efficient and each course was well-timed. We dined on the patio and were allowed to bring our dog with us. This was wonderful, as we are traveling with our pet. ** I have a serious food allergy. Great attention was paid by the staff to this issue so that I was able to enjoy my meal without worrying. We will definitely return the next time we are traveling through North Bay. read more

This restaurant has fabulous food. While in town I have come back four times within a week. The service was usually good but on the Friday the bartender was non existent. He would chat with his friends and ignore the orders. The waitresses would line up waiting for him to turn around and complete the orders. A disappointment to a fine pub. read more

This place was great. My father and sister went here for the first time tonight. the menu was small, but with enough variety to make us ask the server what she recommended. We all ended up having the burger at her suggestion. It was unlike any burger I've ever eaten. Fresh, not greasy, not overpowered by cheese it was great. Amazing food, the Brie and bacon sandwich is hands down one of the best things on the lunch menu! Their Caesar salad dressing is made in house and you can tell! Oh and their wings....... I can barely eat a pound and a half they are so big and the sauces are unique and very good. read more

Food and beer are excellent. They carry Delirium on tap! Ordered the burger, and it was awesome. Clearly made with care, it's hand chopped meat and it's topped with delicious bacon and Stilton (or cheddar). Best burger I've had in north bay, since you can have it cooked med-rare (to preference, since they use fresh/good products!) I would recommend checking it out. It's not cheap, but it's worth every penny. read more
