Mmmm...the gummy was yummy. As I take a quick peep inside the store from the outside, I didn't hesitate to go right in and check it out. I absolutely love the decor of the store. It's clean and the baby blue throughout reminds me of Sugafina and Tiffany. I decided to get a jar for $14.95. A bit pricey but when I tasted that sample gummy, I liked that it tasted high quality and not artificial. For your return visits, you can fill up your jar again for 40% off. As I open each bin, the sweet smell is oh so yummy! Lots of delicious flavors to choose from and they come in sour too. Believe me when I say I cramped every little gummy bear as much as I could into that little jar. I hope they don't have too much calories, I can't stop eating them. Many of their packaged items are very beautiful to give as gifts. I also got some of their chocolates. Can't wait to try them. Service was good despite other reviews saying otherwise.

It was the perfect place to treat myself, grab a small gift for a friend, or get some fun treats when I have people over. Even though it was a little expensive, it felt fun to get something special. While at the Short Hills location with my family, I saw their sign and dragged my family in. There was 1 employee outside handing out samples, and 3-4 additional employees in the store whose main purpose appeared to be to make sure no one sampled an item (which they said was expressly forbidden). Despite there being two registers, only one woman was behind the counter manning a massive line that snaked around the store. We waited in line for over twenty minutes - the two groups behind us decided to put their goods back (some of which they had hand selected in white plastic bags, so they couldn't just be put back on the self) because of the absurdly long wait. I was shocked that they didn't open up another register, especially considering there were 3-4 employees just standing around chatting with one another. I love the idea of a candy store that feels special, but this one missed the mark. I'd rather get my chocolate across the hall in the mall at Lindt! Far friendlier employees and much more efficient with crowds.

Milk Chocolate Peanut Butter Meltaway ($2.25) - This was essentially a peanut butter cup. I thought it was just okay, lacked peanut butter flavor. Kokoleka 55% Single Origin Dark Mango Meltaway ($2.25) - This was similar to the peanut butter meltaway, but just with a mango flavor. I initially thought it was going to be a mango filling, but that was not the case. Regardless, it was pleasant and balanced well with the chocolate. Kokoleka Dark 55% Single Origin Banana Ganache Truffle ($1.20) - Again, I thought this was going to be filled with a banana filling, but it was not. This was probably my favorite. The chocolate was delicate, and the banana flavoring just enhanced that. Kokoleka Dark 55% Single Origin Cabernet Sauvignon Ganache ($1.40) - This was my least favorite. I just did not care for the wine taste here. Madagascar Chocolate 36% Single Origin Sea Salt Caramel ($1.60) - The caramel chocolate log was appetizing. I really enjoyed this type of chocolate. Dark Chocolate Infused with 30 mg. CBD Oil ($4.30) - This was just straight chocolate. It was refreshing and pleasant to have. Will I go back? I would.

I was amazed by the care and service of this local business! The owner is a super sweet man who is always there to lend a helping hand with the chocolate recommendations if you are looking to buy a special present for someone. If you happen to be buying a selection of chocolate, maybe you will be lucky enough to sample one of their chocolates right there Their entrance is a side door off of Madison Ave. It is not labeled, but don't be afraid to give it a turn and go right in! You should hear a bell chime in the back when you head in, so if you don't, give the door another open to make sure they know they have a customer. Their Gianduja chocolate has such a lasting and aromatic hazelnut flavor, I definitely recommend getting a piece in the next box of chocolate you buy. They also have plenty of deals during different holidays in the year. I highly recommend Birnn Chocolate for any occasion, as a thank you gift or a just because gift for someone special. There are no chocolates that disappoint here!
