This review is solely based on wedding invitations. We looked at Papyrus and other like stores for our wedding invitations but found them to be rather expensive, even if we weren't footing the bill. Someone suggested iParty so we headed over there. They actually had a great selection and great prices that saved my parents money! They have books for you to look at (like all the other places) and various combinations. It did not take us long to pick the one we liked the best, along with the font and additional customizations. We paid our deposit and it only took a few weeks for them to come in. When we picked them up, they were spectacular. Not one thing was wrong and they looked much more expensive; the paper had a good weight and feel to it. Once we shipped them to my parents who are quite critical, they were also impressed. iParty for the win! read more

Mis-leading product descriptions, rude staff, customer unfriendly store policies. Overall, I ended up over spending buying fancy dress that I couldn't use unless I spent more money to buy the other half of the costume (which is not previously advertised), I wasn't allowed to return and get something else cheaper. Recommendation- find somewhere else to buy your costumes or make sure you try your costume before you leave the store even if the store doesn't allow you to try it on. read more

Employees did not know where anything was. It's a week away from Halloween, you'd expect that they would have much more inventory out on the floor and that employees would have SOME basic knowledge of where things might be. Instead, when I asked for elbow length red gloves it took THREE different employees to figure out that the store did not have them. But they were willing to send me to Dorchester to find some! NO THANK YOU.Then when I asked where their Poison Ivy costume section was, they looked at me like I was crazy (I knew they had it because it's on party city's website and I had seen it at their store in Quincy), and then told me that all that inventory was still out in the trailer. OK, so isn't it your job to go get it? I will not be wasting my money at this overpriced joke of a store. Better to order your stuff on Amazon! read more

I live a mile from the Party City in South Bay but I'm going to the one on Soldier's Field Rd after getting Noelle on the phone today. Just when you think amazing customer service has been lost - my faith has been restored! Noelle answered the phone and was delightful - she patiently answered my questions, found a better product that would suit my needs, described it to me, offered suggestions, and prepared my order for a future pick up. I have no worries that my order will be correct and ready for pick up on the set date. This is not the case with other locations. If only a Noelle could work everywhere! :) read more

Typical party supplies/favours store (all 3-stars in my book), but the extra star is for the fact that I found my Big Bird Halloween costume here last year. Yes, it was horribly, ridiculously overpriced, but having a bright yellow avian get-up with pink and orange-striped leggings was SO worth it. I'm thankful this store is still here and has great hours. Their selection of party stuff is great, and most of their employees are super helpful and friendly! Great experience; I hope they're in business for a long time. That said, I docked one star because they kept messing up parts of our balloon order. We had orders two weeks in a row. The first week, the balloons were not separated into two same color assorted bunches as requested. Plus - we paid extra so the balloons would last longer (24-48 hours)... they deflated in less than 12 hours, and before the party even began! So much for saving time by picking them up early! They replaced them (without offering to comp their mistake), but used the wrong color ribbon. Second week, again, they were not separated into the bunches we requested, they refused to tie them onto the balloon weights we brought (having purchased them there the week prior), and used the wrong color ribbon. I'm not sure who works the balloon section of the store, but attention to detail would have saved a lot of frustration on already hectic party days. read more

I'm throwing a baby shower and this Party City is A. right near my home and work and B. carries the same brand and color paper goods as Itzaparty, where I had a FAR better experience being helped by high school or college-aged kids on a weekend vs. coming to this dump on multiple weekdays (on my lunch break and after work). There seems to be no customer service training whatsoever and the two middle-aged women working seem completely annoyed that people want to spend money here. A long line formed while a customer tried to pick out a mylar balloon, only to be told at least 6 times that they "don't have that one either." Meanwhile, the only other employee who seemed to be working took her cart of items to be restocked around the store, paying no mind to me or all the other clearly annoyed customers waiting to pay for our purchases. I seriously would have thrown my stuff on the counter and walked out, but the shower is in 2 days and I need one stupid thing of cupcake papers in specific color. I made everything myself except for the paper goods (plates, cups, cutlery, etc.) because everything here is cheap and junky looking. That combined with the abysmal customer service makes it no surprise that these places keep going out of business. read more

We were shocked to read two reviews about iParty being small and crowded. That was until we realized those reviews were from 2008! This store is huge, extremely well organized, and has everything you can think of for a birthday party, etc. The best part, coming from VT where the iParty had very limited Boston sports items, this one has a ton of it...Bruins, Red Sox, Patriots, and Celtics! While some things are expensive given that they're basically throw away items made in China, they have a huge discount section and always have coupons. Lastly, its location and huge parking lot are worth gold in a city where it's often difficult to park. We go there often and have no complaints! read more

Agree with previous reviews. Staff is awful! So lazy. Was basically told that the internet was wrong and despite going on my lunch break 20 mins away, they would not check the back because whatever is out is what is available (despite store availability being listed at over 20 items each). I went today, 6/15/2017 at 11am, so you know who the 2 female employees are. read more

This iParty is sooo much better than the others near by. I was going to a pirate themed party and the sales staff was great! The manager even came over help complete my costume :) The prices are a little high, but they have EVERYTHING! This is my favorite iParty and would recommend everyone go to this location! read more

I went in to this store earlier today to get some balloons for my son's birthday party. I had the car running with my mom and kids waiting for me because I thought it would be a short trip. The girl up front was super nice and helpful. The manager on duty was being very rude to her and she was the only one working. I had purchased the balloons and the nice girl was blowing them up for me while the manager watched the line get longer (she was the only one working) while he's chatting with his friend on the phone in front of everyone saying.. "well, i guess i should go help her since everyone called in today." So not professional. So he tells her to ring up customers while in the middle of blowing up my balloons. So she stops, and rings up people. He finally walks over and starts talking to a lady who came in a while after me. Then goes to ring up customers. I say, "excuse me, but she was helping me, and i've got to run my mom and kids are in the car" The manager replies, "well, if you had called in your order you wouldn't have to wait." I tell him i wasn't aware of this, and if i had known i wouldn't have came in to begin with. So he then says to everyone in line " do you guys want to wait for her?" They did because they saw that i was there first and very frustrated. Seriously, he was so rude and had a chip on his shoulder ...ordering his very good employee around talking to her like trash. I won't ever go into that store again. And i will be informing the regional manager about his unacceptable behavior. Save yourself the trouble. Don't go to this place. read more

Can't stress this enough about this place, it has the worse customer service ever! Employees make it their business to IGNORE you or HIDE from you. So God forbid you need HELP with anything, you're sh*t out of luck. Lol. I was only there today for balloons. 2 registers open & all 2 employee working on ONE ORDER. Then the 3rd employee, lazy as hell, instead of ringing me in, she comes in from the back & goes directly to stand by the busy register doing who knows what. She definitely saw me standing there but couldn't care less to take care of me. So basically 3 employees working on one order. Unacceptable. Stood in line for over 10 mins. I only went to this store because I live so close. But I cringe & honestly HATE going to this Party City in Brighton, MA. I will be writing a letter to corporate. This disgusting attitude towards customers should not be tolerated. I have had enough of this place. Never going again. read more

I walked in this store this afternoon and had costume my son was looking for in 5 minutes! The employee called back to see if it was in his size and we followed teh orange footprints to pick it up. Not kidding...had it in hand in 5 minutes. I went on Thursday at about 3:30. If I could shop this easily in every store I wouldn't have to order anything online. read more
