Should Helium balloons last more than 6 hours? I think so. I suspect they are diluting their helium because why else would 6 balloons literally be on the floor after being kept environment? I got some balloons for my sons 8th bday and had to go back the next day. They made me repurchase them and then wait 45 min to fulfill the order because they were behind. I get being short staffed. I also get shortages on any number of things but please don't make me repurchase overpriced balloons because you are diluting your helium or buying cheap balloons that do not last until the party! I was civil in my discussion and didn't get frustrated. I just explained my experience and opinion to the cashier and the the manager who overheard the conversation literally told the employee not to talk to me. This place is a hot mess. The store is unorganized. The customer service is the absolute worst. And the prices are sky high. I went on a Friday night to get balloons filled. It took FOREVER. There is no sense of urgency with the employees and just crummy attitudes. I got some party supplies and balloons. The balloons were filled with "24 hour" helium. By noon the next day they were deflated. I returned them and got 21 questions by the general manager camille. No apology for the inconvenience but she asked me what I did wrong! It is a shame how much I forget I love Party City, until I actually go back to Party City. It is the best shop for all your party needs. I went recently to get some gift basket wrapping supplies and ended up finding some great deals for myself. I scored Christmas Holiday décor for super cheap. And I found an elf outfit for my son to wear to school for Spirit Week. And I didn't even have to dig deep in my pockets. They even had a nice assortment of holiday costumes and sweaters for an affordable budget. They also had high end Santa costumes that I wouldn't ever spend that much money but I appreciate that they have a variety of items at different prices. Employees are always super friendly. This Party City is literally the worst. I did an in-store pickup for table decorations for my moms birthday party. One, I never received a confirmation email & from what I recall an ,IN STORE pickup is ready in two hours or less. At least that's what the website says but not all stores follow this policy. So I had to call customer service & they immediately resent my email & then I called the store. There was a "busy" line for 10 minutes and then the best part whenever I got in touch with someone, I got hung up on. Not once but THREE times! No "we'll be with you as soon as we can" or "sorry for the wait" or better yet, why didn't the other employee offer to blow up my 5 balloons real quick? 40 minutes we are now leaving the store! I actually didn't realize that it was a party city on Northlake. I came in to purchase balloons for my daughters birthday. Jordyn assisted me and suggested color options for the balloons that I purchased. Although, it was busy the ladies were helpful and friendly. After I checked out I realized that I needed a large bag to place these humongous balloons in. The manager Shalonda, placed the balloons in a bag for me. So disorganized and understaffed. I placed an order for curbside pick up for a few costumes, nothing crazy at around 12pm. I got a text my order was ready at 5:11pm. Cool, I click the link, put my arrival time, it's cool. I get there, no one comes. I go inside, wait in the slowest line, my order isn't ready, no one knows where it is. They're all busy doing other things and not really caring about my order. I spent 30 minutes in the store, walked out with nothing. It was a waste of time for me and just irritating. The website said my order would be ready within two hours. I have never had such a terrible experience with curbside pick up with any other business but this one. A friend & I visited Party City at Northlake Commons on Tuesday 11-9-21. It was in the afternoon. The store was a WRECK. Many shelves were empty, I suppose for Christmas merchandise to be displayed there. Boxes were sitting everywhere. We were looking for Thanksgiving items. We found a few, but most were not priced. We looked throughout the store without any clerks asking if we needed help. Five were in a small group talking to each other & totally ignored us. Two clerks were behind the counter, one helping a customer with a balloon bouquet. The other one was dancing to the music playing in the store. We stood in line over 20 minutes & they did not say we will be with you soon or can we help you. When the lady with the balloons left we walked up to the register. One clerk checked us out. We spent about $65.00. We should have walked out & NOT bought anything. This is poor customer service, inattentive employees, not helpful to customers & employees not working but just talking to each other. I will never buy there again. I wouldn't be surprised if this store closes. It is poor representation for what Party City stands for. read more

Great, huge store now. Store is in great location near Northlake Mall. Store is very bright and exceptionally clean. Great customer service. They greet every customer that comes in. In addition, they ensure that at least 3 registers are open to service the customers and get them in and out. I stopped in the day before to grab some confetti for a Photoshoot I had to take, First issue too many people making balloons not enough on registers the line started to fill quickly with one person on register and the other 5 either making balloons or pretending to be doing something. All the customers are looking at each other like do y'all see this while the employees are looking at each other like who wants to hop on register. The next morning I woke up and decided to order a balloon for my mother's birthday I placed the order around 8 am that morning they didn't open until 10 so I wasn't expecting it to be done until 12 , but I got an email at 10 am that it was ready for pickup .... upon arriving my balloons were not blown up and one of the employees didn't catch her name had a nasty attitude like so ummmm what would you like to do .... I'm like I need the balloon NOW not in another 2 hours instead of giving me a resolution like oh mam im so sorry about that let me put this order down or give me a couple of mins and I will blow yours right up she acted as if she didn't really care so I did have to get a little rude and ask for the manager and to my surprise he was a little off too .... so moral of the story DON'T WASTE YOUR TIME ! read more

Customer service needs some help. I ran in to grab some party supplies but had to make it a quick trip because I had to go get my son. I grabbed everything I needed and proceeded to stand in line. I waited in line (as the only person) for 8 minutes. I was standing next to the only register that was open but was apparently not "in line". By the time another employee came to the registers to help, a line had formed of about 6 people. I was told that I needed to get in line even though I had been there waiting before anybody else. Needless to say, I didn't have time for that. You need to 1. Train employees to serve whoever has been there waiting first and 2. Have more employees at the register. read more
