Not open even though I was supposed to pick up balloons today (12 May). Graduation party. Already paid. Would give a 0 if possible.

I walked in 20 minutes after they opened. The store was empty except for about 3 employees. I needed 2 balloons but had to wait for the gentleman behind the counter to finish his call. When he was done, I had to say hello to him, even though I was standing in front of him. After telling him what I needed he proceeded to answer another call. A very long phone order. I have been standing here for 20 minutes. He's still on the phone. read more

Much like "Debbie Downer" on SNL, or that lingering drunken guest who won't leave a party, this Party City sucks the life out of any party, or any person for that matter. Because friends are having milestone birthdays this year, I've visited this Party City twice in the last 30 days. I tried to avoid the second visit to PC by ordering a slew of decorations online at Partycity.com, but needed the delivered helium balloons inflated for a friend's big day. Receipt from online purchase in hand, I bravely walked thru PC's doors. Apparently I misread the information and thought all the balloons were inflated free of charge when proof of purchase is shown. Only one (a giant balloon) was available for the free helium. This was explained to me after a bit of a wait, by a young lady at the counter. She was smart! She said I could return the zebra printed balloons ordered online, and re-buy them at the store, and the helium for those balloons would then be free, as opposed to ~ 89 cents each. Kudos for the quick thinking! The manager would have to approve the exchange. She got on the PA and asked for a manager and the waiting begins....it felt like years. Teh cash register associate told me "there are 3 managers working, we aren't busy, why aren't they coming up here?" I handed the balloons to the associates who were happily inflating balloons and said "can you please start inflating these?" They replied, "no ma'am, we get in trouble if we do that." So, the wait continued. The manager was retrieved by the cash register associate, and he wanted my e-mail (now I get annoying party city e-mails), needed me to fill out a form but couldn't locate it, and finally settled for a form where I put my name, address phone number, etc. Really? all of those steps when you just show an item at Target, show your payment methods and boom, you've got your refund. Then, out of the 12 balloons being inflated, ~ 4 of them popped or had holes in them while inflating. This was brutal. I was there 30+ minutes, when it should have been a 10-minute transaction at the max. To his credit, this same manager happily helped out with the checking out of guests at the previous painful party city run, but it was again, after a ruthless wait. I'm dreading my next run to party city for an August b'day. I think (and hope) there is one located near Jones Valley, because it *must* be a better experience. read more

if you want to get the wrong costume go here. they are good at giving you the wrong thing. cause an inconvenience and then read their policy. they can't return only exchange. even though it was by what I purchased. so was it a bait and switch? you just tell me it is in stock and then once I spend my money you say you won't give it back. I went there the other day for an exchange without a receipt. I purchased several weeks ago with cash so they said the manager had to go through the stacks of receipts to find mine. ...I've never heard of that but I waited patiently anyways since it's on me that I didn't keep my receipt. So after 10-15 minutes waiting, someone else came up and said they don't carry this product. They suppposedly carry the brand but not that prodcut. I told him that's impossible bc I bought it from this store. Went back to the ailse, and holy behold! the exact thing is there!!! Then they said it can't be return because I don't have a receipt. Holy bloody hell! It was going no where... so I just left. Horrible customer services and will not purchase anything else from them. I rather spend more at Hallmark or elsewhere to go through them again. It's fine and dandy when you buy all the crap from them, but when you have to return something it's worse than going through hell. Heck! I'll even buy party stuff from Wal-mart before going through them ever again! read more

This store has everything!!!! The low rating is because the employees and the manager are miserable! The manager Richard U. was so rude! The guy cashier named Cody was extremely nice but everyone else needed to go home!! I would rather go to a store where the employees are more welcoming!! The staff was extremely friendly and funny. One guy was walking around with a crown while cleaning all the Halloween stuff up. I like how you can browse pictures of the Halloween costumes then they come and get it from he back for ya. The had an extensive selection of Halloween accessories at comparable prices! read more

Customer service, at this location? You must be joking especially from someone working on the floor who first, doesn't care that he comes to work with unkempt hair and uniform. Second, has a very poor customer service attitude and third, who needs some serious training in professionalism if he wants to excel in his career. At least the manager that my colleague spoke to on the phone regarding the king hat seemed nice, which is why the one star rating was given. read more
