They require you to pay completely up front so you have no recourse after you sign dozens of disclaimers protecting them and nothing to protect you from their incompetence or mistakes. They did not even to pay for the damaged and broken part of the sink panel. Two weeks ago we were told they would get back to us......still waiting but don't expect we will ever hear from them again. I ordered a water softener through Home Depot that was supposed to be delivered 8/22/19. I never…read morereceived the water softener so called Home Depot and they clearly didn't want to deal with it so they said to wait until the 29th. I did not receive the water softener on 8/29/19. Called Home Depot they said delivery company confirmed it was delivered to me. It was not. They then say we will need to dispute the charge on our credit card. They then charged me again to get a water softener that will now be delivered to the closest store. After a couple more calls they now make it my problem to deal with the shipping company NSD that Home Depot hired to deliver my water softener. Keep reading it gets worse. I call NSDs find out that they sub-contracted the job to Zzzzz's moving in Grand Rapids Michigan. I called and Mark at Zzzzz's could care less that we never got our delivery but wants my help tracking down mistakenly delivered items from Amazon. I Loved Home Depot and bought almost all the stuff inside my home from them over the years. Now they want to make their poor choice for a shipping company my problem and have charged me 2 times for an water softener that was supposed to be delivered that I now am required to go pickup? Really I am truly disappointed with the way that Home Depot has handled this situation. Up until this matter I would have given them a 5 star. Home Depot has clearly changed trying to shift blame to the credit card company and shipping company's and washing their hands and making it my problem. I wish I could find the water softer I need some place else. I hate to give Home Depot a another penny. I'm upgrading the review. I spoke to a very nice Lady Debra in the dispute resolution center. Once she looked at the notes and called the shipping company she clearly saw that the issue was on there end and refunded our money. Would have been nice if they had handled it this way the first 4 calls.

The following day at 2:30pm it was then updated to unknown delivery time. So I have now lost 2 days of time and have no product! I called the store and after talking to a machine for 10 min I asked to be transferred to an actual human. It said it was going to transfer the call and then hung up.

Smaller projects, and we have always just loaded the lumber into our truck/trailer. The guys out back have been kind, and the materials have always been fine! However, the interactions with the salesmen have been strange and leave a bad taste on our ends. Just disappointing. Like Julia Robert's shopping for clothes in pretty women. Somehow we have been judged negatively, and treated poorly. To the point we are now looking elsewhere for our next (much larger) project. Would rather spend our money somewhere it's valued?
