I have used this company for years and have been generally satisfied with their products. But their customer service sucks! I was removing a finial from a rod to change the curtains and the top of the finial broke off at the weld (see photo 1) The other picture (photo 2) shows what the entire piece looks like. The new finials are the same design, but a different means of attachment. All I asked for was a replacement of the finial that sells for $35. I said I would drill out the plugged curtain rod and attach it myself. Here's the answer I got from the customer service rep: " We do not have a guaranteed life span for the hardware. Thank You, Melanie Ironhardware.com " My response: "Then you should have one - say 100 years. It is iron after all." In other words - Screw you Mister Customer.

Drapery bracket extension request at dotted line.

My drapery rods looked good, but when I had an issue with the brackets, the comment from customer service was, "we would charge you $55 per bracket for new custom ones but we can't really do that. Find someone else!" All that I wanted was to extend their standard bracket approximately two inches in length. The length requested accommodates standard Conrad brand window treatments. See my drawing below. This was not a crazy request. I was told by the company originally that they can do anything. Boy is that false. I highly recommend not using this company.

We've used Paso Robles Iron Works for curtain rods for two homes. Awesome work and customer service experience. Highly recommended!

There are nails sticking out of the carpet on each entry way / room change where tiles changed to carpet. I've emailed/called many times, immediately after and for over a year after, but, Knights was not responsive, they said they would send someone, commented on staffing and never fixed the problem. Also after the install, they left no carpet behind.

It's incredible how poor my experience with Knight's Carpets has been from beginning to end…read more My contractor brought on Knight's to complete a little over 4,000 square feet of flooring at a building I was remodeling to turn into a therapy center for special needs children. During my visit to pick out tile, the salesgirl, Mallory, brought out very pricy looking tile. I asked her if it fit into the budget we had outlined and she told me that she "didn't know". The following meeting with Mallory and my contractor I was informed that the tile we picked out was $4,000 over budget. I told the team that I did not approve of this and didn't appreciate the lack of transparency for the budget. Who tries to financially rip off special needs children? This company has such low integrity. But that wasn't the end of our horrendous experience with Knight's. The floor installers spent most of the day on their phone staring at my employees who were preparing the clinic for the children to come receive therapy. The day they left the base boards were already coming away from the wall and the door stops they installed were falling out of the baseboards. We have several cracks in the brand new laminate flooring, which it has taken over a month for them to come repair. In addition to that, the flooring does not reach near enough to the end of the wall to maintain structural integrity, so the baseboards have collapsed into the gap within days on installation. Today they told my contractor they were repairing both the floors and baseboards. They fixed a couple (but not all) cracks in the floor and none of the baseboards. They've told us numerous times that they would come repair it, so we cleared the clinic of children who intensively need therapy, but they did not arrive. The children we work with have enough struggles in their life, and the subpar service from Knight's is further exacerbating an already difficult situation.
