I purchased 2 of the 10.00 gift certificates and was sad to find out that the restaurant doesn't actually accept them. This however, was bad on restaurant.com's part. I don't hold this against them. When entering the building, there was a sign up that said they don't accept credit/debit cards. Thank goodness there was a gas station right next door with an ATM, because it was about 25 minutes out of our way and I would have been upset if I didn't get to eat there. Those two things aside, the experience was great. We were in the mood for breakfast food, which they serve all day long. They serve breakfast, lunch, dinner, and desert, all at really cheap prices. Their breakfast items range from $3.00 - $7.00 or so. They have one meal which is the one for around $7.00 ($6.95 I think) which includes 3 eggs, 2 pork chops, fried potatoes, and biscuits and gravy. Most meals are less than $5.00, which is very cheap considering the amount of food they give you. Their lunch items are also around 5.00, and their dinner options are $9.00 or less. My meal was only $4.00 for 2 eggs, my choice of meat (which I chose sausage links and it came with 4), fried potatoes, and toast. My husband chose the same thing with 3 eggs, which would have been $4.95 but he also chose goetta for his mean which was an extra $1.50 so it came to 6.45. They gave him a large piece of goetta too so the extra $1.50 wasn't bad. There is also an option to get steak for an extra $2.00. After we finished our breakfast, I couldn't help myself... and indulged in a piece of homemade peach cobbler with vanilla ice cream. It was really good. Our grand total was only $12.19! Amazing! I would have paid double that easy at a lot of other restaurants. Their menu also had a lot of different things that I would like to try. Everything looked good. They had a lot of specialty country style items also like chicken and dumplings, friend green tomatoes, and fried apples and biscuits. Other than that their service was good. The waitress was really friendly. They have 5 booths (all of which were filled) another 6 or so tables, and a bar with stools and a TV to watch. They seem to be doing pretty well for themselves. It may just be because it's out in the country so there's not that many options super close by, but I also think it's because the food is really good, and the prices are incredible. If I live around there, I would definitely be a regular. All I can say is I wish it were closer! Being that it isn't that close I won't go very often, but anytime I'm out that way I'll make it a point to stop by!

You want sausage and onion? Bacon and green pepper? Ham and pineapple? No can do unless that just happens to be the specialty slice they have that day. This is not to disparage the business, as they have limited space for product, but rather so the reader sets their expectations accordingly. That said, the slices are pretty good. The weak link is the crust, which is the type people sometimes call thin but is really medium thick, fluffy, no crispness, even on the edges. The cheese is good quality, nice and salty. The sauce is the strength of the slice but they use too little of it, possibly to make this a less messy offering, but really, they'd be better off emphasizing their strength here. While the slices are tasty, they are small and expensive for what you get. 4 dollars for a slice only slightly larger than my hand, and they do not offer the plain slice for less money than a topped slice. Not a good value proposition. 1 slice will not be enough for even the a light appetites, and 2 will not be enough to fill up a normal eater, and you're already at 8 bucks for 2 slices, which is a good bit bit more than I want to spend on lunch, particular a no-frills lunch like this. I was told that they can sell a full sized pie as well though this isnt on the menu. I did not ask about pricing.

The sandwich was perfect and came with really yummy home fries. I also got a small order of sugar bombs which are basically tiny fried balls of heaven. Their Cubano panini is my go-to but they were out today so that's really the only reason I'd give this a 4.5 out of 5 stars and it's a little bit pricey about $16 for a sammie and fries but the quality and taste does make up for the cost. Also the only other somewhat negative thing is that if there's music or a band playing you might not hear them call your name saying that your food is ready.
