I live a few blocks up the street and have been wanting to get a facial as I've not been taking care of this ole face as of late due to being busy. I called inside and asked if they take walk-ins, and the young lady placed me on quick hold and returned with a yes. I popped in shortly thereafter and was greeted by Jessie who invited me to the back and I entered the treatment room. I cocked an eyebrow as I scanned around at the no-frills environment. The room was quite small and chilly, not inviting at all. It seemed the bed was angled in the room to allow a bit of space to squeeze around it and the equipment to work on a client. Besides that there was not much else there in regard to a relaxing ambiance to enhance your pampered moment of the day. I dropped my shirt and slid beneath the cold sheet on a squeaky table. Lots of chatter beyond the door. Jessie came in and spent some time getting the prep and setup done. She clicked the light on over my face, brought in the steam and began her treatment. We engaged in small talk, that lead to conversation, that lead to laughs. She seemed skilled in her movements and explained things as she went along. She plugged in her iphone and started playing some music that sounded pretty bad and made the setting feel more awkward than relaxing. Better to have had none at all, but thanks for trying to make the best of things Jessie. At one point, someone tapped on the door and it opened, my eyes were covered. An older female began talking to her, along with someone else in their native tongue. An exchange went back and forth for a bit as the loud goings on in the mani/pedi area intruded into my quieter space as well. After a while the door closed, Jessie said sorry, and went back to work. Okay, Jessie did a great job, professional, obviously experienced in her trade. Effectiveness of the treatment and I was a walk in, worth the $60. The overall experience though...ugh, not a very relaxing pampered session that I don't think I want to endure again. If only they had more space to make it a pleasant experience without interruption. Excellent experience with Tracie and Passion Nails!! Despite the unassuming exterior in a strip mall, this place is very nice inside. Passion nails is professional, organized, clean, customer-focused, and driven to do excellent nails. I made an appointment a few days in advance with Tracie. She was ready and waiting for me when I arrived. Her station (and the entire place) is very clean with a COVID-barrier between her and the client as well as between stations. All patrons are asked to wash hands upon arrival and the team at Passion nails were very committed to cleanliness throughout the experience (clean packaged tools per patron, cleaning and disposal in between, lack of dust from nail tools, covered bins for dirty towels). The nail colors (huge selection!) are all completely organized within the salon and on nail tips for browsing, making it easy to make a selection, but hard to choose. They do all kinds of nails, acrylic, natural, dippin', gel with polish alone or with nail art. I saw other patrons getting acrylics and they looked beautiful and one also chose art which looked incredible. My gel manicure and pedicure were excellent! Tracie had nice attention to detail, made me feel pampered, and clearly wanted to ensure I walked out looking and feeling great, which I did. This will be my go-to place in the area! read more

She has been to a few nail places where she would complain about their work, a lot of times she needed to get her nails fixed or redone. Not once has she complained about Passion Nails. This place was terrible. The lady got nail polish all over my toes and then when I got shellac she got it all over my cuticles. She got mad when I asked about it and then her answer was to try to file my skin off at the end because she just kept going When I told her it hurt and stop she got even more mad and wouldnt fix it. Place is a joke and really dirty with unqualified personnel. Looks like a 5 year old did my nails. You do not get your money's worth because you will just have to take them off once you get home. read more

I really don't understand the good reviews about this place. Went in for mani/pedi. I was greeted monotonously by a girl I'm not convinced was even licensed to do nails. The salon was dirty. I did see some of the tools were sterilized. But everything else was covered in a layer of 'funk'. The pedi started out ok. First thing That usually tells me I'm in a crappy place is when they cut my cuticles. That's a no no. You can tell the supplies they buy are the cheapest of cheap just by the way they smell. I had to ask for a third coat of the color I chose for my toes and it still looked pale compared to the bottle. It seemed she wanted to use as little polish as possible. After the pedi, a different girl started my nails. The acrylic set I received is terrible. They're uneven and very poorly shaped. Sloppy and embarrassing. I asked for a very simple black star with a striping brush on one finger on each hand. And apparently that was just too much to ask. She acted as though it were an impossible feat. In Vietnamese, she told the girl who did my pedi to do the star on my nails. I also wanted an anchor on big toes. The stars are mediocre, but the anchors are poor. You cannot even tell what they are. I was charged $50 and left a $10 tip. I felt it was not worth a fight I would just lose and definitely didn't want to even attempt another set. I'm the type of person that doesn't necessarily need to make small talk with the tech, but some sort of friendly acknowledgment is appreciated. This was a bland and boring salon. With techs who obviously do not take their craft seriously. read more

I love going here. They have room for a whole gaggle of girls and super comfy chairs. I feel like the pedicure is way better than other places. Includes some circulation elements on calf muscles or bottom of feet and nice friendly staff. They could use an upgrade in their color selection but for $22 you can't beat it. read more
