But after we adjusted and relaxed, it was a deeply soothing experience. It was very easy to be in the moment and just meditate and listen to the music. I felt it was just the right amount of time, too. We still had about an hour of float time, not counting the first few minutes we spent trying to adjust and get comfortable. They alert you when your time is almost up, so you can rinse the salt off in the shower before leaving. It was a very unique experience for us as we had never done it before and I'd recommend it!

I think it makes everything taste like diet chalk. I am pleased to report my banana shake did NOT taste like chalk, and I downed the whole thing throughout the course of an afternoon. I am grateful for anything that includes calorie counts these days. As I am aiming to be a bit more mindful about how much I am consuming in a given day (and of what!) this is really helpful. Dr. Booth has the best bed side manner of any professional in the medical field I've ever experienced. Her passion and kindness in any situation is remarkable. I had questions regarding their processes and why they do what they do. I asked about why they put coloring into the toilet bowl, and why I had to pee past a certain line in the cup. He answered very politely and gave me great answers to the questions. The answer to the first question was: " So people don't use the water as a specimen sample and say it's their pee for the drug tests" Second Answer: " there is a thermometer an inch above the line, to make sure the specimens are fresh. Its Important that the temperature is between is 90- 100° to ensure authenticity and that its fresh".
