We also tried their red wine by the glass, and it was very, very good. When the carbonara came out, I couldn't wait to dig in. The crispy bits of bacon were tasty and the dish was seasoned perfectly. All in all, a fantastic meal. The only downside, no air conditioning and their pizza oven heats up the entire restaurant, not it's worth it!!!

The food was just spot on, along with friendly service. They took the time to explain the menu and didn't rush you along. The 1st - 2 evenings we just stuck with the pizza's and loved them all. I'd highly recommend anyone looking for good Italian food that tastes good and is filling to come try this place out. We repeatedly asked the status of our food and they just gave the same answer "it is coming very soon". Soon is used very loosely. Once all the food arrived, it was delicious, no complaints there. Service just is really lacking. If you want good food and lousy service this is the place to go. The inside of the establishment was very nice, the outside seating is small and if the church bell starts ringing, it rings for a long time and is very loud.

I ate past satiety (something I try not to do), because it was so good. The pasta was the perfect al dente and the grape tomatoes were delicious. Our meals did not come with any kind of bread, so that likely would have to be ordered separately. Also, silverware appeared to be stored in a canister on the table and our waiter did not seem aware that it lacked adequate forks for both my meal and my friend's. We were a solid 5 minutes into our meal and could not capture his attention. Finally one of us walked up to the middle of the restaurant to ask for a fork....interesting given their focus on limiting our time holding the table. I did appreciate the proximity of the restaurant, which was right next to a Christmas market. The inside was fairly basic, but clean. I know, I know. In Salzburg, and we want Lasagna? Well, we found Taste.It which did serve Italian food, yes, in Salzburg, mostly with seafood... unfortunately, I don't really care for seafood. Chef Walter Sanguedolce himself came and greeted us, a nice touch. We could tell he was a master of his Sicilian cooking since the majority of his menu included seafood. Did I mention I don't care for seafood? Anyway, the Lasagna lovers in the group opted for the Spaghetti Bolognese and it was fairly good, but a tad under seasoned. My wife had Spaghetti Pompadour, but she thought there was a wee bit too much garlic for her liking; she does not like garlic as much as I do. Regardless, the staff were all gracious and accommodating, especially considering that none of our group spoke Italian. Plus it was a treat to meet Chef Walter San-guedolce himself. We certainly did not expect this type of vintage Italian food here in Salzburg, but we might have as well have been in Naples. Cash only, so don't let that take you by surprise. While the pasta seemed like the kind you would find at the grocery store, I really enjoyed the dish as the carbonara was nice and creamy plus the pasta was topped with some fresh arugula. The service was also good and patient as I figured out what I wanted to order. If you are looking for some cheap Italian takeaway in Salzburg, this is a good place to get some nice pasta dishes.

Not very bright for not booking a table. This is a neighborhood gem so I do recommend that you book in advance. We ordered the Veal in Limone sauce and a caprese salad with buffalo mozzarella. The food arrived and it was art on a plate. The veal was perfectly cooked. Lemon sauce to die for and the veggies were a great accompaniment. The salad was beautiful and when added fresh black pepper and a bit of balsamic it was over the top. Service was great. Prices were very reasonable for Salzburg. Highly recommend and your should probably make a booking in advance.
