We feel very lucky and grateful that we reached out when we did. The insurance issues turned out to be complicated, because there were multiple policies, including a policy that Uber offers. It took a while, but eventually Uber offered to pay its entire insurance policy, but then that had to be divided among all the injured parties, including the Uber driver.
