The cookies are all crumble in your mouth fresh, with an attention to quality that is immediately apparent. Each offering has a unique style and flavor, and everything is very reasonably priced. The staff is super friendly, especially if you're making an effort to communicate in Italian. And as you'd expect, this cafe has a neighborhood, local feel. Words don't do this place justice! Amazing pasticceria!!! Friendly staff, super affordable, amazing espresso and the desserts are out of this world. My mother and I were on vacation in Montecatini at a hotel that was a 1 minute walk away (dangerous). Our morning routine was to get a cappuccino and un caffe. The espresso was strong and full of flavor. Most days we came back later in the day and tried other varieties - all great. Now about the desserts....nothing like I've ever tasted in America! Everything was so clean, had unique tastes with a perfect amount of sweetness - just mouthwatering. The prices were super low too. One visit we got 5 pastries for 8 euros. Amazing pastries! We visited several times and everything we ate was delicious; light and airy yumminess.

This pastry and chocolate store is like a candy house for adults who love good pastries, biscotti, chocolates and everything to do with Italian treats. They open early, at around 7 am with freshly made biscuits and pastries. The varieties is amazing! Its location is also a big plus, close distance to hotels and shops. They have s bar area serving wines, hard liquor and cheese and small bites. A great place for early or late snack. read more

We began our mornings everyday for 5 straight days in Montecatini with a cappuccino at Giovannini's. Everything was fabulous here, the cannoli and black and white pudding being highlights. Okay so I have a dilemma. I tried so many gelatos in Italy it started to get ridiculous how much I had. I mean there had to be a point in time where I said enough is enough...not! You can't get enough of gelato. It's one of my all-time favorite desserts! And Pasticceria Giovannini serves up one of the most exquisite gelato I have ever tasted...anywhere in the world! If you happen to be in the Tuscan region, or even better staying in Montecatini Terme, make your way to this heavenly bakery shop and enjoy the home-made deliciousness that they serve up. It's hard to describe how delicious it is but trust me on this you will not regret it. I had the pistachio flavored gelato and it was simply divine. The creaminess, the texture, and the flavor were all there. I have found one of my favorite places to date. When I go back to Tuscany I'm going to make sure I make a stop by this gelateria to have their goodness once more. As for the baked goods I didn't really try any of them so I can't comment on their quality, but if they make their gelato this great then how could their other products be anything less. If you are in Montecatini you should try cialde of Montecatini - this regions dessert. It is a simple wafer concocted with vanilla, almond and sugar and you can have it served with gelato which was superb. The service here was very sweet and the desserts were all delicious. Perfect way to end an evening. read more

We stopped in for desserts and I got a aperol spritz. The drink came with so many little bites of food, I didn't need dinner that night.
