He measured the windows so quickly (like 2 minutes) that I wondered if the windows world 3 actually fit (they did!). The price was extremely reasonable; we had intended to get three estimates but my mom and I both lined Kris so much we decided to go with him right away. I chose a day for installation when Kris was going to be out of town on vacation so he let me decide if we wait to wait until he got back or if we wanted him to send his right hand man Daniel. We went with Daniel who showed up right on time on a cold morning. I thought removing the old badly cracked panes of glass would be very difficult. I was right but they got the old ones out quickly and the new ones in so fast and they finished about 30 minutes before their estimate. They only removed one window at a time and our house never got cold on a 33 degree day This was one of the best customer experiences for a project I have ever had. I chose EV Windows after asking CharGBT to find me a great window company with very good reviews and I'm so glad I did. I do not have one negative thing to say. We had 13 windows replaced with white, double hung windows in December 2018. New Edge was our third bid on the windows and they were different from the beginning. Rob came to measure the windows. He was on time, measured all of the windows quickly and thoroughly, answered our questions and then left saying that he would provide a quote the next day. We appreciated this method vs. providing a quick/not as thought out quote and immediately negotiating on the spot. On the day of the install (was 3 weeks out) they were on time exactly and got to work quickly. There was some broken brick/uneven framing in the basement after the old windows were removed and the team fixed it up to perfection without charging a cent. My co-worker had 3 windows done in a pinch - they were listing their house and the extreme weather in Chicago caused cracks and they needed them redone quickly. I was happy (and relieved) when they confirmed our opinions on New Edge and were greatly pleased with the service. They respond quickly, explain pricing in detail, and even go above & beyond with the job (great cleanup, little fixes to make sure the job is finished well without charging extra). This company came out to do a job on my NEIGHBORS home, they left a mess I had nails all over my…read moredrive way and garbage was blowing all over our street from them, I picked most everything up, but just wanted to ask if they could run a magnet through my rocks ( yes we do occasionally drive on them) I reached out to Silva 4 times before I was contacted back. She was pleasant at first then called me back and told me her worker said he was told by the gentleman here that they did not have to worry about there mess he would take care of it, he didn't want them on his property... 1st off there was no man here ( no one was home at all...) 2nd one of the guys was already on the property picking up the big pieces of trash they let go. She said well he did run his magnet over your driveway, There's NO possible way he did with all the nails that were left and we also have 3 cameras that face our driveway 1 points straight down it one across it and the other the front and the only time it picked anyone up was when he was here picking up the big mess! She did tell me they would be here the next morning between 7-8 am I am still waiting for them but when I called her to ask if there was an eta she blew up on me, was Cussing me out and Hung up on me, Again this was all caught on camera, when I told her I am leaving a review. I have been NOTHING but nice and understanding of them... THIS IS NOT EVEN A COMPANY THAT WAS DOING ANY WORK FOR US BUT A NEIGHBOR!!
