I could not be more happy with EV Windows and Doors. They installed beautiful new windows to replace 70 year old windows at my parents house. We learned that the old windows were not even windows by today's standards, they were just huge panes of glass that gave no insulation. He measured the windows so quickly (like 2 minutes) that I wondered if the windows world 3 actually fit (they did!). The price was extremely reasonable; we had intended to get three estimates but my mom and I both lined Kris so much we decided to go with him right away. I chose a day for installation when Kris was going to be out of town on vacation so he let me decide if we wait to wait until he got back or if we wanted him to send his right hand man Daniel. We went with Daniel who showed up right on time on a cold morning. I thought removing the old badly cracked panes of glass would be very difficult. I was right but they got the old ones out quickly and the new ones in so fast and they finished about 30 minutes before their estimate. They only removed one window at a time and our house never got cold on a 33 degree day This was one of the best customer experiences for a project I have ever had. I chose EV Windows after asking CharGBT to find me a great window company with very good reviews and I'm so glad I did. I do not have one negative thing to say. We chose EV Windows to replace windows for our entire house. We had 25+ year old vinyl windows which were all leaking and drafty. Chris came out to do a thorough inspection and estimate. We are happy to keep up the 5 stars trend for this business. They did a fabulous job installing 12 new windows in our 1950s style ranch home. We ordered the windows and paid a $1k deposit in Dec. 2021 and supply chain issues, plus weather caused the wait for installation. The new windows are really nice and as others shared, eliminated drafts we felt in the past. But the unexpected surprise was how quiet it is in our house since we don't hear the wind like we did with our old rattling windows, outside traffic, airplanes overhead, etc. The staff of EV worked very fast, efficiently and left very little debris behind after taking out all the old windows. Our condo needed new windows (9) and sliding door, and Christopher was able to come in to give us an estimate. Liked that he was friendly and answered all my questions. Provided options that fit our needs and budget. I was hesitant about agreeing to get windows in November, but Christopher assured me that as long as its above 20 degrees, they can install. It took about 5 weeks for the windows to come in. Once it did, we scheduled right away. Installation day was on a Friday, they started at 9:30 am team of 3, they were nice helped me get rid of our old blinds that I didn't know how to take off. After going through a bid process (which included two other companies), Christopher was the easy choice for us. He was extremely responsive, friendly, and gave us good details on the options available to us. He was also very reasonably priced. After many years in waiting my wife and I decided we needed new windows for our home. We had a lot of windows including some picture windows. My wife asked me to find a Chicago area contractor. Thinking about this and knowing that there were lots of Ukrainians (prior experience working with Ukrainain software developers who are considered some of the world's best programmers) living in the Chicago area I started looking for window contractors that were Ukrainian base...... and I found one. The name of the window contractor was E. V. Windows & Doors. Our first meeting with Chris was great and somewhat unique. At the end of the meeting, I asked Chris why we should hire him. Chris responded saying they were the best ... ... ..and he said he had a team of Ukrainians working for him.... which was the best, most concise value proposition and greatest sales close I have ever experienced. For those who have never had the Ukrainian worker experience I strongly suggest you use E. V. Windows & Doors. Allow Chris to prove to you the masterly great Ukrainian work as they do window installs for your home. The only negotiation was discussing how soon he could start. Starting date became the main thing. While waiting for Chris's team to come a couple months later we would contact Chris and ask him questions about the project. When we had a question, we would email, or call and we got a near immediate response with a brief and accurate summary. They always responded quickly with great suggestions and updated us on the manufacturing and supply chain process for new windows. Being introduce to the window manufacturing-supply chain process with updates on each was very different from other prior service providers In the middle of September, Chris's Ukrainian team came to our home. Stefan, a nice and very smart guy was the crew leader. Introduicng himself in a professional manner, Stefan described the process they would use, a first for me. Other contractors for other jobs never explain in length in the manner Stefan describe to me. Then they went to work. Instead of being gabby like other work crews we had in our home from prior work they were heads down getting the work done. They moved fast, being very neat and tidy, always picking up anything that fell. When I came by and asked a question they immediately answered and then went right back to work. One thing I noticed as they were working was how focused and effective they were as they installed the larger picture windows on the second floor of our home. Despite the window size each crew man was able to install the window by himself. When the windows were installed, Stefan as they were finishing up explained how we should take care of the windows. As he was describe what, how, and why, I started noticing the window frames. Their structure looked very solid compared to other window designs I had seen at other retail locations. One of the other facts about Stefan and his crew, it took them only a few hours to get all the windows and everything in our home clean up. We were told by other vendors that our window project would take up most of the day. So I say try out E. V. Windows & Doors.....and enjoy the Ukrainian work experience. I appreciated the non-pushy real down-to-earth vibe I got from Chris when he came to our home for an estimate to replace the large front window in our home, our kitchen windows, and one window in our garage. Their quote was better than everyone elses and I went with my gut and hired them to do the job (we got 4 estimated). The window installation came in exactly when we were promised and once we got the call our windows were ready to be installed they were there a few days later. The window installers, Jaku and Roman (and one other guy whose name I forgot) got our 11 windows and 1 patio door installed in one day and really seemed to take pride in their work. We had Krzysztof and his crew replace the over half of the windows in our house in June. I did a lot of research and had garnished many quotes. EV windows were the most competitive. I was apprehensive about not going with a big name/brand but I'm so glad we went with them, from start to finish they were absolute pros and the windows so far look to be great quality and open and close like a dream. Krzysztof came to measure and give us a price, the windows came ahead of time and they installed 17 windows in a day. They replaced the original windows in our house (almost 100 years old) and amazingly there was no damage to the window surrounds/sills. You also wouldn't even know they had been there as they cleaned up really well after. We're having them come back next year to do the remaining windows that need replacement.
