I stuck to the main floor with the clothes, though they do have a second floor with bigger items like tents. I love the set up of the store, though it doesn't seem very friendly for folks who aren't able-bodied with the stairs right at the front entrance. Not super great. The product selection is pretty good, with tons of backpacks and water bottles greeting you as you walk up the stairs to the main floor. The clothing is split between men and women and they seemed to have some pretty decent sales going on. Not going to lie though, I was drawn to the huge selection of socks. A bit weird? Maybe. But there's something so wonderful about a great pair of socks, y'know? Anyway, the Trail Shop is a great independently owned sporting good stores, and if you're in the area I highly recommend checking it out. The staff are friendly and happy to help if you have questions, or to leave you alone if you just want to look around.

I talked to the manufacturer, the afore mentioned, "trusted brand", they declined to address the rip. So I went back to MEC to check on there guarantee. They agreed that it was a defect, and with zero hassle replaced the boots. Thanks to the staff who were chill and used common sense to determine it was a defect. -Bless up it's 2024 baby!

I am from Vancouver Island, one of the Meccas for Fly Fishing and while here my plan is to use some of my spare time productively tying some flies. For those that know fly tying know that it is a bottomless pit of materials, tools, and equipment when it comes to the hobby. This place has a large dedicated section of both flies, fly tying materials/equipment/tools/etc as well as fly fishing rods, reels, clothing and other accessories. I'd say a one stop shop for sure. The guys that work there are both very friendly and helpful, more than willing to help with some advice or recommendations on fly tying materials or colours, etc. The pricing is on par with any other fly fishing store so no complaints there. The only very minor complaint is that they are slow to restock some tying materials, but what they do have in stock is more than enough to satisfy me. Good source of Hardy and other high end reel makers as well so you can go drool over those as well. Their hours are good. Open Mon-Sat 9-6 mon-fri and 9-5 on sat. I've been in the store 3 times in less than a week lol and will be in countless more times in the coming months before I head back west to put my hard work to good use.

It was an awesome experience at a great price!! Additionally, they rent a lot of gear, bikes, canoes, kayaks, bear canisters, dry sacks, and much more. Furthermore, I rented a yurt from the national park service at Jake's Landing. The park service never gave me any information on unlocking the yurt, which happened to have a padlock on it!!! I can't remember exactly, but I think his name was Chad (a keji outfitter worker), he posted a note on the door with his phone number to try and help the people that reserved it the night be fore us. They couldn't get into their yurt also. 'Chad' assisted us with getting the combo to the yurt. Those folk at Keji Outfitters are kind souls indeed!!

Also, if a pair of pants don't fit correctly, they offer complementary hemming (if you purchase something before 3:00 P.M., it's ready the same day - otherwise, the next day). Clothes feel great, look great, and most importantly, the associates genuinely care about helping you. That's probably why the store is usually very busy.

I took the item off the shelf, and the assistant almost immediately came over to me, took the pull over, and said it will be in the changing room for you to fit on!!! I went to the changing room, please note there was a 7ft man standing at the door too, and I got undress/ dressed, and got out. when I got out of the fitting room the assistant once again said, Let me take that from you, it will be at the counter ready to pay... huh. I still didn't even have these items 2 minutes in my hands!!! when I got to the counter the cashier said, you can just tap your card!!! I will be honest I didn't enjoy this shopping experience at all, I felt like I was put on the spot, and I didn't even know what to make of this! The items I wanted, I got them, but you don't go to super store, and the cashier or assistant doesn't take the items out of your hands and put them at the counter when you are still busy shopping? no they don't, so why does these assistants do that? total amount was $218 for a 9 min shopping experience, it wasn't about the money, but you want to enjoy the experience of retail therapy, and this was not great. if you don't want customer to see, feel, and roam the store, then you should only have an online store!
