My most favorite Patagonia store ever! This is an outlet location but still has a GREAT selection, every time I have visited ! Lots of sweaters + other apparel marked down 40% or more. Hoodies and crew necks can be found for $20! Sometimes even less!! Lots of parking available and located in Freeport, ME with lots of other outlet stores in the area. Highly recommend! read more

Full disclosure: I hate "outlet" store shopping. I find that there are rarely any real deals to be had and mostly one has to deal with the annoyance of crowds. That said, when we travel to Camden Maine we generally stop in Freeport one of Maine's shopping outlet meccas (the other being in Kittery) and pop into a couple of the stores...mostly, this is my husband's desire to do so and not mine. I do like going into the L.L. Bean flagship store located here but that's about it. Over the years, I have been a fan of Patagonia clothing. I have had my share of Patagonia jackets, coats, fleeces, sweaters, etc. In fact I currently own a Patagonia winter coat that I love. My low rating here is purely for this outlet store which has, in my opinion, gone downhill in recent years. I can never find anything of interest here and neither can my husband. I was happy to see on this latest visit that they required masks to enter the store even though the town of Freeport has not otherwise mandated their indoor use. I appreciated the level of safety in mandating the masks. We browsed around for about 15-20 minutes and I can't say there was one thing that interested me. Overall, it didn't seem like there was all that much merchandise. If I am looking for something specific made by Patagonia, I will go to the regular Patagonia store in Boston or look in REI where non-outlet Patagonia items are sold. This isn't about not wanting a bargain, it's that this store seems lackluster. read more

Upmarket and definitely crowded today as we move deeper into Autumn and the leaves are on the ground. Lots of folks shopping Patagonia this afternoon. Sweaters and outerwear are the prime drivers here and they have a good selection of sizes and colors. It is quality and that is reflected in the price. This Patagonia Outlet store has insane deals!!!! I got a Reversible Silent Down Fleece Jacket (329 on the website) for 115 and a Bomber Hoodie for 87. The sizing selection isn't very expansive but I feel like that's to be expected with how much of a discount you are getting. The staff are also really nice; a young dude helped me (didn't catch his name) and he was really friendly. Will definitely come back if I'm ever in the area. If you like Patagonia then this place is a must to stop by when you are in Freeport. read more

Amazing! The staff, the store, everything about this location is amazing. My review is based on numerous phone orders, and not based on in-store purchases. I will tell you however, that based on phone service alone, I cannot imagine in-store service to be anything less than what I've experienced. What started out as an attempt to look for something at one of the local to me Patagonia outlets, turned into what felt like a manhunt LOL I actually spoke to customer service at the 800 number, and the woman graciously looked up the items that I was searching for and totally hook me up with the largest outlet stores that they have. This being definitely one of the largest. My initial call was to find a very specific item in a very specific color. Because of weather conditions, my phone calls were made daily, and the staff embraced getting to know me. They knew that I was in search of something for a gift and that my options for finding that were fairly limited. It took literally 2 1/2 weeks to finally tracked down the needle in the haystack item. Well I continued my search by calling them every day as they requested, I ended up shopping over the phone for a variety of other items as I waited patiently for the one that I wanted. The staff was nothing less than amazing. They were happy to look for sizes, specific colors, and just made me feel like I was standing in the store shopping. I can't say that I've ever had this experience over the phone shopping in my entire life. Patagonia is such a trusted label, that if you have never been into one of their stores or outlets, or for that matter purchased any of their items in the numerous retail outlet locations/various department stores, you may be missing out. They are definitely pricier, but when you know the history of the company it all comes together and makes sense. I hope to one day be in Maine, and pay a visit to the store. Truly a wonderful experience, and the fact that they were able to help me locate the one item that was to be a gift, just made my efforts as well as there's that much more memorable. read more

I drove to Freeport to check out LL Bean and the LL Bean factory, but found nothing I wanted. I kept looking at the LL Bean stuff and thinking, "this is like a lesser version of Patagonia's ___________". Well, I looked directly across the street and there it was. A Patagonia outlet! I've never been to a Patagonia Outlet before (turns out based on their website, there are only four Patagonia Outlets in existence). It's sort of small store (I'd say the size of a CVS or Walgreens) and they sell a mix of new retail stuff and outlet stuff. I got lucky and they were doing a clearance of last season's fleece, meaning it was an extra 40% off the already reduced outlet price. I was surprised to see Better Sweaters and Synchilla on the racks in normal sizes (not just XS or XXL). I ended up buying a Better Sweater 1/4 Zip for a total of $34.80. A great deal! The normal outlet stuff is still decently discounted, but remember that a discount off an expensive jacket is still going to be an expensive jacket. I was surprised that they had lots of their popular items available. Things like Nano Puff, R1, and Triolet were discounted somewhere around 10-20%. Some of the items were tagged as irregular, but I couldn't find anything wrong with them. Had it not been for the extra 40% off already discounted fleece, I don't think I would have purchased anything. The normal outlet stuff you can probably instead just go to REI and use the 20% member coupons when they're available. read more

I have been to this store in person a few times, but haven't been up to ME for a while. My most recent experience was for a phone order and it was GREAT! First spoke to Ethan, then Laura, then Sheila. All were super nice and accommodating. Sheila went out of her way to look up items I was trying to find in the inventory system, so she could tell me where to locate them. She also went to the trouble of searching through her own inventory for things, and telling me the times of year when they have most stock of what I needed, which was REALLY helpful. Historically the Patagonia outlets have big sales in Feb and Sept (Labor Day). They used to have more sales, and also weekly steep discount deals, but unfortunately, the best deals are in-store so it is always worth the trip if you are going to be nearby. While they no longer have the frequency of sales, they do now offer free shipping on $75, and all outlets will now ship, whereas before you could only do mail orders through Dillon MT. Patagonia has also opened a few more outlet locations as well, so you now have more options. I am very happy to have called these folks, and grateful for all the savings! Thank you, Sheila!!!! :-) *One thing to note. It can be hard to get through to someone when calling. If they are busy with in-store customers, they will let their machine get it, and the recording asks you to call back. I went more than an hour trying off and on to get through (not during a sale), so they can get busy and you may need to try a few times. My family have been here so many times, even to the older location, that we are losing count! Let's put it this way, every time we are traveling to Maine, we come up here and sometimes multiple days because we forgot something! Aaron, the store manager is awesome and he's got a truly awesome staff. They are knowledgeable, friendly, and my family and friends love making the trip to this store. Yes, it's true you may not get all the selections in store but they will make an attempt to try to locate it for you whether in the back room or at a different location. There were no other Patagonia outlets or Patagonia stores. Patagonia was mail order only. Always good deals. Always friendly staff. Limited sizes on anything other than most current year product. read more

It's a super small store. That's basically all you need to know. The first floor is a normal (non-outlet) Patagonia store. Only the upstairs, which is mayyybe 800 sq ft, is the outlet portion. The deals were okay but not great. Usually around 30-40% off. But with such a limited selection, I was disappointed. read more

Located in the Freeport mall this place is filled with 2 floors of merchandise. Prices are very low here, I haven't seen lower anywhere even online. Return policy is great too, you can return anywhere there is a Petagonia Store with no questions asked. They do charge 25c here for a bag so that the donation goes to Maine Wildlife Society. Extreme friendly staff here also. there is also the Petagonia footwear store just down the block from this one. I been using their products for a long time and I am very satisfied. read more

I hope this store stops the shop by phone appointments soon. It is quite a nuisance to have to book an appointment to visit, especially when their current calendar only books ahead for a week and at present all the shopping slots are filled. I believe in pandemic safety and would never go into an establishment that I felt was unsafe. With warm weather in Maine now, they could keep doors and windows open, require masks for everyone, and maybe set limits if the store became so crowded that people couldn't be a reasonable distance apart. Hopefully many people will be vaccinated soon which would also help. Other stores of the same size in Freeport do not have this policy. Thank goodness. I also wish Freeport would open the public restrooms. Seriously, if the town expects folks to patronize their establishments, restrooms and hand washing establishments are necessary! read more

This is a small store with very few sales. It was too crowded when I went on a Saturday morning so I would recommend going during the week day. There is two floors. The upstairs is men and women's clearance. The downstairs is women and a little clearance section as well. The clearance did not have that great of a selection. The sale was 30-40% off but the inventory variety was low. read more

You can never knock Patagonia for their quality, but I was a little bit disappointed that I didn't find better deals on their outerwear in this outlet setting. They had a storewide 30% sale going on (with a few exceptions) but the only jacket I cared about listed at just over $400. Even with the discount that still made it a little bit pricey for my pocket. Guess I'll have to wait and pick something up at the KTP for a better bargain. read more

I love Patagonia clothes, but I hate the prices. This is one of the few, real outlet stores in Freeport, where they sell overstocks and seconds at a significant discount. They also have this season's stuff at full price, so take a good look around and make sure you got a good deal. read more

The staff at this Patagonia outlet are quite frankly dead inside. I've been here a few times recently and every time I left I wish I hadn't come in the first place. They have zero social skills and I consistently felt like they were trying to teach me and everyone else in the store a lesson in "cool." Finally got fed up trying to get a jacket in the right size and returned what I had bought to go to the North Face next door where the prices are much better and the staff was 10x more helpful.
