I had a medical issue and spent 72 hours with zero resolution or even appointment from the primary care giver, however the nursing staff and the daily behavioral health techs were amazing with the exception of one. Nancy who absolute should not be employed there, as she was aggressive,non approachable and judgemental as she stated this to our entire group that if she didn't "vibe" with a client she refused to care for them and would have another staff member care for them. This caused massive insecurities with many of the women including myself. The person you spend a majority of your day with sharing to the entire group that she would refuse to give care if she didn't "vibe"!!!! Disgusting! At the 72 hour mark when I absolutely needed to be seen by a medical provider other than the housing nurse I demanded to go to the ER. I was dropped off, left with no phone, no money and the hospital Dr stated I was an alcoholic and addict therefore this was my issue. He never touched me nor cared to listen to my current health condition which was the cause of my symptoms. When discharged the hospital instructed me to wait outside or in the er waiting room. I waited 1 hour and 45 minutes after discharge before I was picked up! This was not the fault of the staff person responsible for picking me up, it was due to the fact they are under staffed. When my husband and I spoke with admissions our number 1 concern was my safety as well as being sure there would not be any men in the house, which i was promised numerous times there would not be. This was a lie, each night with the exception of 2 out of my 8 it was a man, a large man. When I addressed this concern with the higher up, I was told they were professionals as well as GAY! WHAT??! However, this gentleman is married to a daytime BHT at the same house and recently had a baby together! My addiction and trauma was due to a man from my past.. I did not sleep, even though we were demanded to go to bed at 10:30pm..as they call LIGHTS OUT! Doors unlocked, no security on property. When I addressed this I was told we were in the middle of nowhere and noone would bother us! Wouldn't you think it would be the opposite?! After 8 days of pure hell even while I gave it my all, I discharged myself and was driven off property to the "admissions" parking lot. When my Uber wasn't able to be arrive for over an hour the supervisor called the BHT who transported me and told her to drop me off at the love's truck stop 5 miles down the road. When I advocated for myself with disbelief that they would demand her to do this, they then offered for me to come back to the original ranch house and wait there! The BHT was extremely supportive of me and waited for my Uber to confirm a pickup time which was 1.5 hours later! A truck stop..the number 1 sex trafficking location in the world..I was left there! Overall Uber nor lyft could not pick me up because it was so far out of the way and no drivers were available. After 3 hours at the truck stop I hitched a ride with a husband and wife in the back of their truck (bed of their truck) on the interstate 13 miles away to the closest motel to the love's trucks top which my husband booked for me. At 10 o'clock at night! A truck stop, then in the bed of a strangers truck to attempt to get to safety! My husband drove 10 hours to come get me because airline tickets were 900 dollars..we are still currently in the car driving home back to the safety of my family in Florida..thank god! Please, please I beg you do not go there or send your family there! The worst experience of my life..and if that doesn't keep me sober NOTHING will! I had to cook my own meals plus a dinner for the entire house which was 20 girls plus house mothers. This is a lot for someone who could barely function and required treatment. I was there for 10 days and not allowed to make phone calls. None! The therapist told my husband I was not doing well and needed a higher level of care. He then left for the weekend. I was nearly catatonic and could barely form a sentence. I tried talking to the house, mothers, a nurse, the doctor, therapist, and the head therapist and I could not get the help I needed. I'm still being treated for PTSD from staying at The Ranch and it has been seven years. The only time I felt safe was my last night in the infirmary before I left. This is not a place for someone with any sort of mental disorder. It is more of a recovery center for addiction. It is a holistic approach to healing. Please read reviews carefully before you go. During detox, I received medications for withdrawal and was moved to the women's cabin within a few days, where I was expected to walk to classes and medication lines despite still experiencing significant withdrawal symptoms. I fell several times and sometimes struggled with simple tasks because I was weak and unsteady. The meals provided during detox were preselected, often cold, and did not accommodate my dietary needs. Because I have had weight-loss surgery and no longer have a gallbladder, I struggled to find suitable food, lost a significant amount of weight, and frequently lacked the energy needed to participate fully in the program. There were times when I felt unsafe or unsupported. Residents were told to wait for a golf cart for nighttime transportation, yet because the night shift was short-staffed, we sometimes had to walk alone to receive medications. I also found transportation to off-site meetings difficult because I am prone to severe motion sickness, and I experienced conflict with another resident over seating arrangements in the van. Frequent check-ins, random drug screens, locked dorms, and strict attendance requirements made me feel as though I was being processed rather than cared for. The inability to return briefly to my room for forgotten or necessary items, or to rest when I felt ill, added to my stress. Technical problems with the iPads used for schedules and communication created additional frustration. The detox rooms were extremely cold, and I experienced painful ant bites in the designated smoking areas. Some staff members were compassionate and helpful, while others seemed overworked or disengaged, suggesting possible understaffing and burnout. The strongest aspect of my stay was the quality of the clinical care. The counselors, physicians, nurses, and instructors were knowledgeable, caring, and provided valuable education about addiction and recovery. For me, the facility was adequate for detoxification and medical care, but I would not choose it again for a longer-term or residential stay. Also, because of serious issues with my stage 4 Huntingtons disease spouse who is in a nursing home and having many health issues like falling, not able to walk, talk and chokes, my family asked me to return home as soon as possible so I ended my treatment plan and left after 25 days. I was informed that once I completed treatment an over ride would be provided for me through the facility and because I had a family emergency and experienced a toxic environment, they would not provide a ride for me.

I was told he needed more hospital stays for anyone to believe he needs more help. I had documentation of everything I was saying and everyone refused to review it. I was told he would actually have to act upon things he stated or work harder at harming himself before he'd qualify for more intense services.... DO BETTER! You'd rather wait until he becomes more violent and harms a peer or an entire school before allowing him to get the help he needs? WOW I spoke with the Dr one night and he told me he was going to monitor the med changes for my kiddo for the next few days in order to watch for the things my son and I had concerns of. That SAME night he told the therapist he was discharging him and that he told me he was doing that. It took 2 days for the therapist to call me back. When she did she simply told me he was being discharged and she believed what I was conveying to her, but he didn't show that stuff in the facility.... after only THREE days and not having any true expectations. I was assured we would receive amazing help from the discharge staff and that they would be our saving grace to find future services. That was a joke. They weren't aware of any suggested services by the provider. When I made them aware of it I was told all information would be on our discharge paperwork... and ignored any questions I had. At discharge the guy just kept shoving papers in my face to sign and not answering any questions I had. He just kept telling me I was getting copies and could read about it later. While I was trying to read the information then, he just kept pointing and telling me to sign here and here. I didn't receive the result from the blood work they completed until I read it on the discharge paperwork AND THEN DISCOVERED THEY DID NOT order the one level test which was the entire reason they were doing the blood draw. Per their website, I sent pictures with him. They had no frame and I knew it would bring him comfort. I discovered during our visitation, that he wasn't allowed to have them. I spoke with the staff at visitation who assured me that he would be allowed, and they would get it corrected. That never happened! He was refused access the entire time, even though he kept asking. He also came home with a small rash, no biggie, possibly a heat rash, but he told the staff about it and for 2 days was told the doctor would look at it. On the last day he was told by the doctor was too busy to stop by for something like that and it remained unchecked. The rash ended up on his back, leg and stomach. It could have been because they refused to allow him to utilize the soap I sent in. He's dye free in all ways. Not only for behaviors, but also for skin issues and physical symptoms he receives from it. They told me they were making an exception to their "no outside hygiene item" rule, THAT WAS A LIE! When looking over the documents they sent home, they contradicted themselves a few times and stated he had tendencies that were dangerous to others.... but he's not a danger, right? They also listed things that happened to him in his past (toddler age) as things of concern to watch for HIM to do, when there have NEVER been any indications of anything like that being the issue. Overall, the only thing that came out of his stay was a few days without major chaos in my home. Nice break, but not helpful! Very disappointed!

So I scheduled a physical with a doctor (not Dr Williams, but in the same building) who laughed when I mentioned that half of my foot had been numb for several weeks. He chuckled and said, "Well, that could be anything. Nerve issues are hard to pin down." The end. My brain was saying, "So let's at least rule out those that could end in amputation!" But instead I just sat there, embarrassed, and left with zero answers. The following year I found Dr Williams. Her physical was very thorough and she actually took time to listen and ask questions. I have NEVER experienced a doctor who seemed to really care about me as a person vs as Patient #5362. Honestly. I eventually sent my husband to her as well and he came home raving about her thoroughness. We knew if she was running late, it was because she had a patient she needed more time with. And since it could've been us, we felt she was worth the wait! A couple years ago Dr Williams transitioned to an new, concierge-type office model. She did this so she could continue to focus on her patients as long as needed vs herding them through the way traditional healthcare is modeled. We didn't join her new practice but only because we moved out of state. 2+ years later, we're still searching for a new "Dr Williams". Sadly, she is one-of-a-kind.
