I am even more impressed now than when we established the original Trust. Since that time, the Trust has gone through several revisions. We also have established an additional Trust. Throughout the process, John Chang has proven to be very knowledgeable and helpful, providing cogent advice and ensuring all relevant documents are in order and correctly submitted. I was referred to Patinelli and Chang by my realtor for a second opinion, regarding an estate, I became trustee of. I had some questions and issues with the current attorney, beneficiary payouts, and I needed a second opinion. Mr. Chang made time for me, sat with me and listened while I explained my concerns and provided documentation for his review. He was very patient, asked questions, reviewed the paperwork and provided feedback. He provided options and discussed pros and cons. He was empathetic, did not beat around the bush and was honest with his answers. It was exactly what I was looking for. I knew I could trust his advice and he made no effort to attempt to have me use him in place of the current attorney. He suggested ways to save money by minimizing what I had the attorney do and by doing things myself. He made suggestions on trying to deal with or negotiate with one of the beneficiaries causing problems. In the end he took approximately 40 mins with me and when I took out my wallet I was told the consultant was free. He provided a card and said if he could be of any further help to let him know. It rare you find people willing to give you their time and expertise for nothing in return these days. I will be contacting Mr. Chang in the future to update my own trust having seen the loophole in the one I'm administering now and want to ensure no such issue arises in my own.
