Once in the store, I was able to receive service. After scheduling an appointment we received a quote to replace the tile in our master bath. We were ready to move forward until we read the contract. The terms of the Good Guys Flooring contract were unreasonable. Per the contract, an upfront payment of 75% is required. Cancellation would result in the loss of up to 50% of the deposit. We requested that a start date and date of completion be added to the contract before we would sign. Without a date, the company could delay our project indefinitely and keep our money after we got tired of waiting. The store representative stated that he needed to speak to the manager regarding our concerns. We never heard from him again. Eventually, the DocuSign contract was canceled. I guess there is such a thing as having more business than you can handle.

We also had someone on the roof to install a vent for a water heater and he noted severe rotting under our three dormers that should have been taken care of with the roof. We ended up fixing these ourselves. No, I wouldn't recommend them because they didn't complete the job to our satisfaction. Does anyone care about giving the customer good service anymore?

After the initial sale, there were various miscommunications apparently AT Starwood that caused several delays (promised 60 day delivery, but never communicated up/down the line). Once install finally happened, several shutters arrived damaged and caused further delay. After having our plantation shutters less than 7 months, one broke (a screw literally fell out). The shutter was in a less-used room, so it's not even like the shutter was opened/closed daily! Starwood sent out a repair person, but he initially said a repair would not be covered under warranty. He did eventually find a fix with items from his truck, but now I wonder about the craftsmanship and life of all of the shutters.

I hired Alex Jacquiss of Sweet Home Services for a bathroom project and had a very disappointing and disturbing experience marked by poor workmanship, lack of professionalism, lack of integrity, and concerning communication. The bathtub was installed out of level, twice, and I was told multiple times it had been corrected when it clearly had not. Tile was installed around the bathtub without checking the level first or in spite of it knowingly being unlevel. Being misled and deceived about something this fundamental is unacceptable. They also painted using the wrong color and wrong brand, twice, and again were not upfront about the mistake. When confronted, Alex insisted they had used the color and brand that I requested, and again completely disregarded my concerns. In addition, paint and waste was dumped in our front yard, which was both unprofessional and unacceptable. Communication was inconsistent, with poor responsiveness and little accountability when issues were raised by me. When I vocalized concerns about scheduling and communication, they were disregarded or completely ignored. On one occasion, no one showed up at all, and I had to reach out to find out what was going on. Rather than taking accountability, Alex dismissed my concerns that I raised about workmanship and professionalism with excuses and blame. There was a consistent pattern of defensiveness and gaslighting from Alex throughout the entirety of the project. Basic job site care was lacking. The vanity was never properly covered during work, and as a result there was minor damage. They also chipped the new floor tile and baseboards during the process. I ultimately had to hire a new contractor to correct the work, including re-leveling the tub and repairing damage to the vanity, ceiling, baseboards, and walls. This required redoing significant portions of the project for which I already paid Alex. On a personal note, the way the work was handled and how my concerns were addressed felt disrespectful to both me and my home. Overall, this experience reflected a lack of attention to detail, a lack of accountability and integrity, and repeated dishonesty, blame, and gaslighting. I cannot recommend this company, and in my opinion, hiring them for a major project carries significant risk.

I hired this company to paint my ceiling and door and install decorative door casings. I also made…read morea special request to help me find paint matching my walls. They did an excellent job matching the odd periwinkle color of my walls, which is great because now I have the barcode and a can of paint to do touch-ups, etc. However, I am very disappointed they did not paint the door and casings to match the same shade of white of the trim throughout the rest of my house. I called several times to try to get them back out to resolve this, but I am still waiting to hear back from someone to make it right.

The project took 4 1/2 weeks from the day they started the kitchen demo. Note in the before photos that we had fur downs & square recessed lights both of which they removed giving us taller upper cabinets & adjustable brightness LED canned lights. We also had them replaced the square lights in our living room & swap the floodlights in our family room's canned lights for the same adjustable LEDs. The general contractor did a really great job of managing the project & has several great subs that he has worked with long term (cabinets, countertops, & tile/backsplash) for work that his own staff doesn't focus on (1/2 of whom are his family). Very high quality work with an attention to detail including bringing any issues to our attention so that they can be addressed (e.g., leaking faucet in the laundry room). Very reasonable pricing & they were agreeable to us adding on extra things like replacing the switches & outlets outside of the kitchen area with the same square modern ones that were put in our "new" kitchen. We are also having them paint the paneling in our family room as a separate project that they will do this week. We will absolutely call them first for any future projects. The project scope includes removing old expansion crack material, recaulking, and sealing the decorative stamped concrete area. The Contract was $15,000, and our representative was Leonard. By December, the sealer was showing extreme clouding to the finish. We reported the problem to Leonard, who visited. Leonard was uncertain about what happened but opted to involve the sealer provider, Sherwin-Williams. Chemical solvents were unsuccessful in removing the damaged finish. Next, a pressure washer was used to no benefit. As time progressed, Leonard claimed we needed to wait for cooler weather. Unfortunately, a few weeks ago, the Company abandoned the job, leaving us with a terrible eyesore. We are preparing to file suit for the original cost plus damages in Collin County Court. I would highly recommend not using this company for any significant investment jobs. We have been left with a mess and the Company no longer responds.

They discussed the situation with us and showed us pictures of what was causing the leaks and immediately went to replacing the boards and fixing the gaps. After the roof was replaced, they quickly cleaned up the yard and made sure that we had no nails or debris. We have a pool and they even made sure that no flying debris landed in the pool.
