This place is built on the site of the former Mountain View Inn, which was a magnificent hotel that Elvis once stayed in. The hotel's glory days faded after years of vacancy and ultimately, a fire. They bulldozed the hotel and built this place instead. It's a nice upgrade from the abandoned burnt out shell that once stood there.

I was able to get a couple nice things for myself as well as a great gift for a friend back home who dog sat my furry companion. The store is pretty big and virtually every inch has something interesting to consider buying. I wish the online store featured more of the items actually sold in store because I'd probably buy a cactus for myself after seeing the one I bought my friend. The salesperson also gave us some tips on where to visit while we were in the area. She was really friendly and a great resource for us. If you only get a chance to visit one gift shop in the area I'd say this one is your best bet!
