This store has the absolute worst customer service ever. I spent over $7k there on deck furniture and was promised a delivery within 2-4wks. That was over 4months ago. Many, many phone calls later and many promised delivery dates later, and still no furniture. They are all either incompetent or dishonest, or both, including the owner. Nothing but excuses and lies. Worst decision ever to shop here. They refuse to provide a refund even though they cannot provide the order. Do not shop here! read more

One star is one too many. Terrible customer service. We ordered some patio furniture that we were told would be ready in 6 weeks since the frames were in stock. It was a special order since the cushions had a custom fabric. Seems it's no ones job to follow up on orders. 6 weeks later we call and find that it's not in stock and it is being shipped from somewhere and will be 4 to 6 more weeks. Now it's 6 to 8 weeks. If you're thinking of giving them a deposit on something that they need to order for you, DON'T give them a cent. They took my deposit, and I NEVER got my merchandise. All I ever got from them were stalls, excuses, and lies. I don't think they ever did actually order my merchandise. They just took my deposit, and laughed all the way to the bank. I have never dealt with such rude and insensitive people in my life. They lied and said that my merchandise would be in in 2 weeks. They never called me, I always had to call them to find out when it was coming in but just kept getting the same story that "it would be in next week". This went on for 9 weeks and when I called them again the "president" of the company told me I was bothering him. I was totally appalled that he would treat me this way since he already had my money and I had no merchandise to show for it and really had no idea when I would receive it. I had a terrible experience with this store. In May I was promised delivery of a special ordered patio table in 4-6 weeks and received the table 19 weeks later, (mid Sept) well after Summer had passed. I was informed by Tim my salesperson that full payment was required for special orders, but after reading the fine print only 50% deposit was required. I was also not informed that my order was non-cancellable until I tried to cancel it. During this 4 month period the store was very rude and uncooperative. I had bought my home 2002 and was looking for the fireplace door. I am an asian indian and walked into this store with my wife and my daughter who was 2 years old. When i started looking around for the door the manger/sales man asked me what we were in the store for. I showed the fireplace user manual that i had in my hand and he without bothering to look at it blankly said - NOT FOR YOU GUYS... This was a RACIST statement me made, though i was sure at the point instead of arguing i walked out as i did not want to pick a brawl in front on my daughter and scare her. read more

We ordered a new fireplace surround with glass doors and mesh curtain. They came to install on June 4, 2014, but had brought solid mesh doors instead of the curtain I ordered (confirmed on the order sheet I had). The installer called the store from my living room to report the error and request that the curtain be ordered. For two months, no one from Patio World followed up. Then in late September, I called the store to report my disappointment with the lack of follow through -- especially after having already paid in full. I was assured they would order the mesh curtain (because they hadn't) and would call me to schedule an installation appointment. It's now November 26, and I have had to call no fewer than four times in the past 10 days to insist on a status update. I was told the week of November 10 that the curtain would ship out the week of November 17, only to call on November 22 and find out it was never shipped. I followed up on November 24, 25 and 26 only to have them confirm once again that the manufacturer never shipped it out and was now closed for the rest of Thanksgiving week. I'm told it will be shipped the week of December 1 and will be installed on Monday, December 8 -- six full months after the surround was installed. This is ridiculous! I would caution anyone from ever shopping at this store. We've had an abysmal customer service experience and will never order from this store again. read more

I am extremely disappointed with customer service at Patio World. We bought a set of furniture from them last July (2012) and paid over $5,000. The sales person told us the furniture was so durable, it wouldn't need to be covered or brought indoors for the winter. After just one (very mild) winter, the aluminum frame of the table expanded and bowed out so we now have metal protruding from the table and the finish is flaking off around it. We followed up with the manufacturer, another unhelpful company Casual Creations of Sarasota, FL. They told us, based on our photo, that the "freeze" damage is not covered by the warranty. Specifically, "If the table was left on its side and moisture had developed in the interior of the extrusion and froze, it will expand and cause this to happen. Unfortunately this is not covered under warranty." We obviously did not store the 84" long table we paid thousands of dollars for on 'its side', as we do have at least half a brain. Anyway, dissatisfied with the response from Casual Creations, I followed up with Patio World. The woman who answered the phone gave me an email address and I was told to send all information there, however she wasn't sure what they could do about it. This was on a Thursday and when I didn't hear back by the following Tuesday, I resent the email asking for an update. The person from Patio World got back to me via email that she would be out of the office, would follow up later in the week with Casual Creations but that they no longer have a relationship with them and wasn't sure what she could do about it. I wrote her back and expressed my disappointment with Patio World that it sounded like they weren't going to stand by the product they sold and I would like to escalate the matter. She then wrote me back basically admonishing me since she already told me that she wasn't at work and would have to get back to me later in the week. Starting the email with "as I said.." and then telling me a personal reason why she wasn't at work..which I find pretty unprofessional. I'm not expecting a good outcome based on this exchange and am extremely disappointed with both Patio World and Casual Creations. Patio World's sales rep sold us this furniture as a premium product that would be well worth the money since it wold last 'forever'. They should stand by this statement and replace our table if they cared at all about their customers. They should also consider training their employees a bit better on customer service. read more

DO NOT SHOP AT THIS STORE!!! I bought outdoor furniture here about 15 years ago and was very happy with the products and service. So, when I needed to replace a piece, I returned to this store-WHAT A MISTAKE!! We explained that we needed a bar height table and 4 chairs in 2 weeks for a BBQ. Sofia, the sales person promised we would get it. There were plenty of sets on the floor which she could have sold us, but she sold a set that needed to be ordered and said it wouldn't be a problem. My husband paid for the furniture and received the paperwork. He noted that we needed the furniture by Aug 15. Sofia wrote 2 weeks for delivery on the contract, but she also checked the "special order" box. Unfortunately, I did not read the contract, until after 2 weeks and I did not have my furniture - at which time they pointed out that I had to wait 8-18 weeks and could not cancel the item since it was a "special order". There is NOTHING SPECIAL ABOUT THE ORDER, it's just a bar height patio table and chairs!!! I paid $2300 for this set on Aug 6, 2015, it is now Nov 6, 2015 and the item is no where in sight. After numerous calls and false delivery dates, they told me today that the item will not be delivered until Spring 2016 and offered a 10% discount if I wait until Spring. I declined and asked for a refund and they are still refusing to refund my money, even though they do not have the product and won't have it well beyond the ridiculous 18 week waiting period. DO NOT SHOP AT THIS STORE - unless you like poor customer service or paying for items that you will not receive!! I too would give them minus 1 stars if possible. THEY ARE CROOKS! read more

Beware!!-If you order something at Patio World, you have to put down at least 50%. You will wait eight months or more for your stuff, and if they can't give you what you ordered, you can't get your money back. We bought and paid for some patio chairs and cushions on August 24, 2008. It's March 4 2009 and we're still waaaaaaiiiiiiitinggggggg. After almost 8 months, we still don't have the chairs, and they told us just last week, they can't send us the cushions we custom ordered. The salesperson who sold us the items asked us to come in and look at cushions they had received, thinking we might find something similar we could get instead. When we went in today, the salesperson was off, and the manager had no idea what we were talking about. Since they can't give us the cushions we ordered, I asked for my money back, and was told several times that would not be possible. We could order some different cushions and they would make them for us. Another 8 month wait??? My worst experience with an area business-EVER! read more

i have done business with this company and had to sue them over an unpaid bill. the bill was for approximately $2500.00. it was not disputed they just didn't pay. they never showed up in court and i got a judgment against them but still hasn't been collected by the court. i feel that a company that doesn't honor its debts would not treat it's customers fairly read more

i rate them as don't ever shop there!! purchased a gas log set..the one i chose was on display..i was never told it was a special order. after purchasing the set, then going home, i decided that i idid not want to spend that much money. i called first thing the next day..the salesperson told me it was a special order and i could not cancel..she told me she would have to speak with the owner....i called back twice to try and find out the results...i was told by the receptionist that the owner had my message and would call by days end. at 3:30 pm the owner called...i asked him if my order had been cancelled...his response floored me. "no, why should i cancel it? we have your signature and credit card number..and it is a special order....and my c/c/ had been processed...i told him that i had changed my mind (and knew that the c/c had not been processed..i had called visa..). he then told me that his salesperson had spent time with me ...i decided on which set i wanted in 5 min. the remaining time was her writing the order up...and that if he accepted everyone who wanted to cancel he would be out of business...i thought to myself, with his rudeness i wondered how he still was in business.... my advice...go somewhere else... sondra m. read more

After reading all of the negative reviews about this store, my wife and I were hesitant to take a look. Because they were one of the only local patio stores carrying what we were looking for, we decided to take a chance. The experience was extremely pleasant. The salesperson and her manager were very patient and spent a great deal of time with us showing us everything they thought could satisfy our requirements. When we found what we liked, we asked if the furniture was in stock, which it was. We negotiated a great price and closed the deal with a promise of delivery within 1 week. Five days later the furniture arrived and was carefully unloaded and placed in its location on our deck. We couldn't be more happy with the quality of the merchandise or the experience with this store. In spite of all the negative comments we had seen on YELP, our review amounted to 5 stars. We really think you have to give this store a chance before you dismiss it based on all the negativity. Some people are never happy with anything. By-the-way, we were told at the store that if we had to order something and it failed to arrive by the estimated promise date, the store's policy was to lend the customer a set of furniture until the final merchandise arrived. Not surprised to find out we are not the only ones with this store. We are still waiting for our order. Every time we call, another excuse and another delay. Unfortunately, we prepaid also. Our order was placed on mid-November 2014 and today is March 18, 2015. Last week when we called, we were told it was on the truck and would be ready this week. When we talked to David, the store Manager today, he said it was the Manufacturer's fault and it would be another month. I highly urge any potential future customers to avoid this patio place. Especially, when there are so many other patio places around the area. We are currently trying to cancel our order. Being a business owner for over 40+ years, I cannot believe the incompetency of this business and their employees.
