Both are gifted musicians and talented teachers. Having two locations also makes it convenient for the summer camps that are offered and also if we need to reschedule and get a makeup lesson at the other location. There are also several recitals throughout the year so my son has really learned the performance aspect of being a musician. My son has ADHD and his teachers are able to engage him throughout the lesson. As someone who is experienced in both adolescent development and pedagogy, Orpheus is, in my opinion, the best music school in central Texas.

The only thing I would like to see as an improvement is a good way to motivate her to practice. She has joined the Youth Chamber Orchestra at Dolce and that has helped a lot because there are other kids her age that she plays with and she doesn't want to be embarrassed by not knowing her part. Also, having performances to prepare for helps, but I wish they made a bigger deal about the performances approaching and perhaps had some system of accountability for the kids to work for, even if it was just a little prize.
