Beware I had just relocated to the Columbus, MS area and…read more was told by many to visit any dentist office for service, but NOT Aspen Dental. I wish I had taken their advice. I wanted to go by my experience and not word of mouth, I should have listened. Aspen Dental took as many X-rays my insurance would pay. I was seen by Dr. Moore for the initial exam. After all of that, between visits my crown fell off one implant. I called my new dentist office to have it cemented on and was told by the receptionist that she was to tell me "return to the dentist that initially placed the implant" This is not the message you want to receive when you are in need of service. The implant was done in another State lapproximately 15+ years ago. I went to my next appointment not for service, but to pick up all of the X-rays, 3D films, dental records, etc. sent to Aspen Dental from my previous dentist. I am happy I was made aware of the inexperience that dentist had on modern up to date procedure. Implants are the future and you need a dentist with that experience and training. I would not recommend Aspen Dental to anyone who cares about their dental hygiene. I even requested a call from the dentist to discuss possible treatment and noone from that office returned my call. Aspen Dental is all about Taking money and not about Taking care of their patient needs. This was my experience, so beware.

The lady recommended I check out Bright Smiles (that's the place she goes to). The office is really clean and nice and everyone was super sweet. I had such a great experience and left wanting to recommend them!

To those considering Bright Smiles as a provider in Columbus. BEWARE 1/23/24…read more I have used Bright Smiles for approximately 8 years. I had an appointment scheduled for 1/24/24 for my routine cleaning. The Dr.'s office called me this morning at 9:49 am. The person on the other end of the phone advised me that I must have a deep cleaning done, regardless of my financial situation. This is approximately $1800.00. Recent financial hurdles have put me in a situation. Where I need to hold off on the deep cleaning. I am fifty-seven and I have only ever had one deep cleaning in my life, which was two years ago at this office. According to the representative that called me, "Me not Having this service, prevents them from performing my bi-annual teeth cleaning." The representative was extorting me to perform the big $ service or not have the option for my routine cleaning and x-rays. I did advise the representative that called me that I would be looking for a new Dentist. There was no reply from the representative when I advised her of my intentions. This is how a business with a focus on profits treats a longtime patron vs a business with the patrons needs (both medical and financial) as their primary focus. I took away from this conversation if you go to Bright Smiles and you have a more profitable service they deem as mandatory, they will eventually require the expensive procedure to be done. If you do not do it, they will cut you off from the basic services provided by dentists. Make sure your credit cards have room or you have disposable funds, when considering Bright Smiles. As an 8-year customer, I was blown away by the audacity of the representative and the entire Management Team of Bright Smiles. If you are looking for a Dentist office in the Columbus area, I would NOT Consider Bright Smiles for the reason mentioned above. DMC

I asked not to have him do my work anymore and started seeing Dr. Herring instead. On a visit when I was NOT scheduled to see Dr. Woolfolk, he inserted himself into a discussion inappropriately and aggressively, and yelled at me because I was dissatisfied and upset about his poor work and communication. He also advised us to get work done that I later found out was not required. I highly discourage anyone from selecting Dr. Woolfolk as your dentist. You may have to travel a few extra minutes to find another dental office, but you will be saving yourself a huge headache. (Apparently, Dr. Herring is his father-in-law which may be why they keep him around.)

I got an emergency root canal about week ago. I called at 9, and they were willing to have me in…read morethe chair by 10, and by that afternoon it was all said and done and the recovery time was very fast. I think that's the only time a dentist has ever called me at home and left me his personal cell phone number to make sure I'm ok! You just can't get that kind of customer service anywhere else. The only thing I wish was different is that they're not a Delta Dental preferred provider plan, although for major endodontic work (root canals) you actually end up paying 50% no matter which provider you use, so in the grand scheme of things I guess it doesn't matter. Like I said, you just can't get this kind of service anywhere else.
