Great pit stop on the way to the beach
    Mike G.

I have always looked forward to stopping here for lunch on the way to the beach. I like their cheesesteaks and especially their chicken cheesesteaks . I really never enjoyed the pizza and tonight we had the Italian Stromboli. It was honestly worthy of pats 2 star rating, but I'll give it 3. It is very thick and doughy, not my style and the meats were all chopped really small and I don't even know if there was any cheese inside. Their fries are excellent and I had the cheese fries tonight and they were great. I guess that I will have to stick with the chicken cheesesteak next time.

If you want a classic Philly Cheesesteak in South Jersey- this is the place to come to! Also, their side salads are HUGE! Would love to see all Styrofoam products be discontinued, not just here, but in all venues that continue to use any non degradable products.

Pat's is a chain of pizza shops around the Philadelphia area. I don't think that Pat's is the best pizza place around, but it does have some endearing attributes. First of all, they have a nice selection of lunch specials. Although they recently raised the prices on several of them, I think they still represent a pretty good value and the lunch specials are also offered in the weekend. Their sandwiches are average - I think the quality of the meat that they use for both their chicken and beef cheesesteaks is a little lower quality than many of the other local shops and the amount of meat per sandwich is a little skimpier. However, they do have a nice selection of specialty sandwiches that are made with grilled chicken and ciabatta bread - I really like the Italian chicken myself. Their pizza is thicker and doughier than most other pizza - not quite Sicilian, but definitely thick. One nice touch is that they offer what they call a party pizza. It is a rectangular pizza that comes in two boxes and is listed as 18 slices. When I am having a party for my kids, I will order party pizzas and have then "double cut" the pies, which gives me 36 slices. They are still plenty filling and offer a great value for the dollars paid - definitely the best attribute of this shop. The dining room is pleasant enough, but is stocked with fixed booths, so it is not good for groups or parties that want to be seated together. Although I don't use it, I also understand that they have delivery.

    Large pie cut.

When I order a pizza, I want a fresh one. Not dryed up!.... Better pizza elsewhere that's not a chain.

They actually told me this is the standard size for they're wings. 2 inches.

We really like the cheese steak. So much that we ordered 4 to go to put in our freezer for the trip back home to Iowa.

Apparently, they go through 15 gallons of it every week. More on that in a minute. I took my cheesesteak over to Death of the Fox Brewery. Why? Because the two breweries that were closer happened to be closed. Their loss, my gain. I love Death of the Fox, but that's a story for a separate review. First, I sampled the meat, cheese, and onions by themselves. Pretty darn tasty. Next, I tried a bite on the toasted garlic roll. Very pretty darn tasty. Then I added the habanero sauce. Now we're talking. Very, very pretty darn tasty. If you've followed my cheesesteak adventures for any length of time, you know I'm not exactly a hot sauce guy. I was expecting some serious heat, but I'd describe this as more of a sweet habanero with a pleasant kick. Best of all, I suffered no repercussions afterward--a minor miracle. The cheesesteak was excellent, the garlic roll added another layer of flavor, and the habanero sauce tied everything together. Honestly, I'm surprised Whit or Whitout doesn't get mentioned more often on social media. They deserve a lot more attention. Decor was all Philly!!

You order at the counter & they'll call out the number on your receipt when it's ready. They don't have seating, but you can find benches throughout the boardwalk. My favorite item is the chicken wings! They're so crispy & the spicy chili sauce is my absolute favorite! It's actually spicy - I'd say a 7 out of 10 with a hint of sweetness. The meat inside is tender & juicy but you'll need plenty of napkins & wipes for that sticky sauce! There are other sauce options if you can't do spicy, but this particular sauce is the best in all of south Jersey in my opinion. They also have Korean rice bowls with bulgogi beef, pork, veggie or spicy tuna. I've tried the beef & pork & both were very delicious & authentic!

Korean food isn't naturally my first thought when going down the shore but I'm glad it's an option. My wife and I split the chicken sandwich (spicy honey soy) and corn dog (half cheese/hotdog). The chicken sandwich was a generous portion. Anytime I get "spicy" at a restaurant/fast food spot it's not spiced enough but this packed a punch. Nice balance with the sweet from the honey and the salt from the soy. It was topped off with a refreshing slaw. My only gripe was the bread. If I had to guess it was potato bread. It was super soft but dense/heavy. It was still an A+ sandwich. Came with a bag of chips and canned soda. The corndog was nothing short of amazing. Great crunch, melted mozzarella, and quality dog (Nathan's or Hebrew). I got it drizzled with spicy mayo and ketchup. I preferred the corndog as it was easier to eat. Get plenty of napkins or you'll wear your food . I would highly recommend and can't wait to try the rest of the menu.
