One of the local celebrities (Mike Todd) I follow on Twitter was sent a mask early on in COVID that was made by The Fabric Shop. It was an awesome Ohio University mask. I reached out to the shop by telephone and they were willing to charge me over the phone and ship me a mask. The customer service was phenomenal. The mask arrived quickly and they did not gouge me on pricing for either the mask or the shipping. It was extremely reasonable. During this entire pandemic the only mask I used was my awesome Bobcat mask until I lost it last week. I quickly called up The Fabric Shop and they of course gave me the same service as before. The employee let me know that they use whatever OU fabric they have on hand so the pattern of the mask may be different. I told her it did not bother me at all as long as it was still an Ohio University mask. And for this order I went ahead an ordered two just in case I carelessly lose one again. Though I did hold on to the first one for 9 months straight. Pretty good I think. My masks just arrived yesterday and I love the fabric even more. As oppose to white before, this time the main color is green with the Attack Cat. They are perfect. Such a great fit for my face. This is a great little quilt shop right on Main Street across from the river. Plenty of nearby…read moreparking (meters) but cheap! The staff is helpful, friendly and know their stuff. Had lots of samples for quilts, needlework and other types of projects. Fabrics are displayed so you can easily see what they have. All the latest lines! Definitely worth the stop even if you are traveling on I-77!

She stocks a variety of inventory and she has her shop arranged in a very cute way. I docked one star because there is a lack of solids in the store, which is mostly what I need. I have shopped this JoAnn Fabric Store located in Parkersburg, WV for many years and I've spent a…read moreconsiderable amount of money in this store over the years. That is, until Sunday, October 30, 2022. I stopped in this location to purchase some flannel fabric and lace that I needed to make a few ponchos and flannel scarves. I had checked pricing on my mobile app before making the trip to the store, however, when I arrived at the store, there were no signs posted reflecting the sale prices. After I made my selections, I took them to the cutting counter to cut and to inquire as to the current pricing. All of the fabric was coming up considerably higher than the prices I had found on their website. I knew they advertised they would price match any competitor so I asked if they would price match their own website. After the clerk checked with the manager, I was told it would not be a problem. After my fabric was cut, the manager came over to verify and/or enter the correct matched pricing on my order. She then informed me that she would not approve the price that was posted on their website because if I had purchased these items on JoAnn's website, I would have found the pricing was more if I had clicked on the item to purchase. I told the manager that I did not feel that was right, and, in fact, I think is a form of "bait and switch." She advised me three or four times within a 2-3 minute period that "if I didn't like it, that I could walk!" What kind of Manager, in front of one brand new employee and one relatively new employee, not to mention other customers, talks to a good customer with such disrespect? I have not been back in this store since this incident. I did receive a form letter from JoAnn Fabric (corporate) stating they would handle the situation. Upon receipt of this form letter, I again requested that a member of their management team call me. It's been more than 90 Days, still no phone call. I will no longer support this business.
