The staff here is wonderful and always ready to help and recommend things. If you're like me, there's days I want what I know and have tried and other days that I'm open to trying something new and different. This last time I did just that. Picked one of my usuals and then tried one that was recommended to me. Love small, quaint, places like these where you can chat a little (or not) and just come in real quick and get what you need. It's not a huuuuge store but it's also deceiving. A lot bigger than you'd think! Wide selection of spirits. Plenty of wines. Also a fridge selection for some ready to go items. Plenty of parking. Located inside a little (ex) shopping plaza. Overall great spot to come to. Walking distance from all the main things in Pawling.

This has been the ONLY liquor store that I use since my first visit. Ralph, the owner is a very…read morenice guy. I visited one day, and he didn't carry what I was looking for. He then asked "would you like me to get it?" The item was there next time I stopped in, and considerably less expensive than I was used to paying. I'm a big vodka guy, and every single vodka Ralph has recommended has become on that I buy regularly. All of the staff are very friendly, and I make it a point to hang out and talk if it's not busy. Unlike many stores, Ralph knows all of the products intimately. Not just wine like most places. Along with all f his vodka recommendations, he knows the grain the vodka is distilled from, and can compare the taste to other popular brands, too. All of the above applies to bourbons that he's recommended. I'm not a huge wine enthusiast, but the few I've tried based upon his recommendations have been exactly what he described.

Came here recently and this time I had to grab a few more things than the usual. I usually go to a much larger location with a LOT more variety where I do my "stock up" trips to. Instead of going there, decided to stop in here. It was so nice to be able to browse the store without feeling 50 eyes on you or the pressure of feeling like you can't just look around without getting overly asked if you need help. Huge pet peeve, lol! This place isn't like that! Happened to be at Pink Sugar Pastries fueling my soul and decided to check these guys out. I've head amazing things about this liquor store and the annual tastings that everyone raves about so I was super curious. From the outside, you'd neeeeeever be able to tell the huge variety and selection that they have in there. I'm like is it me or does everything feel like it's continuously on sale? There are specials literally all over. Even what isn't on sale is already a little lower than most places. They don't raise the prices to then make it seem like you got a deal lol, I've seen that at a few spots. Really nice workers, friendly, willing to help but also willing to let you do your thing and just browse. There is no reason any beverage retailer should still have pumpkin beers on the shelf in March. Spent $25 on a 4-pack and a 22 oz. bottle of beers from the appropriate season to get home and realize that they were from the appropriate season A YEAR AGO. I guess unless you want an 18 of Budlight you ought to look elsewhere. I'll be sure to shop somewhere else.
