This truck has visited my office building a few times and I've had hotdogs for lunch from them. Nothing spectacular but it's a nice change from our usual lunches, which is appreciated since our regular breakfast/lunch spot has moved out of the building. Ive tried their Chicago dog and cup of chili. Again, not spectacular, but decent. I've had their purist dogs as we and those definitely didn't hit as good as the one with the toppings. I haven't tried them again but I'm sure they have other menu items that are pretty good because they always have a ton of the building staff waiting onines to get their food. read more

We had the Road Grub Mobile for my daughter's graduation for about 60 people. When our daughter requested Philly like cheesesteaks (as we are from Philly area), we were apprehensive that a NY-based food truck could deliver a good cheesesteak. However, they definitely delivered! Even our Philly area-based family enjoyed the cheesesteaks! The burgers, hot dogs, Tator tots, mac and cheese were DELICIOUS! People also got seconds to take home. Very good & happy that they have gluten free options! The tater tots are gluten free and delicious. They also had gluten free hamburger buns, which were really fluffy and fresh. As someone who also prefers to avoid dairy, I got a hamburger with lettuce and tomato on a gf bun & put my own df cheese on it. Would definitely get again! read more

This past October, I went to the Sleepy Hollow block party in Sleepy Hollow, NY and it was the opposite of sleepy! While I was there, I had the pleasure of eating the mac daddy hot dog and cheese tots from Road Grub Mobile. Have passed this food truck so many times and have finally stopped for lunch. SO GOOD! I got the Irish Flu burger and my sister got the Fun Guy burger. We also got an order of plain tots and chili. All of it was so delicious! The gentleman who took our order delivered the food to us as we were eating at one of the picnic tables set up right outside their truck. The burgers were cooked perfectly, the tots were nice and crispy and tasted so good that I didn't feel it needed to be eaten with ketchup (which is what I usually do), and the chili was tasty. Oh wow delicious. I got the Liberty philly cheese, traditional wit onions and Wiz! Fantastic food. Nice guy too! He has burgers dogs and philly cheese. Mac and cheese and tots. Toppings are bacon , cheese, chili. All of the above. Lots of combinations. Next time I have to try the Mac and cheese with Gorgonzola and bacon. Truck is same side of street as Souvlaki truck. This was the second time this crew came through for me... this time I had a vendor not show up and I called them with only a few hours notice. I like this place. My mother and I were out getting some supplies until this food truck caught out eye, so we decided to stop there for lunch. I got the Empire Burger, it was delicious. My mother just got regular hot dogs. One with chili, one with onions. She thought they didn't have much flavor, but they were good. We even thought the hot dogs were from Boar's Head, too. What a terrific find! My daughter had used them for our grandson's Bar Mitzvah. Yesterday, we ran an event around them for a 55+ Community and there were 85 in attendance. Quite frankly, I was very concerned that the food wouldn't get out fast enough to take care of everyone... leading to lots of criticism. Road Grub was amazing! I'm giving them five stars. But only because I can't give them six! Their "dirty bird" chicken sandwich is really stuffed, and oozing with delicious sauces. Extremely tasty, and very filling. My wife got two meals out of hers. I got only one (a normal person might get three). But a real treat here is their Philly cheese steak...which might be better than you get in Sylvester Stallone's favorite neighborhood. The secret is the bread, because, sorry, Philly...you might have invented the cheese steak, but New York has better bread than you do. And the testing is in the tasting. The guys who run the truck are friendly, eager to please, and accommodate your orders. Stop by if you see their truck, or call them if you don't. We recently used Grub Mobile for a 150 person 1st birthday party and my guests all commented on how great the food was and what a good idea it was to get a food truck. We didn't have to deal with any of the setup or clean up, it was amazing! The owner Alix was a pleasure to deal with. I contacted him with all kinds of questions about kids with food allergies and he was able to accommodate our needs so that all of our guests would have something to eat. My main concern was that there would be a huge line but he assured me that the line would keep moving and it really did. I hosted 30 people for a surprise Birthday party for my son and this truck was a HUGE success! Alex and Alix (and the woman who was there...I feel bad I can't remember her name) could not have been nicer, and the food was great! I was going to BBQ myself for the 30 guests and this was SO much better! We had the Road Grub Mobile come to our 150th Anniversary event for Oakland Cemetery. Sounds like an odd Event but it was terrific. We had What helped make it terrific was The Road Grub Mobile. They accomodated approximately 125 people. Everyone loved everything they had - the combinations of whatever you wanted were also terrific...but what is/was really best: the food is of highest quality...actually better than most dinners or restaurants.
