My new favorite wine and spirits go-to spot! I had come here a few times in the past just to grab a quick bottle of wine here and there. Came here recently and this time I had to grab a few more things than the usual. I usually go to a much larger location with a LOT more variety where I do my "stock up" trips to. Instead of going there, decided to stop in here. It was so nice to be able to browse the store without feeling 50 eyes on you or the pressure of feeling like you can't just look around without getting overly asked if you need help. Huge pet peeve, lol! This place isn't like that! After picking out a few bottles of wine and spirits, the owner was so kind to honor a 6 bottle discount since I mentioned that's what my usual store does. Just had a rude employee make up some bs law about having an out of state ID. The selection isn't the best, everything is overpriced. Nothing seems to be organized or put away. Don't recommend it. Go anywhere but here. read more

They did not initially have a sweet vermouth that I love. Andy (??) ordered it for me. I can buy it in Brewster but this place is closer. Only complaint is that the woman is rude & has an attitude. But she has helped me find wines I may want. I have noticed that she is NOT rude to other patrons...hmmm. Andy is NOT rude & appears to be cheerful to see me. I have used "their carts" in the store & was never told no carts, etc. I would have rated 5 stars if it wasn't for this woman's rudeness & attitude. read more

Walked in with a wagon (mind you, I have walked in with a wagon many times) and immediately the female behind the counter starts yelling at me saying "no wagons in the store" and to get out. Before I could say another word, she tells me to learn how to read. I advised her that she didn't need to be rude and she told me to get out. I left the store and returned without my wagon to speak with a Manager but turns out she is the Manager (Figures). I proceeded to let her know that she doesn't have to be rude to customers and once again she told me to leave. I said I will be writing a review on this incident, her reply was "Go Ahead". I will be making a complaint with the owner of this establishment. So this is me giving my review on this sites to tell my story of this incident. Been stopping here regularly on my way to watch fall foliage, so I figured this would be a great "welcome back" review, as it's been some time. I'm not at all knowledgeable about wine, so I definitely needed some help selecting the right wine. The staff here is not only knowledgeable, but extremely friendly and helpful. There's a ton of selections of wine, and prices are extremely low (but then again, I do usually buy my wine/spirits in Manhattan). It's also pretty cool that the staff has recognized me the times I've been back and make some amazing recommendations. This will definitely be my go-to place whenever I'm in the area. read more

Driving along Route 22 on my way up to see my extended family in Kent and made a pit stop at wineology. I was really glad that the store is really big and spotlessly clean cause I had to use the restroom which was clean as well. Anyways, more importantly, I looked around for some chianti and a lady came over to introduce herself. I was amazed by wide range of boutique producers they carried and passionate language which The staff described them. Check out was a breeze and staff even help me load cases onto my car. This place is HUGE!!! I've been spending lot of time in Brewster past few summers to getaway from hustle and bustle of NYC. Even though it's a 10-15 minute drive from my summer home I find myself shopping here because of the friendly service, overall selection and competitive prices. They also have tastings every Friday and Saturdays. Staff is indeed very friendly and knowledgable and their wine guy with a beard recommended excellent under $10 Vinho Verde that was such a hit at my summer BBQs. They recently had amazing specials on champagne which came in very handy during Labor Day weekend which they hand delivered to my home. They price match and on my last few visits their customer service has really improved - the staff literally carried my purchases and load it in my trunk. Now that's good service! read more

I heard about Wineology from relatives in Patterson who raved about it and was not disappointed at all. My first experience I called in to ask about getting a case of wine as a gift delivered to my friend. The person I spoke to on the phone was really friendly and recommended a good mix based on my preferences. She also offered 20% off and free delivery. Second time I walked in for a tasting and was quite impressed on how knowledgeable the staff was in regards to wine. Their prices are great in comparison to other wine shops I have visited and I believe they will even price match if you find it cheaper somewhere else. The location is also pretty convenient and located next to Hannafords supermarket so you do can do your food and booze shopping in the same trip! Highly recommended. read more

First off, What a nice store!! Doesn't look like it from the outside but the store is HUGE! What a selection! As a resident of Brewster I normally shop there but I have friends in Pawling and after stopping in here, its sure worth driving an extra 5 minutes. I was pleased to see the store was wheelchair accessible and easy to maneuver around being one of my relatives is handicapped. The staff is super friendly and helpful. I also attended one of their "tastings" I saw advertised on the sign outside and what a great experience. I was able to try several different wines I wouldn't normally be drawn to and I was glad I did because one of them is now my daily purchase. I didn't care for the other wines I tried but I'm glad I was able to try them at least before buying. read more

Business takes me up Route 22 three to four times a month, going as Far north as Dover Plains and I always stop by Wineology for a bottle of my favorite single malt scotch or a fine bourbon. I'm not much into wine but my wife is and their recommendations have been spot on every time. First time I walked into Wineology was out of desperation. My GPS wasn't working and I had no idea where I was headed (as I am a city dweller), I spotted Hannafords near by, but thought I would get better directions from the local Spirits merchant, plus I'm always curious to see what new single malt scotch or bourbon I can try for the first time. The staff was friendly and helpful and more than happy to point me in the right direction. The best part of being lost was discovering Aberlour - A'Bunadh, a delightful single malt scotch that has fast become one of my top 5 favorite single malts scotches. On my second visit one of the employees-Louis recommended Pappy Van Winkle a bourbon so highly desired production is having a hard time keeping up with demands. Despite that fact, the Pappy Van Winkle was priced reasonably. A clean, organized store, a friendly, knowledgable, sociable staff, and what I can only describe as serendipity have made driving 75+ miles for business a day I look forward to. read more
