I went to Dr. Flint at the recommendation of a friend. I wish I had done my research. My breast lift and augmentation was done in May of 2022. The surgery and results were average, at best. Her staff did very little pre-op guidance and minimal follow-up after the surgery. I felt like a bother when contacting them. (Although, they were very happy to take my money at the time of service.) I had horrible scarring that resulted in scar tissue in one of my breasts, making it larger than the other one. I've also lost feeling in my nipples, which is horrible on so many levels. When I went back to Dr. Flint with my problems, she was dismissive, claiming 'normal' results. When I asked about the scarring (white lines around my nipples), she said that it could take up to 5 years to disappear, if ever. The original claim was 1 year. Her bedside manner is horrible. I attributed it to being a surgeon with high intelligence and less social skills. I was ok with that - until she so rudely dismissed my concerns. Instead of taking responsibility for her actions, she glibly said that we could do another surgery to remove the scar tissue. At my follow up appointment, she was more interested in selling me Botox and expensive face creams than really listening to my concerns about my surgery. It was incredibly disheartening. I've waited this long to write a review because I was hoping for some progress with my scarring and feeling in my nipples. There's been very little progress. Although I'm happy my breasts are lifted, I feel self conscious about the scarring and breast size difference. It's a lot of money and effort to spend on nominal results. I cannot say enough wonderful things about Dr. Flint and her entire team. From the very first consultation, I knew I was in the right hands. She has such a calm, reassuring presence and never once made me feel pressured, upsold, or insecure. She was completely honest about what I did and didn't need, which immediately put me at ease. Firstly, I want to say I enjoyed Dr. Patti Flint. My rating is a result of her support staff. I did have rippling from my breast augmentation surgery, but my research stated that is not at fault of the surgeon (most of the time). The support staff was extremely disappointing. After spending over $17,000 for surgery, the main support staff member kept calling my Kathleen (my name is Catherine), even after consistently correcting her. Multiple times they didn't have my information correct, twice I showed up and my appointment was double booked with another patient (this is all follow up apts, thus after paying)...I recently thought of getting a facelift through Dr. Flint. I asked to schedule an appointment but after talking to Dr. Flints staff, Kristi stated she would get back to me after talking to Dr. Flint for more information in regard to some specific questions. I will admit, our conversation seemed pretty rushed once I stated my price range. In the end, I never heard anything back. Three weeks later, Kristi sent me a text message and asked to confirm my appointment; however we never set an appointment. When stated she never followed up/called/emailed, she stated their email system was down... no apology for the lack of follow up, nor clarified why a follow up phone call wasn't an option. Since she never returned my questions, and I was on a tight schedule, I let her know I had to go with another surgeon. Kristi just texted "thanks for letting us know". Again, no acknowledgment for the lack of communication. So, in the end, if you want to go with Dr. flint, just know, it feels that unless you're a 'high roller' client, you will be treated as such. I had a breast reduction with Dr. Flint four years ago and I was immediately unhappy with my results. I mentioned how unhappy I was at every single follow-up appointment, but was gaslit out of my feelings. It is only within the past year that I've gotten around to doing revision consults with other surgeons -- all of whom were shocked at my results. Several of them made comments asking if my surgeon was new, if this was their first day, if this was their first time doing this procedure, if they just "winged it" without taking any measurements, etc. I've now had multiple other surgeons offer to do my revision for free because of how poorly my procedure was done the first time! I trusted Dr. Flint with my self-esteem, my health, and my life. I repeatedly voiced my concerns to her, and in response, I was horribly mistreated. Dr. Flint insisted that I had unrealistic expectations, that I was being difficult, and that the very obvious mistakes I was seeing were not actually there. She even went so far as to complain about me to the nurses in the hallway right outside of my room. Dr. Flint watched me cry during my follow-up appointments as I expressed how disappointed and mutilated I felt...and she had no empathy for me. She has taken absolutely no responsibility for her mistakes, nor has she made any effort to amend them. Dr. Flint was dismissive, arrogant, cold, and just mean to me from the moment I met her to our last appointment where I left crying and decided to never come back. I thought I could handle her horrible bedside manner because she seemed like a competent surgeon. But I never would've imagined I would end up like this, and dealing with Dr. Flint's contempt whilst experiencing the emotional devastation of a botched procedure made everything much, much worse. I would have more grace for her if she had met me with empathy instead of cruelty. I would not recommend Dr. Flint to anyone. If you're looking for a surgeon, I would strongly suggest looking elsewhere. I don't think Dr. Flint deserved the trust I gave her, and I certainly don't think she deserves your trust. I'm not one to leave reviews, but after receiving confirmation from multiple other surgeons that my results were not just bad--but shockingly bad--it felt too important not to. My review is based on my last experience in October 2020. I went to Dr. Flint for Botox. She recommended to do fillers around my mouth and Botox on the left side of my chin. Since she is a know plastic surgeon I trusted her and agreed. My left side became droopy and it looks like I had a stroke. It looks like I am constantly sad. Plus my chin became square . It is embarrassing! Thank God for masks. I went back to correct it and she said that she can do the same to my right side, or I can wait until Botox wears out after 6 weeks. I decided to wait. It is end of January now. I look hideous. I spent $1500.00 to look my worst! What a joke. She is not there to make you look your best but charge you for something you don't need. Dr. Flint is at best an average plastic surgeon. I tried to post this on google reviews but for some reason it would not post. I will make another attempt here. After my breast augmentation surgery, my breasts were at different heights on my chest. One was much higher than the other. The nipples were different sizes, shapes, uneven and she left a lot of nipple tissue in a linear fashion on one of my breasts. I was very displeased. When I shared my concerns with her, she got extremely defensive to the point of rudeness. She is correct she did make the breasts larger (as they had lost volume due to previous weight loss), but they were anything but "normal" looking after the procedure. I decided foolishly on a revision surgery, yes throwing good money after bad. She did slightly improve them, but they are still difficult to look at and I am embarrassed by them. I think her peers highly overrate her abilities as they are not the ones who have to look at her "work" in the mirror everyday. I think if she had been more forthcoming about potential disappointing results instead of it being found in a mound of paperwork, I would have reconsidered her altogether. She is not going to showcase cases like mine, but my breasts were uniform going in, and not so after coming out. My hope is that other patients will see this and honestly the fact that she is board certified makes me scratch my head even more so. Good luck and my advice to patients searching for a breast augmentation is to move on to the next surgeon. P.S. I had a breast reduction August 2021. Needless to say, I noticed some issues after about 5 months. I decided to wait a year, like is suggested, before returning to the office. Needless to say, she did see me several times without charging me as I voiced my concerns. Honestly, I was told so many stories, of which none added up. I kept returning in hopes she would do the right thing and fix the issues. Double talk, I received different stories from many in the office including the doctor but no acknowledging the issues and correcting them. I was quoted more money each time with additional procedures, I only wanted the problems fixed. I understand I would have to pay something, but not the entire amount again, oh with a 20% discount, although more procedures were added to the one I only wanted fixed. Disappointed. I have since went to another doctor and they informed me that according to my records, there was no issues with blood flow, so my breasts could have been smaller like I originally wanted. Further, the new doctor confirmed another complaint, one breast is significantly larger than the other and the nipples are uneven. Here I am, going to pay a new doctor to fix the problems of the original doctor. Having said this, my biggest issues is all the double talk, I just wanted honesty, acknowledgement, and for the issues to be rectified, I for sure did not get that. How disappointing, even more than the additional money, I now have to pay for the mistakes. Here is my advice, make sure you ask if this office has a policy, for example, if things do not go well, how do they rectify the situation. I went to Dr. Flint 3 years ago for a breast lift. They suggested a small implant to give my breast some fullness because sometimes with just a lift after a year or 2 the breast might look a little deflated. I opted for the implants which now I wish I never did! I was not told of any complications from implants. I was told the new Silicone ones I was getting were safe. Even if they crack they will not leak. My breast looked fine, but now I am having some pain and a small lump in the left breast and my right breast is smaller which can indicate a leak. I went for a sonogram 2 times and then decided to go to Ironwood cancer center for a consult just to make sure everything was OK. The DR there suggested an MRI. She informed me that an MRI should be done after 3 years of an implant and then every 2 years after. I called Flints office and was told Dr, Flint suggest an MRI after 10 year!!! I went on the website for the implants that I have, Here is what it says. What should I know before getting breast implants? Breast implants are not lifetime devices, and not necessarily a one-time surgery. Many of the changes to your breasts following implantation cannot be undone. If you later choose to have your implant(s) removed and not replaced, you may experience unacceptable dimpling, puckering, wrinkling, or other cosmetic changes of the breast, which may be permanent. Breast implants may affect your ability to breast-feed, either by reducing or eliminating milk production. Rupture of a silicone-filled breast implant is most often silent and may not be detected by you or your doctor. You should have an MRI 3 years after your surgery and then every 2 years after that for as long as you have your breast implants to determine if rupture is present. If implant rupture is noted on an MRI, you should have the implant removed, with or without replacement. With breast implants, a routine screening mammography and self-examinations for breast cancer will be more difficult. Ask your doctor to help you distinguish the implant from your breast tissue. Symptoms of a ruptured implant may be hard knots or lumps surrounding the implant or in the armpit, change or loss of size or shape of the breast or implant, pain, tingling, swelling, numbness, burning, or hardening. Tell your doctor of these symptoms and remove ruptured implants. Inform any other doctor who treats you of the presence of your implants to minimize the risk of damage to the implants. This should be fully explained at your consult. I am looking into getting my implants removed but not by Flint. I highly recommend Dr. Flint. My surgery was in December of 2010; I had breast reduction and LOVE my results!! Dr. Flint is a very skilled surgeon - the proof is in the "after" results. My wife had her first set of implants put in at a young age and they were way too big for her frame.  It got to the point where it was time to get them redone, not only for the shear age of them but also for a size that would be more appropriate for her frame. We saw 3-5 doctors in 2015 that were all highly recommended around town.  For me, I wasn't that impressed with any of them.  But i thought maybe it was just me being a guy.  They all seemed to have their own agenda, even though we were very clear in what my wife was wanting for a result.  But we chose one that we thought would do the best out of those we met with. The implant exchange and lift with the other surgeon was surprisingly awful. The doctor recommended doing a secondary surgery to "fix" what he did wrong the first time. We thought it sounded fair, since it was clear our goals were not met.  It was now 2016 and a bad idea, as my wife came out even worse.  The doctor offered to go in again and do some more work, but we put an end to it. At this point we decided to seek out another opinion, specifically from a woman's perspective, on what to do next.  We scheduled a consultation with Dr. Flint who we had heard was an exceptional surgeon.  Dr. Flint was not only was more professional and more knowledgeable than any of the other doctors that we met with in 2015, but she was able to provide us options to fix my wife's breasts that were never given by the other doctors. She was extremely confident in being able to achieve the results my wife was seeking. We trusted her and we knew after speaking with her she would be able to give my wife what she had always asked for and never received. I went to Dr Flint for a lip lift, which, she calls an in office procedure. I was lead to believe it is a very simple surgery. I had the surgery in Jan and I would never suggest for anyone to do this in office procedure. It needs to be done in a surgical facility. It is the middle of March and I am still suffering pain and redness, it has not healed. My stitches are uneven and noticeable. Dr Flints office has only seen me one time for my complaints and issues. Patti Flint did a facelift on my wife in June of 2013. We picked her due to being a woman and being listed as a Top Doc in the Phoenix Magazine. As it turns out these are not good criteria for picking a plastic surgeon. Patti's demeanor is cold and distant. We initially took that as simply conveying a professional air. But it turns out she really is cold and distant. My wife's pain following the surgery continued long after it should have normally gone away. It even increased. Patti's initial response was to assure us the pain would be gone in no longer than three months. When three months was past she suggested various massage techniques. When this failed to give any relief she then said it shouldn't take more than two years (the time limit on filing a liability suit - coincidence?). She also implied the problem may be psychological. Upon reviewing my wife's records that Patti provided (we needed them for other doctors to review), we found the records "doctored" to state that my wife had complained of neck pain prior to the surgery. This is not true. In addition to the above she made an unnecessary incision during the surgery and told us she had done a revision on an old scar - there was no old scar to revise. It continues to baffle us why she did this. We have spent hundreds of dollars visiting others plastic surgeons, pain specialists, neurologist etc. to try to find a solution to her continued debilitating pain. Suggestions we have received are that perhaps the problem is caused by the non-dissolvable stiches Patti used. One doctor offered to remove the stitches as they may be in contact with nerves thus causing pain. The doctor told us he never uses permanent stiches for this very reason. My wife has been prescribed Gabapentin by a Neurologist, which seems to be relieving the pain a bit, yet now she has to deal with other side effects. I previously posted this on Yelp. It was removed by Yelp the same day Patti sent an email to my wife seeking information on her recovery. She mentioned in her email that she had read her review. What? I searched out many doctors here and in CA to correct my heavy & oversized breast. After visiting with four other surgeons here in AZ, I was referred to Dr Flint by a friend who knew I wanted the best outcome. Yes, she did charge for the consultation but so did three of the other four. Her time is just as valuable as anyone's and she spent WELL over an hour with me and I didn't feel rushed or dumb for my list of questions. I asked each of the other surgeons all the same lengthy questions and she was the only one that didn't seem annoyed by them and even welcomes me to email her directly should more arise after our consultation-which I did! Even after requesting to meet with her again as I had questions that I needed visual reassurance she happily met with me (no charge) and that sealed the deal that she was the surgeon for me! I choose Dr Flint because she is clear, helpful and although direct she was honest about what she felt I needed and what she felt could be done. Who doesn't want honest, direct & helpfulness especially in a surgeon?! Well before surgery Dr Flint clearly explained what she was going to do, the process of healing and recovery as well as visual idea of what my results would be like and when the day came she caringly reiterated the same. (Note: The surgery center was absolutely amazing!) The tears welled up in my eyes when I first saw myself after the surgery because my breast were beautiful! Her work was truly amazing and completely congruent with what she had explained. I feel like she is an artist because they not only fit my frame they are beautifully natural. I followed all of Dr Flint's recovery instructions and healing went amazingly smoothly. Fast forward 10 months and due to my own skin's healing process she revised my scars for almost nothing and even suggested an amazing treatment to prevent a reoccurrence of the scarring. She was right on again with this new treatment and again I'm overjoyed with the scar revision. I suggest any patient do their research with any doctor and for any procedure as you must be an active participant in the doctor/patient relationship as well as have "realistic expectations". With that being said all doctors can have patients that are not always happy with their results for a multitude of reasons but and in all fairness I think those patients owe it to themselves to give their doctor a chance to work out the issues with both parties being clear & honest about the issues before bashing the doctor in these forums especially since the negative often outshines the good. Very poor experience with this doctor. My last review was removed because of a lawsuit going on at the time. I had a tummy tuck and Lipo from Flint. Very jagged scar, which I can live with, but it was also puckered at the hip. In addition she left fat flaps above the incision line. Even though I am now very thin due to illness (unrelated) the fat and skin still sits unevenly above my suture line. In addition she removed "fat" from my lower inner thighs instead of my upper. It left my with streaking, scarring, and completely unbalanced looking thighs. Yes, all was brought to her attention. She brushes things off, made promises to fix, never did. Bedside manner is snobbish & arrogant. Would never go back. 2 stars only for a decent tummy tuck, (no separating) although not aesthetically finished on above flanks. Patti--I would WELCOME a consult with you. As far as mentioning lawsuits, back in 2014 I was contacted about one against you. It is not "slanderous". I have been to other plastic surgeons offices to have some treatments performed about every 6 months. My previous doctor and I pretty much had a plan for what I needed, to get the look I wanted, which included some laser procedures that I was always holding off on because lasers are not the best for all skin types which scared me a little. I primarily get some injectables and went to Dr. Flints office after a friend referred me when I wanted to get treatment before summer travels. I was very impressed with the staff and equally impressed with Dr. Flint, who actually pointed out that I didn't necessarily need laser treatment. Instead I started a skin care regimen that she recommends and after a week or so I can tell that it's starting to address the issues I was concerned about. I am very happy with my skin and my results. I am also happy about the new prospective I have on how to keep looking my best. I will be back! read more

I chose Dr. Flint for my breast augmentation and couldn't be happier! I came to Scottsdale for the surgery from San Francisco and the office and nurses were super responsive and easy to communicate with from out of town. I was so impressed with Dr. Flint's before/afters on her website and thorough literature/interviews on her methodologies, that i actually had my first in-person consult and size selection two days before my surgery!! I was satisfied with my natural size (DD), but sought implants because i felt reliant on a bra and wanted more volume/natural boost without a bra. It was very important that I kept a natural look that fit my frame and allowed me to maintain my active lifestyle. I wasn't sure if I should get a lift and/or implant and Dr. Flint was very honest and informative on what could be achieved with the various procedures. Another surgeon said I needed a lift (which ideally I wanted to avoid) and implant and I'm SO happy that Dr. Flint said we could achieve what I wanted with only an augmentation. (Initially via emailed pre photos and then with an in-person size discussion). I was confident that Dr. Flint was going to give me what _I_ wanted, not like other surgeons that will give you their form of beauty. Never did get to meet her. Of all the cosmetic surgeons I contacted here in Scottsdale, her office staff were the most condescending, rude and uncaring people I have encountered in a long time. When I questioned the excessive "consultation fee" or tried to explain any financial considerations I might have, I was dismissed with an attitude of disdain. Dr. Flint did not make proper preoperative markings and basically winged my surgery. Patti Flint, M.D. did an anchor lift on me despite my asking three times if she did a lollipop/vertical lift which would have left a much smaller scar. Instead of telling me the truth that she did not perform this procedure at the time and she told me that I had too much skin. . My areola/nipple ended up 1.5 inches too high which was very noticeable even in clothing and bras (which my new "breast" would fall out of). Dr. Flint didn't even try to measure my nipple at my postop appointment months later when I brought up that my nipple was popping out of my bras and tops.Talk about dishonesty, she altered my 2007 records to try to cover up her mistakes made in the 2011 surgery. Since then I have had 2 painful reconstructive surgeries with William Leighton M.D. ; including a breast expander under my muscle and another revision/reconstruction. This doctor actually repeated Patti Flint's mistake and my breast is now disfigured even further. I am a single mom and I recently quit my job due to stress related to Dr. Flint's mistakes. I pleaded with her to pay for the reconstructive surgeries to no avail, which totaled over $12,000. Additionally Patti Flint has had several malpractice lawsuits filed against her. Of course Dr. Flint is going to tell you she would never alter records, message me I'll give you proof she did it. It takes a lot for an attorney to proceed with a malpractice case and she has 2 filed against her. Just imagine the countless cases who didn't make it to court because it's not profitable enough for attorneys. Do yourself a favor and choose a more caring, qualified, and experienced surgeon. I had breast augmentation and lipo a few days before Christmas 2013 and I am quite happy with the results. There is really no scarring and there are no lumps where the lipo was performed. I found her and her staff very friendly and professional. She was very upfront about the procedure, offered suggestions but ultimately left the decisions up to me. I had an awful experience with plastic surgeon Patti Flint and her aesthetician Angella. Patti and her aesthetician claim to remove tattoos with their micro needling machine. This is not the case!! This is a complete waste of your time and money!! It costs $200 per treatment. Typically you need around 3 treatments waiting a period of 3-4 weeks in between. I had 3 treatments and there is ABSOLUTELY NO difference. Also, your skin is red and irritated, and it peels continuously for the few weeks in between treatments. This procedure does NOT work!!! DON'T WASTE YOUR MONEY LIKE I DID! Patti Flint is an awful plastic surgeon to charge hundreds of dollars to her patients and not deliver them any sort of improvement. Just take their money and say we can guarantee our work. Patti has made several of the same comments to her several poor yelp reviews. If you read her comments she says: Sorry to hear you had an unpleasant experience. Or sorry to hear your experience did not exceed your expectations. Or I'm deeply disappointed if you had a bad experience with us. It makes me sad. NO IT DOESN'T. She does not give a crap!!! She just takes your money and says I'm sorry you did not like our work! I had a great experience with Dr. Flint. I was looking for a plastic surgeon who had extensive medical training and experience. I did my homework, scheduled several consultations with different doctors and chose Dr. Flint. Her direct, tell you like it is communication style allowed me to understand the procedures I was looking for and to get a very realistic view of what to expect. Dr Flint was incredible. I had a primary breast augmentation and liposuction of my outer thighs. I couldn't be happier. Dr Flint and her office staff were very professional. The new office and surgery center felt like walking into a hotel. The staff was warm and knowledgeable. They answered every little question I had and called to check on me regularly. Dr Flint made me feel so comfortable. Her female perspective was very important to me. I didn't want to be too big or look fat with implants. I had no doubt going into surgery that they would look just as I wanted. She was very professional yet also personable and kind. Her surgical skills are renown in Scottsdale and she didn't disappoint. I have many friends that are patients of hers and I tell all the others to go to Dr Flint. At my post op appt I also received Botox injections in my forehead and around my eyes and a small amount of Juvaderm in my lips. I am thrilled with the results. I look so much younger without looking 'done'. She is very careful to be sure I don't look fake or plastic. I will continue to be a patient of Dr Flint for Botox and filler in the years to come. I was impressed with Dr Flint's credentials and even more impressed with the time she took to understand my lifestyle and general health, and help me decide whether removal or replacement was the best option.
