Today was my son's first day of kindergarten and he didn't miss a beat... he was confident, outgoing, able to clearly write his name, recognize some easy words, and even get to the bathroom down the hall with no problems. I can't say enough nice things about this preschool. The staff are so warm, caring, and professional. Once you walk in, you're welcomed by Ms. Sandy and Ms. Megan who are so helpful and kind. My daughter absolutely loved them (she also told the teachers she loved them!) I was so impressed how much my daughter learned and developed while there; she really came out of her shell! I had two children attend Patti's Preschool and I am so grateful this was their first introduction to school. All of the staff were so friendly and accommodating with all our questions and/or needs. I feel their "Stepping Up" program is so beneficial for those children getting ready to attend Kindergarten. I had a child who just missed the age cutoff for Kindergarten and therefore needed to stay in preschool an additional year. After a year of the "Stepping Up" program I know she is more than ready for Kindergarten. She has more than enough skills to succeed for her upcoming year. Both Ms. Patti and the Stepping Up teacher Ms. Jennifer took time out of their day to discuss my daughter's progress throughout the year. The front desk staff Ms. Megan and Ms. Sandy were always so welcoming and friendly everyday and promptly responded to my questions or needs - questions about scheduling, holidays and paperwork needed for transferring schools, etc. I never had to wait a few minutes for a response - they are on top of everything! My youngest daughter started at 2.5yrs old at Patti's and because she was so young, she would cry at dropoff. Her crying lasted a little more than a month. But everyday at dropoff her teacher Ms. Shondra was so sweet and understanding. She would personally help occupy her to help smooth the transition of being away from Mom and Dad. She never gave up and before you knew it my daughter loved going to class and would talk about it and her classmates at home! I really like their use of Class Dojo which gives daily updates about your child's day in class. Ms. Shondra, Ms. Catherine, Ms. Lauren and Ms. Jennifer all give such detailed accounts of the day. The class Dojo photos are great! We had especially great interactions and school years with these teachers! Ms. Jennifer was so invested in my children and would give updates at pick up and drop off almost daily! From the bottom of my heart I really appreciate everything Patti's Preschool has done for my children. I have absolutely loved everything about Patti's Preschool. From the first time that we walked in until now (almost 2.5 years later), we have had nothing but positive interactions with all staff members. The front office staff and the director have been welcoming, helpful, and responsive. The teachers clearly love their jobs and the children as they are constantly positive and engaged in interactions with their students. This past year has been rough, but Patti and her staff have proven that safe protocols and a willingness to be flexible will allow for a bit of normalcy in a child's life. I am so impressed with the way Patti and her staff responded to COVID and its challenges. Furthermore, the way that the parents came together to support and help out the school and its staff says A LOT about how important this school is to its patrons. As my daughter is transitioning to kindergarten in the fall, I love how much attention had been given to help with that transition. The year-long Pre-K program is in synch with the local school district's standards, and the past few weeks have been centered around making the students aware of which of their classmates will be attending their next school with them. These are invaluable actions that will help with the changes coming in the fall--both academically and socially. I could not have wished for a better school. My only regret? Patti's is AWESOME! Our 3 year old son, Jax, started there last year and loves it. Everyone is very kind, the school is extremely well ran, and you can clearly see, that these people LOVE what they do! When we first started looking for schools for Jax, we quickly realized that not all preschools are alike. We checked out 2 other schools before selecting Patti's. The first school was cheaper, but the 'Teacher' looked like she hadn't showered in a week (and smelled like it too), and the 'play area' for the kids was filthy. Next stop was another school that was better than the first and we considered it a possibility. Lastly, we checked out Patti's, and it was love at first sight. It is no wonder the classes fill up so quick. You can tell right away that the school is extremely clean, safe, well organized. The Teachers are extremely passionate, patient, and truly want their students to succeed. Every day when we drop Jax off, we are greeted by our first names with warm smiles. Took a tour of this preschool for my three year old and the tour started off great but when I got to the actual room, the room was filthy. Where the kids keep their stuff, it was covered in dust. I didn't get a chance to really look at the bathrooms but if the rooms are that bad i can't imagine the rest. But to be honest I've heard so many good reviews about Patti's but in reality I just saw a dirty classroom I don't think this place is very sanitary for my kid. Pattis is HANDS DOWN the greatest preschool. My little started at 2.5 and just now graduated from the TK program and is getting ready to start Kinder. We were strictly SAH with mom up until starting at Pattis and the teachers (and Patti) made the transition SO easy. The teachers care for your baby as if they were their own and thats what we all want, right? The facility is always clean and they implement great hand hygiene for the kids throughout the day. Patti's preschool is an amazing place! There's so much thought and concern that Patti and her staff pour into every aspect of the curriculum and the facility. I never have any worry about my child's safety, diet, playtime, and learning curriculum. Staff is well versed in dealing with all types of children. Moreover they use child psychology mind judo to capture my little one's attention (near impossible) to create learning experiences that are so fun. I am always proud to see and hear what activities they completed for the day. The kids are taught that their actions have consequences (good or bad). My older son was a bit of a wild child prior coming to Patti's, and had some really bad habits that had became normal to us and him. These habits went unnoticed by us, at his previous daycare, and at his first in home daycare. Patti really worked with us as a family in such a positive, constructive, and professional manner! Patti and staff suggested experts and tips to connect with him and focus him into becoming a much more compassionate child. Their program covers every aspect of my child's life: language and literature, social relationships, mathematics and science, health and safety, and the creative arts (music, art and movement). There is a balance between vigorous, stimulating activities and quiet, restful activities. They have a grassy play area (artificial grass=non muddy) and a sandy play area that encourages the children to run and play. They are always properly staffed. All the teachers seem to have taken a vested interest in the school and every child that comes through their door. Our two year old was very shy around other kids so we wanted to get her socialized a bit and decided to enroll her in Patti's preschool. We were able to get in immediately and we loved it! They were very kind and welcoming to my daughter as she got used to the transition and let me know how she was doing at the end of each day. Patti's has been our SAVING GRACE these past few years! I am beyond grateful we found such a phenomenal preschool, nothing less than a hidden gem! I started my son at Patti's when he was about 2.5 years old and he's 4.5 years old now. Two years going strong at Patti's and I literally don't have one negative thing to say. I know how stressful it is finding the right fit for your child. It's scary and overwhelming! I had heard positive experiences from friends with littles that attended Patti's, so we gave it a try. SO THANKFUL WE DID. 1) The front office (Megan & Alexa), and the Director Patti, are THE BEST. They are quick to respond, organized and efficient. They genuinely care for the children and families of the school. They answer calls and emails right away, I have never had an issue trying to get a hold of the school or an answer to something I had. 2) The teachers are just wonderful! They are patient, caring, have a great curriculum, and the most brilliant ideas to keep the littles engaged and learning. And most of all, keeping things fun! 3) The facility is CLEAN and well cared for. Sounds weird but the little bathrooms for the kiddos are pretty cute, all perfect for a toddler size. Wish I had this at home :) 4) During the pandemic, they have gone ABOVE AND BEYOND to ensure they are taking all of the proper measures to keep the staff and children safe and healthy. My son has not been sick ONE TIME in the past year. Not even a minor cold. My boys attended Patti's preschool for 2.5 years. We were so fortunate for them attend here. They got a great start preparing them for kindergarten. All of the staff and teachers are awesome! They experienced a mix of fun, play, learned how to get along with their peers, as well as academic learning. There were always exciting activities for them to do from art projects related to stories and books read, themed activities, such as Earth day, lots of fun toys in the classroom as well as on the playground. If you have a "stepford" child then YAA PATTIS PRESCHOOL. If you have a little boy that likes to play and run around outside for hours even after lunch when it's story time then forget it. My son went here when he was 3 for about 4 weeks. That's when Patti asked me to find a new school for my son. He wasn't listening. He wouldn't sit down acter lunch to listen to the story being read. He would just get up and walk outside and start playing. I was hurt but I looked for a new school and I have to say I was so happy Patti and her staff couldn't handle my son. I am giving it a one star for the following reason: my older son attended Pattie for about a year and a half and we were pleased with the teachers and activities during the day for kids. Up until one day when coming to pick up our boy much earlier than usual and when walking outside on the playground discovering him laying down lethargic and no one attending to him. All the teachers were standing in the other corner of playground talking. He was dehydrated with fever, but recovered after a day and home. My husband wrote a long letter to The owner with a formal complaint. She did realized that was an issue and not charged us for the entire week . I was hoping for things to be changing from that point . So, even after the occurrence we still were open to have our 2 nd son in for the same program. Well ... despite the promised : "siblings have a priority admission" all applications were ignored and all promised calls backs never happened. The question is why ? In the period of 3 years there was not a single open spot ? Or the complain about the legitimate issue was the reason? I know that in some places there is a "list of undesired clients " so assuming my family is on that list that would be the only reasonable explanation for it . I do have 3 friends who do have kids enrolled in to Pattis in the last 2 years during different times, non of them had any priority enrollment . So why am I writing this post ... I guess to vent and to let patrons of that place aware of how issues are treated in that place . In reply for the owners statement below, I would like to add that we never ask for any specifics on the schedule ;) we ask for any schedule that is available. Our son was ready to start school and was potty trained. I appreciate the generic reply , but would hope for a truthful answer. read more

I am updating my review to respond to owner's reply to my initial review. I am actually highly offended that the owner is blame shifting and completely making my point about how her and her staff tried to parent shame me and my husband. I was never called to the school because my child was "threatening the safety and well-being of his/her peers" and am offended that she would passive aggressively imply that. My child never touched another student in that school and has never been threatening or aggressive. He is very passive and shy. And as for the parental support "This decision is made when we are not getting parental support from home".......we meet with the owner 2 or 3 times and with one of the teachers once. We discussed what we could do at home to help support my son and the school. We were sent home story books to read to him which we did. We also discussed a behavior chart and incentive items to implement. The problem is the school non- willingness to be flexible with his needs. He would get in trouble for not sitting in the circle during circle time he preferred to sit in the back of the room away from the Kaos of circle time. He would get in trouble for taking his shoes off. He has sensory issues and couldn't stand sand being in his shoes. He had a lot of energy and it was difficult for him to sit for long periods. He needed to be able to get up and move around when his energy level was high but that was not allowed. Ultimately I was SPECIFICALLY told that he was being expelled because he said "Butt" at school and one of the other parents complained that her child picked up that word from my son and repeated it at home and that parents younger child picked up the word. That is what I was told was why my son could not return. There was no meeting to discuss the situation. One parent pointed the finger of blame to my child, the school took her side, and expelled my child. I don't double my son said "Butt" at school but I am 100% sure that my child was not the only one saying inappropriate words at school because my son picked up words at school I wasn't happy with but I parented that situation at home and made sure my son didn't repeat any words he picked up from other students that we didn't approve of at home instead of going to the school and forcing another student out. The step-ford click runs deep in this school. And as for the reply that in my review I did "indicate that my teachers have the positive traits and skills necessary to provide high quality care" Yes 2 out of the 4 teachers were good teachers in my opinion but that's only a 50% ratio and from my teaching from school 50% is an F. But the owners own words sums up my review "high quality care" the school is good care givers and if that is what you want then great. But that is all they are Care Givers not Educators. If you want really good expensive babysitting then yes go to Patti's read more

Pattis is an incredible preschool! We had our oldest two daughters in school and the teachers become part of the family. This has been such a blessing. Our child's PREVIOUS school just wasn't great. He cried being dropped off hated the thought of going. Security was no good at all, disorganized mess. We took him out and began searching. We put him in Patti's and now he literally today sobbed being picked up. Wants to stay longer, go more days. Talks about school at home. We couldn't have had our prayers answered in a better way. We are so grateful to this amazing way to begin our child's school career. The love or hate for school begins early. It isn't always the child. The child doesn't always need to just buck up and get used to it. Sometimes it's the school and it's not a good fit for everyone. Listen to your child and really hear them. She had three different teachers at Patti's and all of them were kind and considerate and really cared. We initially tried Le Petite Academy and it was not good! I absolutely recommend Patti's! I was one of her first students 30+ years ago and I have such fond memories of my time with Patti. I knew when I had kids they were definitely going there too! I went to this school about 9 years ago. We learned academic and artistic skills. All you have to do is go in there and look around to see that they're teaching the alphabet and creative art projects. This school completely started me off and I've kept a lot of friends that I went here with. They give the kids some time to be creative with things like magnetic toys that they can build a small castle out of. I just went back today to read and they read some of the stuff with me. The kids here also have great social skills. They struck up a conversation with me after I was done reading and they have great manners for kids their age. They say please, thank you, and excuse me which I know seems simple but I have friends with brothers and sisters who are older than they are and they don't speak with manners like these kids do. I have a friend whose kids go here and they absolutely love it. When we tried to enroll my 2.5 yr old son they had us come a couple of times has a trial run. The first time there he joined the group relatively quickly however he did not try to use the restroom. Since they could not confirm his potty training they asked us to come again so they could check and then we would be good to go. With the reassurance, I gave my son's existing daycare 2 week notice and scheduled another time to go to Patti's. Unfortunately the second time we went (3days before he would start) my son was crying after separating and did not want to join the other kids. Because of his crying, Patti said he isn't ready to join their school and would not be admitted at that time. I had to frantically call his daycare back and hope/pray he didn't lose his spot. Can you tell me what 2 year old doesn't cry? Either way, I took time off work 2 days and it was all for nothing. Patti's Preschool is THE best. After 3+ years for two kids, we leave Patti's with a heavy heart. Our children received top notch education, love, support, and friendships that will last their lifetimes. Patti's Preschool is the best. Other reviews on here will tell you how caring and warm all the teachers are; my experience has been no different. My focus in this review will be the pre-K that launched this year after a shuffle of staff among classrooms. This pre-K is AMAZING. The teachers take interest in each child, and each child is cheerfully and kindly greeted every single day. My son entered this class knowing how to write his first name and nothing more. Within 5 months, he knew most the alphabet and they already had them singing to 100. (As a comparison, kinder goals include counting to 35 by the end of kindergarten). Even though my son isn't the most social kid, he looks forward to school every day. Each day includes having the kids writing letters, words, numbers and doing "math". While I know this may sound aggressive to some, they somehow make it fun and interesting (example: bowling as a subtraction math lesson). The biggest benefit I see coming from this program is that it makes the transition into kindergarten far easier. (Really, anything that makes a transition easier for a child makes it easier for the parent by default!). Rather than learning how to write an A, B or C, the children exiting this program will only have to worry about transitioning socially & getting used to being at a "big kids school". For any parent, this is huge. My son will be attending private school in the fall, and I can tell that when you tell any public or private school they are coming from Patti's, I quote....."oh, we loooove Pattis". Our experience with Patti, the teachers, the front office staff, and the support staff have been nothing short of perfection. One of Patti's greatest talents is hiring the most friendly, kind hearted, happy, top-notched staff all with similar visions and a great passion for the success of the school. My daughter is about two weeks from completing the program start to finish. She started when she was almost 2.5 years old and has stayed in the program through their step up to kindergarten program. She has grown so much during her time at Patti's. I attribute my daughter's love of learning and always asking questions to the stimulating curriculum at Patti's. I have never picked her up in the 3 years she has been there where she does not get all excited to show me something new and often tells me to leave and come back when she is done playing with a friend or completing a project. The step up to Kindergarten program has been incredible for our daughter, halfway through the year she started reading kindergarten level reading books, came home spelling words and quizzing me in math. More so than academics, she and all the kids appear to have such confidence in themselves, as well a high level of respect for their peers, teachers and parents, and most simply they all seem happy. The positive environment all the classes provide has been paramount in my daughters upbringing, I could not be more thankful for the education and life tools she has received at Patti's. This past year my son also started his preschool career at Patti's. Unsurprisingly, we have had the same consistent amazing experience with him as we have had with our daughter. In addition, this past spring our son was involved in a rather traumatic accident that landed him home unable to walk for a few months. Patti was beyond sympathetic to our situation, helped out in any way she could, and allowed our son to come and participate in circle time (with me there to assist him of course). When I think of Patti's, I do not think of it as a school or business, it really feels like family and home.
