Patty Beauty Academy is negligent once they receive your money. They will blow you up about attending the school because you reached out about attending the school but once they get your money they make a lot of excuses on school schedule, product is missing stuff, cheap , or you have to wait months to receive or not receive. I took her body sculpting course I haven't received everything listed for the course nor did I take the classes for what I waiting to receive . This place is a scam , they take your money and don't teach shit you learn everything online on you tube , went there about 4 years ago biggest regret loss a lot of money going there and for what they didn't teach shit and the staff was so unprofessional and the owner , they don't know shit and can't teach shit very lame , don't waste your money or time here , all there make up was cheap and it really irritated my face I would break out alot and the gradation make up was so cheap , i would never recommend this place and I felt like the staff were so lazy , and the one girl who taught make and nails was the biggest hater , and she thought she was all that , she did not know how to so make up for nothing read more

Okay so I went here a year ago and I never left a review but let me tell you how far I've gotten since then. If I could give this place 0 stars, I would. I wonder how this business operates legally because this is insane. First of all for my nail course, it was 1,000. I paid 1,000 dollars for like 6 sessions once a week for like an hour. After I finished the course, I did start to realize some things. The products that were given were the lowest of the low. Unusable. We were told that we would also get some things at the end of our course which was some other nail products, and more importantly a brand new UV lamp. I NEVER received the lamp because I was told by Patty herself that I would get it later because she forgot it. I tried to follow up over the next couple of months but it was ghosted. On to the education part of it. Our acrylic course was half assed. I struggled with it and the instructor made no effort to help me. I was sent home with products to help practice but I was always sent with the littlest amount of monomer. The gel-x course was the last 2 days of the course and as u can imagine, I learned the basics. All of the products were cheap. Now that I have completed the course a year ago I can confidently say that I have learned most, or even all of how to do nails from the INTERNET. I have WASTED 1,000 dollars for some "education" when the internet has taught me more/all FOR FREE. Long story short.. $1,000 dollars I'll never see again for basically useless products, useless "education" and no UV lamp. If you're thinking of registering, don't. Youtube tutorials and shopping on amazon will get you SOOOOO much further than this EVER will. read more

Horrible school. Paid for my daughter to go here and she didn't learn to do anything you couldn't learn from a YouTube video. She was promised an extensive makeup kit upon graduation. After many delays they finally had the graduation and no kits. After months of harassing them for the kits and them blaming covid even though their graduation happened right before the restrictions and should have been ready prior to the ceremony they finally gave her some cheap generic kit that we found on Amazon for like $50 dollars and had nothing that was promised. Patty's academy was a good investment for me. I have a busy busy life and they were able to accommodate my constant changes. When I say constant changes, I'm talking missing classes due to personal issues to changing courses itself- they helped and respected me. I just relocated to Vegas and I am planning on taking another class soon at their new location :) read more

SCAM SCAM SCAM. I'd give no stars if I could. I made an appointment to go in for a consultation to get more info back on September 8th. VIA Instagram, they let me know it was ONLY $50.00 to enroll. So I went in for the appointment and NO ONE WAS EVEN THERE. The door was locked, so I called and they let me know that there was no one there and that they didn't have me scheduled in. So, I thought umm ok? Whoever the girl was that I spoke to, (I spoke to 3 different girls) she let me know they'd give me a 50 dollar discount for the inconvenience, and scheduled me for another consultation the next day (Sunday the 9th) so I agreed, and I went in the next day. When I went in the next day, they just sat me down and I waited for about 20 minutes, when they called me in, it was straight to signing contracts and paying a deposit. I BARELY GOT ANY INFO!!!!! So they told me that the deposit was $150.00, me being naive as I am and being really excited about becoming a lash tech, I just paid and signed the contract. I didn't get a $50 dollar discount for the inconvenience they caused me. And it was NOT $50.00 to enroll. The class was supposed to be the following week (September 15th). So I go again, ready to start my class AND ONCE AGAIN. NO ONE IS THERE AND THE DOORS ARE LOCKED. There was this other girl waiting in her car outside, she asked me if I was here to take the eyelash course and I said yes. She told me she had been waiting for a while for someone to come. So I checked my phone, maybe I missed a call or a text from them stating the class was rescheduled, but NOTHING. I called again to see what is going on and a female picks up, it sounds like she's home watching television and I tell her that I'm waiting with another girl to take the eyelash course class and she lets me know that there is no class today because they didn't have as many girls enroll into the eyelash course as they wanted LMAO, so it would be rescheduled. Lmao, they didn't even notify me. You are unprofessional and ridiculous, like those words don't even justify your academy. It's just laughable at this point. It is really hard for me to get a day off, they said they would work with me and when I show up, no is there. My time is very valuable, and I don't have time to be dealing with immature businesses. I feel stupid for falling for this and the worst part is you won't even return my money because of the contract I signed WHICH YES, IT STATES THERE IS NO REFUNDS, but also it's funny how nothing is said on the contract about a refund if your company fails to provide service. AMAZING EXPERIENCE! I absolutely loved this school, everyone was friendly and very accommodating. I wanted to take the makeup class over the summer because I regularly attend a state university. I visited most if not all of the beauty schools in Lancaster and Palmdale and none of them were as professional and pleasant as Patty's Beauty. They worked with me with scheduling without any attitude, extra fees, or resistance. Not only is their customer service fantastic, but the teachers are SO wonderful. Lena, my instructor, was one of the most amazing and talented artists I have ever met. She really helped me improve my technique and reinforced sanitary practices through various looks. I enjoyed every class especially the diverse curriculum. 2000% recommend this school I have learned so much and made some amazing memories!! read more

This "academy" is so UNPROFESSIONAL!!!! Starting from the main business owner who is irresponsible, has no word in what so ever . Made our first class all about the makeup course , weekly how it will worked. It sounded extremely strict when they said about being on time and payments . We got our uniforms almost at the end of the 12 week course! (8th) i believe . They said our brushes were coming late as well so we got some CHEAP as brushes around week 6! (10 wood brushes) valuable price was $12 WOW ! You can start imagining how they were . Didn't even had anything for eyes ! Mostly for face (contour, blush, powder, a flat one with two sticky pointy stuff) It was the week of starting with eyebrows! Well , guess what !? NO BRUSHES We worked with some eyeliner and lip disposable trash on each others eyebrows. THEN , the instructor felt so much pressure from us (4 students) that she brought hers to our class . (Unprofessional) but OK at least Following week she ordered some that fold so cheap as well . (Dollar store) As i continue writing this whole story it pisses me even more !! They said the day of ceremony was DECEMBER (end of our 12 week course) Then by week 10 , it was still a decision for them to make . Moved it until MARCH . But never said a specific date ! I had some flight tickets already bought and i always kept asking for when ! So rude from them and unprofessional. I had to DM PATRICIA COYT on INSTAGRAM asking for the contract and the school number . I was very upset that i told her that i wanted my makeup kit to be professional at least since none of the makeup was good quality ! WASTE OF MONEY, UNPROFESSIONAL, LIES. I came to this academy thinking it was a good choice but I was so wrong. According to the messages I received and they're Facebook page , they tell you that you will receive an apron and a kit to use IN and OUT of class to practice. The apron wasn't coming in for us and I was informed I would not get a kit due to students paying for the enrollment fee and first class and leaving and taking the kit with them. They try to blame Covid for us not being able to get a kit but it doesn't make sense because we all share the same ONE bottle of monomer and ONE bottle of acetone so the virus is a BS excuse. I wish I would of known because I had to go out and spend my own money about $200+ just to be able to practice at home. There is the first day where you literally practice doing beads with acrylic for the whole 4 hours and by the next class we are supposed to know how to do nails. The folder they provide is so poorly printed and talks about being a tech where this course will not provide you with the certification to become to tech. You can not practice on clients with this BS certificate. Also in the folder is provides pictures of shapes and your nail outline but you can't even see them it's so cheap and poor quality there is no way to learn from it. Communication is horrible. If you need something you have to call like 10 times . Also I was told to show up to a class and I drove an hour distance and when I showed up no one was there . Complete waste of time and money. Everyone from my class actually dropped the class and has complaints because how horrible this class is. It is not organized properly. The only good thing about this was my instructed Anel who was kind and charismatic and had lots of knowledge.
