For some reason my reveiw did not post. No problem I took 12 ounces of Sterling silver to Paul Benson. At $93.00 per ounce I was looking for a decent check. We'll the salesman said they would pay 40% of the base. 12 times 93. = around 1100. But the melt value was 780.00. I got a check for 233.00. He said I came down to 8 once established. Even 8 oz would be around 800. How is 40% of either 12 oz or 8 oz end up 233.00. Liars and crooks straight up nasty thieves. You stole from a disabled combat veteran whom lives off a VA check every month. Low life's. My fellow yumas and veterans DO NOT ALLOW PAUL BENSON TO STEAL FROM US ANYMORE. My ring had to be fixed, and there was more to fix than I thought. The gentleman in the store showed me under a microscope all the problems that needed to be addressed. When I got the ring back, I again looked at it under the microscope, and could see that the work had been done. Took a diamond in for appraisal and was greeted by a girl with tattoos on her neck and arms, she was nice and I presume she was training another girl because she was following her around. She took a look at my diamond under a microscope and told me right away that she believed it was not a diamond. I knew for a fact that it was, as I have had it registered with the GIA but I didn't tell her this. She then told me that she is not very good at appraising gemstones and took my diamond out back to have another associate "take a look at it". She then took my diamond to the back, and out of my sight, by herself, and came back 15 seconds later and said "yep it's not a real diamond", I then asked her why she took it out of sight from me and the cameras, and I stated that her associate is quite fast at appraising diamonds, and asked her, how do I know you didn't swap my diamond for a fake gem? She got defensive and asked me if I wanted to look at the camera footage I told her she went out of sight of cameras and she should have left my diamond on the tray in front of me and called the co worker over, I told her how unprofessional all of this was. By now I was tired and frustrated by her attitude and I wasn't going to continue to argue with this girl that I took my stuff and left. DO NOT GO HERE, THEY ARE CROOKS! read more

We have spent well over $2,000 at this jewelry store in the past month alone. So apparently last week when my family member goes to pick up an order from them they forgot to add one piece of her jewelry to her bill and did not charge her for it, but let her leave the store with that piece anyways, because they had no idea they didn't charge her for it. So today we Go in to get another piece this family member had them put together for her(like I said we have given them amazing business over the past month) and they tell her it'll be $700 when the piece we were picking up was only $350. So naturally we are concered about whats going on and they didnt even really know what was going on. So we are also there to build another ring (again we gave them good business here) and we are trying to figure out how to make it work and they take over 2 hours to figure out this ring. Well come to find out we are really there waiting for the manager to bring himself in to figure out the reciept dispute. Not waiting for todays ring situation to be settled. No they had us basically hostage in the store making us think we are waiting for today's ring but it was for their mistake they made last week in not charging my family memeber for the purchase. Now I can understand them wanting to be paid for that other piece from the week prior; however, you do not hold a generous and multiple time customer hostage without simply saying theres a reciept dispute and we are trying to get it figured out. We sat there 2.5 hours, not even knowing what was really going on. All they had to do was say do you mind coming back later there is a reciept dispute and we need to figure it out. It was just horrible customer service if you ask me especially since we still went ahead and placed another order today for another piece of jewelry. Had they been honest and forthcoming from the beginning we wouldnt have been so upset, but this was just ridiculous. We settled the bill and paid for last weeks piece of jewelry and still placed todays order, but this is honestly the Last time we will be going there. It was just a bunch of nonsense. Like I said had they just been honest from the get go it would have been a beeter story. We are not theives and wouldnt have ever thought of taking advantage of them. It was their mistake. Their bad but they kept us there under false pretence. So annoyed. 2.5 hours I'll never get back. The quality of the jewelry is great. Customer service lacked in honesty. read more

Paul Bensel has the best customer service!!! I purchased my wife's engagement ring and wedding ring from them a few years ago. When I went shopping for the "proposal" ring I was nervous with the whole process and didn't know what to expect. I don't know anything about diamonds or jewelry in general. Right away James Bensel made the process a no brainer. He helped me pick out a basic ring that I could propose with so I could bring my wife (then fiance) back to help pick out a ring she would love. They were going to give us full credit back for our original purchase but because of the sentimental value of the basic ring we decided to keep it. My wife and I picked out a band and gorgeous diamond that we both loved! We added a matching band later and couldn't be happier. Fast forward a few years later and my wife was at work and called me to let me know the diamond fell out of her ring. She found the diamond and we took them back to James and team. They were so helpful and concerned. The looked at everything (literally through a microscope) to find out what happened and why. After they found the issue it was corrected all under the original warranty - no charge!!! We paid to have some upgrades done while they were working on it to make it even better. I broke a necklace and went there for a repair. They wanted $80.00 to fix it. Then I asked how much for a new one and was quoted $55.00. I thought that was really high. I went down the road and got my necklace fixed for only $35.00 and the cleaned it too! Would not recommend them for repairs. read more
