We stay I the medium sized green cabin. It's newly built. Three levels all with their own bathroom…read moreand shower/bath. Can sleep 10 comfortably. Really good for multi family or multi couple groups. The trek to the boats is horrible. Very dangerous to walk down. There is no set of stairs from this cabin to the docks. As for the docks, they are more community based than not. Get here early to secure your dock and claim it. There are not enough docks if they have a full rental in the resort. The bay is very shallow and needs to be dredged. However, the location is good for fishing and playing. The wifi barely reaches this cabin so do not count on it. The closer boat ramp is good for very small boats and wave runners. For bigger boats you have to drive 10 minutes to the larger ramp. Location is about 5-8 minutes from town. The cabin we stayed in has a dishwasher!!! Overall it is very clean. It's newer. There is a volleyball pit in the resort and paddle bike boats. Otherwise you need to bring your fun. They do rent decent pontoons. The resort for rent trailers near the cabins. They start drinking at noon and are out all weekend. There is no daily maid or clean up service. Garbage isn't picked up either. Our cabin has two TVs. One is 13" the other is 20". The grills are in bad shape but they work. The staff is easy to work with and friendly.

Above average resort in Northern Wisconsin. Some upgraded, some new cabins. The biggest unit, which…read morewe have rented twice, is three stories, central air conditioned, gas fire place, full kitchen with dishwasher, walk out basement with pool table, three baths. Very nice, very clean Decent pontoon boats to run, close to Chetek. We do our family vacation there and we will be back again

I booked the week to go fishing. I had 2 separate issues with my boat motor. Mike helped on both…read moreoccasions to help get it running. In fact there is a guy named Jim who worked on it on Wednesday with Mike and got it running. Very reasonable with the costs too. The accommodations were very nice at the resort. They have a lot of repeat business. Met 2-3 families that have been coming here for over 10-12 years annually. That to me says a lot. Looking forward to the next year! Rick M

Horrible experience at Twin Pines Resort. If I could give zero stars, I would…read more The owners, Mike and Becky, were awful to deal with. They harassed us for using the provided garden hose out back to fill the kids' sand and water toys. Mike told us to just use lake water instead, but the edge of the lake was very rocky and not safe for our kids, who are all under 5 years old, to be getting water from there. There was also a huge septic sinkhole (see picture) on the back side of the cabin that was covered by a rotting piece of plywood. It was seriously unsafe, especially for children. When we brought it to the owners' attention, we were simply told to stay away from it and keep better track of our kids. On our fifth night, Mike parked his golf cart on the edge of the yard in the dark about five minutes before 10:00 p.m. At 10:02, he shined a strobe flashlight into the yard where we were having a bonfire and making s'mores with the kids. When we went over to ask what was going on, he told us the party was over, the fire had to be put out, and we were being kicked out of the rental and had to leave the next day--even though we had the cabin rented for two more nights. We tried to ask him why, and he claimed we were being too loud and drunk (???). We were not partying or drinking. We had little kids with us and were just trying to enjoy an evening making s'mores around the fire. We had never been given any warning to keep the noise down. He even ended up calling the sheriff on us. He recited the sheriff's phone number from memory, so I'm assuming this isn't the first time he's done something like this. The sheriff had to come out, and even he seemed confused as to why he had been called. The cabins themselves were not in good condition at all. The floors were uneven, the doors wouldn't even shut properly due to what appeared to be foundation issues, there were soft spots in the floors, bugs and cobwebs in the corners of every room, and the mattresses were pretty much unsleepable. The property description also claimed there was a sandy swimming area, which was completely false advertising (see photos). To top it all off, we were charged almost $1,000 more than what we were originally quoted. This place is a scam, not family-friendly at all, and the owners were awful to deal with. I would not recommend this place to ANYONE. Stay away and find a different resort.
