I find this rather sad the owner has to wrote his own good review.
    Cali V.

I will never come back to this place. I was a seasonal for several years and when I moved out and received my final electric bill and it was inflated by atleast $50.00 from the previous years and I had spent less time as I had another camper that I spent more time at over the summer. I know for a fact my neighbors electric bill was approximately $100.00 less than mine and she had spent all summer weekends and several week vacations at her seasonal site. The owner had told me that I spent more time during the week which is untrue. The time I spent there during the week was to mow the lawn. As stated above I had a different seasonal I spent more time at over the summer. I did leave my boat as i rented and paid for a dock space for the whole season and left it there because i thought I could come and jump on the lake at anytime and was never advised it was to be removed. They took docks out and didnt notify me and had tied my boat to a tree. A friend of mine had sent me a text message NOT the owners to tell me that my boat was tied to a tree. In seasons past it was posted on Facebook when dock removal would be. My boat would have been out if I had know they were going to be removing docks. If you think treatment like this is ok for a seasonal camper then this is the place for you. I also had family members rent one of the cabins and they are not well maintinaed are basically falling apart. This is directed towards you the owner Scott M. Trying to act as if you're a 5 star resort which is untrue. Why dont you respond to your messages and return my camper key that I have sent you 3 messages to do so instead of following my social media accounts and making people believe you are a good person and business man?? Good business people return items that do not belong to them. But, instead you have the time to respond to these messages?

My family goes to Hayward each July 4, and while we have our favorites in town to eat at each…read moresummer, I always like to try something new. So my family asked me to pick a new-to-us spot. I chose The Boulevard after looking at the reviews. But overall, it was a meh experience unfortunately. I got a reservation for our large family group, and our table was waiting for us when we arrived. Besides us there were just a few more parties dining in. But while we were seated quickly, out experience then went downhill. The biggest problem: We had to wait nearly 90 minutes to get our entrees. We had to ask a few times what the hold-up was, and the owner (I think) ended up providing free desserts for the table to compensate. This helped, but still ... 90 minutes. And our entrees were a bit hit or miss. I got the shrimp alfredo, which didn't have much flavor. A couple of our other entrees were cold. My husband's pork chop was delicious, though, he said. It overall felt like The Boulevard didn't know what it wanted to be -- either more high-end with its entrees and prices or casual. I would be interested in trying it again, but hopefully our dinner won't take as long as it did on our first visit.

Our table had a nice greeting card to make you feel welcome and appreciated, but it went down hill from there. We got our drinks quickly, placed our dinner orders-we both tried the "Nut Crusted Walleye, thinking we should try what you'd think was a Northern Wisconsin "specialty. Mind you, the price is $38 per dinner, so you'd expect the food quality to match the price-NO WAY. First-the owner misrepresents what comes out of his Kitchen by using Stock Photos you buy for advertising. I'll get back to the food quality in a bit. We got our salads quickly-probably because our Server plated them, but they came with our salad dressings in packets you get at places where the menu is behind a fast food service counter. Honestly, this is insulting, lazy and cheap for the cost. We then waited 25 minutes after the salads to get our Entree's. They were not busy, nor understaffed and we were the only seated table in the entire place, everyone else was at the bar and there we about 10 people who had already been there, so they hadn't ordered before us. At the 20-minute mark for getting our food, I asked our server about our meals, nicely, she proceeded to lie to us that our orders came in AFTER several others and it would be a few more minutes. When our food arrived, it was ALL beige, and the fish was obviously low-grade Walleye with fishy-tasting blood line inherent in low-grade product. The Lonesome Pine in Deerwood, MN has a $36.00 Walleye dinner to die for. The only thing good on the plate were the baked potatoes, which we smothered in butter and our second experience that night of "squeeze tube delivered" Sour Cream. In summary, I see the owner takes offense to criticism. He never said boo to us, but he looked over at us more than a few times as he and his pack of Bar regulars yakked and looked over their shoulders at the "strangers" in their watering hole. Just me and the Wife, looking for new places in the area we thought we'd try. We came with normal expectations, set by how the place is advertised, and it's nothing of the kind. People vote with their dollars. The owner should understand it makes no difference if the patrons aren't your long-time crew and you'd think that it would be a chance to get out from behind the bar, walk over to our table and just say "Thanks for coming in-we hope to see you again" Our bill was $110.00 BEFORE tip for a server who lied to us. She must be related to the owner.

It's definitely worth the stop. There's nothing else quite like this classic supper club in the Stanley/Thorp area. This place is great for what it is. Worthy of 5-stars, especially when compared to the other options in the surrounding area (and I've eaten at most of them over the past 15-years). Please give'em some love and attention. I don't think towns like Stanley should ever lose places like Kutzee's. It's not much from the outside, but warm, classic log cabinny feel inside. You're welcomed in to a cozy bar area just inside the front door. I really wanted to hang at the bar when we walked in, alas, our hangries were getting the better of us, so we opted directly into the dining area. Our server was crazy attentive and on the mark. Well spoken, and very helpful. Food is classic supper club fare. Steaks, fish (deep fried and broiled). Baked potatoes, hash browns, fries. You know the drill. It's all filling and hangry quashing. If I had to be super nit picky I could give Kutzee's a few little knocks here and there - The minimum selection of call gins (2), bourbons (1), the unidentifiable wines by the glass (no wine by the bottle), the pre-portioned sauces and sour cream in plastic cups with plastic lids and pre-packaged salad dressing pouches are all slightly annoying. Though all are pretty forgivable and understandable given the size and style of the restaurant. Again, I'm admittedly being nit picky. Kutzee's could easily slide upscale a little tiny bit by having small fresh pepper mills and better quality (non-iodized) salt on the table, but again forgivable and understable. Our steaks were cooked on the mark, medium rare. I have no complaint with that! Half of the places in the big city can't even seem to get that right, so kudos to you Mr. Chef-man. You made our night with that small skill. On the flip side, the steaks could have been better seasoned with fresh pepper and salt prior to cooking, but the generous amount of butter added after they came off the grill helped temper that a bit. I reminisced about not having the classic supper club things I remember from my youth like the pickle relish tray and cracker basket. What I don't miss is pickled herring. ha Both the bartender (owner?) and server were extraordinarily friendly and helpful. Service was on the mark. The prices, for this big city boy, were more than acceptable too. Again I have minor quibbles, but with prices like these, big city boy isn't going to complain much. I left Kutzee's feeling sated and happy that we found someplace we'd be extremely happy to go back to the next time(s) we're in Thorp and Stanley. And our wallets didn't feel too much lighter after the experience either. Yet another check mark in the win column for Kutzee's. My final thought is this place is a secret and that's too bad! The 30-something front desk clerk at the AmeriVu hotel in Stanley didn't even know Kutzee's existed when I asked him about it. If Kutzee's invited hotel staff up for comp'd meals, I bet the future business payback would be more than worth the expense.

But, upon making it to my 80th birthday, and getting back to the cabin, we decided on a rewarding trip to a Wisconsin Supper Club was in order. Again, Kincaid's did not disappoint ! Service was pleasant, considerate and attentive without being cloying. We all ordered Prime Rib and it was absolutely excellent: done to order; trimmed to minimize fat and gristle; tender, very tasty and consistent across all individual plates. The sides were all done well and offered with a variety of selections. The salad bar was fresh, clean and more than ample for any appetite. Soups were outstanding. I've worked and traveled for too many decades and my experience with Prime Rib as my 'go to' meal has left me with a very critical palate. Kincaid's begins with a good cut of beef, trims it well, and roasts it correctly resulting in Kincaid's being my preferred choice for a Prime Rib. Pricing is always a consideration and value for what you spend is really quite fair and reasonable at Kincaid's. I will be returning soon and sincerely recommend a visit to Kincaid's in Rice Lake.

Our waitress (who ended up being the owner) sat us and we told her we'd like some water. After waiting another twenty minutes the rest of our party arrived and sat down. After waiting about ten minute we all went to the bar to see if we could coast get water. I saw our waitress and asked the bartender to direct her to our table. She came shortly after and took our order. We all ordered and another person in our party asked for water. My boyfriend then asked for extra tarter and lemon which never came with his food, my friend never got her water. We wouldn't have gotten drinks if we would t have gone to the bar ourselves to get them. Our food arrives and my prime was completely rare I sent it back and when it returned it looked microwaved and was 1000% well done. Zero pink in it all all. While my friends ate their food I ate my salad bar and auggies waiting for our waitress (who is the owner!!!!) but she was nowhere to be found. She finally came back and my firmed asked for her bill and I told her to please take my prime off of the bill because I hadn't taken a single bite of my microwaved overdone food. She said okay and walked away. After waiting another ten minutes my friends went yo the bar to look for a to go box for his food at the bar instead of waiting even longer for her. When she finally came back she refused to take the prime off, I offered to pay for the salad bar and potatoes I ate. She still refused and told us she was the owner and we didn't know what we were talking about and that we should just stay home insisted of coming back. GLADLY. If I could give zero stars I would.
