She and her husband were beyond hospitable with smiles and time for everyone. The campground is immaculate and they have spared no detail. It had the best entertainment for our three year old Granddaughter. The bounce pad, pool, miniature golf and playground were a big hit. She was the tiny dancer to the live music. What a place. There is electric and water, but no sewer, so you have to coserve to make sure you dont fill your tanks too quick, but they do have a honey-wagon that they can empty you if needed. The bathrooms were clean. You have to pay $.25 for a 4 miqnute shower. That was annoying because the machine to put coins in is on the wall across from the showers, so you have to go out naked to put another coin in, if needed, or waste the time to put a towel on. It wouldn't have been horrible, but there always seemed to be kids playing in the bathroom, so that made it uncomfortable. Oh, and you have to get quarters before the office closes, or u r not showering! They have a nice playground. They have a jumping pillow and mini golf for an extra fee. There is a small game room, but we didn't look very closely at what they had. There is a pool that they claim is heated at 80 degrees. It wasn't too cold, but it sure wasn't 80 degrees! We would camp there again if we were going to that area. Only complaint is the office and the pool close way too early.

At one point at the end of the summer a party was thrown at the pavilion which I was not involved in. JR decided to use this as an opportunity to kick residents out of the campground that he does not like. It was determined that I was not allowed back even though I was in my camper and sleeping at a reasonable time and never socialized with anyone at the pavilion party. JR never gave me a chance, and for some reason judged me as a bad seed from the first time he saw me. I would steer clear of Wildwood at all costs, the ownership is toxic! I assume it will only be a matter of time before the residents flee this campground for more reasonable accommodations.

They do charge for parking passes. We were prepared to pay $16 for our non- resident vehicle ( they do have the prices on their website). To our delight, since we were attending a family reunion at the only covered pavilion on the island, our parking was just $5! Plenty of parking, bathrooms aren't a far walk fe the pavilion (& they're clean!). Playground is adequate. The water area for play seemed a lot bigger when I was younger & attended reunions here. Water was calm but gorgeous!

The campsites are all pretty flat (perfect for pitching tents) and all have fire pits with good moveable cooking grates. Both nights we were there had a good breeze so the bugs were non-existent which was amazing considering we camped right next to the water. The park also has several short well-maintained trails to explore . Will definitely be returning.

They do have a nice pet area to the side of the main beach area that is big enough for maybe 3 or so families. it was nice that the pet area still had a sandy area for smaller dogs to gradually walk into. We ended up hiking around 6 miles of the park. Tried our hand at fishing off the fishing pier but no luck, lots of algae bloom. The lake was a lot clearer but we didn't have a boat or canoe. The bathrooms were super clean and updated. Showers are free and well lit. Will definitely be back!

RIVER TUBING REVIEW…read more I will choose this place again and again! Only a 35 minute drive from St Paul. Very well run - you show up, pay for tubes and rope to connect your group, can turn your keys in to the desk, and your on your way! It took us 2 hours to get down the river in mid July. I was told that's quick! There are picnic tables along the route where people stop and gather. They pick you up in a bus at the end (clearly marked) and it's a 5 minute drive back to your car. The river was clean enough, we didn't run into TOO many trees haha. Wear shoes too, the bottom of the river is rocky. It was $20 a tube, $1 for rope, and we did buy an extra tube for our cooler of drinks. Bring a cooler! It costs $20 even if you bring your own tube. I can PROMISE they won't run out of tubes, ever, which was a fear of mine haha. My only feedback is they need to get tubes with cup holders haha. Wear sunscreen and have a DD! Again I will be back here, great Saturday activity!!

When we showed up it was drizzling and the employees actually recommended against us going because people get cold when it's raining but we wanted to go anyway & fortunately it stopped. (Everything I read on yelp before this was the company wanted to get every cent they cut out of you etc. this was counter to that and they were definitely customer friendly) All the employees were very nice to us, told everyone what to expect, got our equipment tubes and we got a cooler tube And we were off. On the tail end of the river their employee was there waiting for us load it up and got in the truck to go back no problems whatsoever. The other family we went with had not been b4 & had three kids and had a total blast said they would definitely go back. Very relaxing day I would say we were there on a Thursday and I'm sure it gets crazy on the weekends but our experience was very peaceful met a few other families on the river, had a few drinks and snacks and a great day overall!!
