Paul Davis was hired by my condo association after the flood. They allowed 3rd party workers . ( unvetted and unsupervisied ) into my unit. During that time my high end road bike was stolen. It was locked to a interior block wall . They had enough time to go through my file drawers to find the the key and remove the bike. Replacement cost $5000 . I spoke with their office and was told that they weren't responsible. read more

One year to repair damage from kitchen leak. Poor communication. 90% of the employees who worked on my job didn't speak English. My job was not a priority. Was told their crews were assigned to other larger jobs. Pack in/out work submitted to Allstate Insurance was not completed because they assigned their workers to other jobs and couldn't get it done before cabinets were installed. I was left with dozens of boxes to unpack myself before guest were scheduled to arrive. They knew it and put other jobs ahead of mine. Had to cancel guest who planned months ahead. Unlicensed sub-contractors. Most parts of the job required multiple visits to complete properly. Horrible experience with my kitchen cabinets. Management was unresponsive to my problems. Now waiting for a check for broken crystal that was promised weeks ago, after they were paid by Alacrity. Job was finished in December. Alacrity paid them. Still not check. Project manager won't respond to my text. Would not recommend them for any work!!! read more

This past October we had a pipe burst in our home while we were at work. My husband was fortunate enough to happen to be looking at out security cameras on our back porch and saw standing water in our sunroom and was able to get home in 20 minutes and turn off the water, but by that point the water had been running for 3 1/2 hours and the damage was done. Imagine walking into your home and finding standing water everywhere. Your carpets completely soaked, your furniture absorbing water with every passing minute. It was literally my biggest freak out moment ever. All because of a burst pipe under my daughter's bathroom sink. I immediately contacted my insurance company and they gave me the name of a couple of businesses that could handle the water extraction...our primary concern at that point. I called Paul Davis Restoration and within 30 minutes, Chris showed up at our home to do a quick assessment and within another 30 minutes, his water extraction team were there with the machines to get the water removed. Our home was mainly carpet, with linoleum in the bathroom, foyer and kitchen. Within a couple of hours, they had as much of the water that was possible to be sucked out completely gone and had moved in the mega-dryers and dehumidifiers into the house to help the dry out process which took 4 days. We stayed in a hotel in the mean time. After doing a bit of research, we decided that Paul Davis Restoration would be the best choice for getting everything back to normal, once they were able to assess the damage. We needed new flooring, new cabinetry, new baseboards, new paint and I have to say I am 100% satisfied with the job they did. We decided that we wanted to go with wood look tile for an additional cost and they worked with us throughout the entire process. Chris brought out cabinet samples/colors, let us choose new paint colors for the interior and they were able to make additional changes/upgrades that my husband and I had wanted over the years (adding crown molding to the cabinetry, replacing the old builder grade counter-top in the master bath, installing new French Doors, etc...at a VERY reasonable cost to us our of pocket. Our project manager, Rick, made sure our house was completed in time for Christmas and it was wonderful having our home fresh and "new" for the holidays. I would definitely contact them if I needed additional work done on our home...and I would love to have a new/updated shower in my master bath, so we will be back! read more

We had a great experience with Paul Davis Restoration & Remodeling after having 45 gallons of water leak overnight from our water heater onto the first floor of our home. Through insurance, Paul Davis came out and cleaned up the water immediately and then proceeded to replace the damaged walls, trim and vinyl plank flooring. Jermaine did a fantastic job; his work is impeccable. Terrence the Project Manager was always available and very diligent with being on top of every phase of the restoration. We went on vacation in January, When we returned we opened the door and water came at the front door at us. We were shocked, there was water all through the house. We didn't know who to call,I remembered seeing a Paul Davis truck working in the neighborhood in the past.So we called, they immediately returned our call. They came in in found the reason for the water damage, Explained my options and went to work. They removed all the water, and brought in equipment and dried the house thoroughly. There was damage to the wood base trim and door trim and the drywall. A bunch of scam artists. Shoddy work and unreliable timelines. They overcharge for work done. And to top it off, fraudulently cashed a check I requested they not cash. Do not recommend. You are better off finding your own contractors and monitoring the work yourself. I recommend you go with another company that's reputable. read more

My repair was bounced around from person to person. After weeks with no contact from chris. The project was given to another person woman I can not recall the name. Then I was told after a month it was given to Stephen. No one could seem to get there stuff together long enough to give me a straight answer on my project and its timeline. My porch was removed and left with hanging pieces for months with exposed nails. My home was sold prior to getting this porch repaired and then months later, I have been asked to sign off saying the project has been completed. I have no proof or knowledge of this and made sure to tell Stephen that I was selling the home so anything that needed to be signed was to be done BEFORE I sold the home, he was aware of the date and even asked chris if I needed to sign anything. Nothing was given to me, therefore I sold my home. My project was start end of July of 2018 and was "finished " almost a year later. UNSATISFACTORY! Paul Davis Restoration (Melbourne, FL) has the worst customer service imaginable. If you have a property that needs remodeling due to water damage, Paul Davis Restoration should NOT be considered to assist you. I am not one to take the time to post a review, but I wanted the public to know that I would advise to stay clear from this company. The company overcharged for services, failed to show up on the job when scheduled, took over 5 weeks to even stop the small water leak, failed to respond to phone calls and emails, and took an extraordinarily long time to complete the small remodel. Slow pace, very bad quality. Left walls unpainted behind furniture, although they were paid to move the furniture and paint the wall completely. Some repairs showed cracks six weeks after being repaired. Insurance inspector stated that the work and materials they have used have lowered the value of property. I had to fire them for not performing operations as included in contract. At the end, they asked to be paid for work they did not do, which was the ground for being fired, in the first place. It took two more months and help from Florida authorities to make them review their position and accept the correct value of their work. I was overcharged for carpet replacement. When asked for the carpet bill, they provided an edited copy with no prices. What is the meaning of a bill with no prices? They brought cabinets that did not fit in my kitchen. Top units were too large and bottom cabinets were to small. I had to hire a second contractor to fix what they have done incorrectly and repair the damages. Because of them I had to live in a construction site from July to December 2013. read more

Paul Davis renovated two bathrooms and replaced all the flooring in an 1800 sq ft. beach condo with porcelain tile. Overall they did a very nice job and I would recommend them. Having said that there were a few issues I wish they had handled better. We had to have plumbers come back several times to get the three new sinks plumbing corrected to stop the drains from leaking into the new cabinets. To their credit, they came back without extra charge or complaint and said they would stick with it as long as it took to get it right, but it took several visits. Secondly, the cleaning after the flooring was completed was not very good. WE spent several days reclining everything. Lastly the flooring does not include sealing the grout but that was never mentioned. Only after the fact did the estimator tell us he had not included it and for any beach condo I would highly recommend it be included in any flooring contract. read more
