An absolutely wonderful pub experience! It was a chilly day in Dingle and we came in for dinner and saw the Beef Guineas Stew and it was perfect! It was a very hearty stew with a flavor that satisfied the taste buds. To top it off we added an Irish coffee, rhubarb crumble, and sticky toffee pudding. It was a great meal that satisfied us both! First off, I have to say that the service was great at this place. Everyone was friendly and attentive. That said, the food was average at best. My son got pizza and it reminded me of microwave pizzas in college, ten for $10 for a reason... The place itself was clean, maybe a little too clean as it smelled strongly of disinfectant, which was a little off putting. Outside of that, nothing particularly remarkable about the venue itself. With all of the other food options in Dingle I suspect there were better choices. read more

Had a fantastic experience at this cozy pub in Dingle! From the moment we walked in, the atmosphere was warm and welcoming--exactly what you hope for in a traditional Irish pub. I have to give a special shoutout to the vegan burger--it was absolutely outstanding. Perfectly cooked, packed with flavor, and thoughtfully put together with great toppings and a delicious bun. It's not always easy to find a truly satisfying vegan option in a pub, but this one exceeded expectations. The veg soup was also really good--comforting, hearty, and clearly homemade. And the salad greens were incredibly fresh and crisp, which added a nice, light balance to the meal. Great food, friendly service, and a lovely setting. Gayle and I recently came here for Lunch on a "typical" rainy Dingle Day. We had wandered over to Main Street to shop at the An Gailearaí Beag (West Kerry Crafts Guild) and Fado Antiques, of which the person there recommended Paul Geaney's Bar and Restaurant. We were seated at a nice booth, and next to an interesting group of folks speaking French. Our waitress was fun and engaging, even when she told us that they were out of Smithwicks. I gladly chose a glass of Rockshore Lager instead. My Lunch choice was an Open Ploughman, as it looked interesting and wanted to avoid yet another Irish meal featuring potatoes. That was pretty tasty, as was Gayle's Prawn and Salmon dish. Nice place! read more

We had fantastic food at Paul Geaney's starting with a salad and ending with an amazing lamb and Guinness stew that was rich and hearty with complex flavors. The hale in herbed wine sauce was solid too and the sauce was full of buttery goodness. We really enjoyed this place! read more

Heard they had best Guinness stew and it was fantastic. We shared it and a ceasar salad . Also dessert toffee pudding with small vanilla ice-cream. To be honest I'd not reorder the dessert or get something different. But the Guinness stew was star of the show. Beef was so tender and no yucky fat or mystery stuff. Walked in and was seated right away. Drink order was taken immediately and she returned with drinks and took our dinner order. Guinness beef stew and Ceasar salad were both really good and the Sticky Toffee pudding desert was pretty good as well. Ambiance was clean and tidy if playing a bit to the touristy crowd you have here in Dingle. If we were in town a 3rd night we would probably have dinner here again! read more

Very modern place with loads of seating. There are power outlets at each table...which you don't see in many Irish bars and restaurants.! We got seated and served quickly. I ordered the leg of lamb which was more of a lamb roast than the traditional leg of lamb. It was tasty, but a bit dry. My wife very much enjoyed the chicken curry. read more

This quaint bar is located in Dingle and has some beers on draft as well as a delicious menu. This spot seems to be a mix of locals and tourist. We came around 7pm and there were tables still free and the servers are friendly and wear a smile on their face. We ordered the pepperoni pizza which my other half really liked. Plenty of cheese and on a nice foldable thin crust. I on the other hand, got the shrimp and chicken stir fry noodles. Really tasty and a big helping too. They did have some daily specials, that if you get a chance to come to Dingle you should definitely roam the streets and eat at this bar and restaurant. read more

We stopped here on the way back from slea head drive. I saw they serve breakfast until 1 on Sundays and when I asked the waitress didn't give me an answer. So I ended up just getting pizza. We came for fish and chips also and it wasn't on the menu. But they did have it which was a plus. Coffee was hot. Dropped in for dinner after hanging at a pub down the street. I don't like to say it but service was a bit lacking. Perhaps it was our female server having an off day, but I sensed some indifferent vibes from her; maybe it was nearing the end of her shift, but still no excuse. And it took quite some time for the food to actually hit the table. The food itself was fine, temperature of everything was ok. Enjoyed dinner. Portion sizes were good and the pints were fresh. The spicy wings have an Asian flavor profile. Sweet and spicy. For me, I like more heat. So, if heat is not your thing, this won't overwhelm you. The prawns are breaded and fried well. My son enjoyed them.. The service was attentive without being intrusive. A long inviting bar, plenty of seating, a great beer list - Paul Geaney's Bar is one of the better pub/restaurants in Dingle. You really can't go wrong with any of the pub/restaurants in Dingle. My girlfriend and I, in what became a common theme in our trip to Dingle, ended up walking into Paul Geaneys Bar because the menu looked good. The modest open restaurant has a long bar on the left and plenty of seating on the right extending fairly far back. Our server seemed a little stressed out, as it looked like only two guys were handling the mostly full restaurant, but he never stopped being friendly. We ordered the Fish & Chips (€16.95) and the Fish Cakes (€15.95). It was great, if overpriced, pub food that really satisfied. The Fish of the Fish & Chips was friend battered perfection, sitting on top of a bed of fries with a side of mashed peas. The fish cakes had a crunchy breaded coat with a really solid chili sauce. In addition to the food, be sure to check out the beer menu, as Geaneys has one of the best microbrew menus in Dingle. Overall, Paul Geaney's Bar is a great low key spot serving delicious somewhat overpriced pub food with a great beer menu. You don't need to rush out to visit, but if you're nearby it's worth a stop. read more

Went to this bar for a bite to eat for dinner. The Cottage Pie was spot on and seasoned correctly. The leg of lamb was over a bit but the over all flavor of the lamb was decent, not great. The gravy saved it. The atmosphere seemed quite and makes it easy to talk to the person you're with which is a welcome break from most bars. Live music kicks up late at night. They have dri k specials and food specials each day. Of the Lamb would have been at the correct temperature this could have scored higher. read more

Large plates, hot meals, good food, and comfort food at its finest. Per our usual M.O we went directly to the bar for dinner, and drinks. We were off in the corner but the bartender was more than happy to assist us with choosing what to order. He said it is all delicious, and it all really looked delicious. I ordered the special which was the beef roast with mashed potatoes and gravy, and vegetables (cauliflower, broccoli, carrots, potato). Large portion yet I impressed everyone by eating the whole plate. Almost licked it clean if it wasn't for that cauliflower I don't like. Anyways. They slice you up 3 hearty pieces of beef, topped with 3 large scoops (ice cream scoop size) of mashed potatoes drizzled with some pretty awesome gravy. The gravy was thick, fresh, had a sweetness taste to it. It was (drum roll) some of the best gravy I've ever had. My companion ordered the other special 10oz rib eye medium rare. Same presentation as the roast but he had fresh onion rings stacked 6 high sitting on top of his steak. Also another fan of the food but he did lick his plate clean, plus ate my cauliflower. Cold nights, crisp air, strong winds, and rain call for you to run in here for some great comfort food with great size portions. read more

We are in day 6 of our 10 day trip and got into Dingle late looking for a quick bite. Unfortunately the service was very slow and it wasn't worth the wait. I had the fish n chips which tank last on my list so far and my wife had the pizza that tasted worse than a frozen pizza. Very unfortunate and wouldn't recommend to friends visiting. read more

This is a great place to stop in and have an Irish craft beer. I recommend the Clever Man Smoked Stout.

We had a large group (12 people) and they were able to accommodate us quickly. The seafood chowder was delicious and filling with lots of different kinds of seafood in the soup. I shared the special of the day entrée- spicy blackened salmon with mashed potatoes and steamed vegetables. The local gin and tonic was one of the better ones I have had so recommend it if you like gin. The kids had the non-alcoholic local apple cider. A local band played a mix of Irish music and modern cover band songs. They were very good and got the crowd into the spirit of the music. read more

Bit dismal really. This place was recommended and although we felt anxious when walking in to an almost empty pub we stayed. Soon filled with American tourists and this was clearly who was being catered for. My son ordered chicken wings and they came covered in a BBQ sauce that tasted like Sweet baby Rays - would have been okay as s dipping sauce on a he side. On s bed of salad that was drenched with a white spiced dressing that took all freshness away and made it inedible. My husband had chowder which he enjoyed. Main meals. By this time there was little conversation as the place had filled with American tourist who spoke louder and louder in a bid to outdo each other. My son had a burger which was great but fries pallid and insipid; very little frying involved and no crispness . My husband had the Irish stew which he enjoyed - luckily there was bread left over from his chowder to mop up the sauce as none was offered. My chicken and leek pie was a special of the day. Chicken tender and tasty but drowning in a sauce with few veg. Accompanied by salad drenched in same gross dressing making it inedible . Trust me, you can do better than here read more
