Great facility!!!!! The administration isn't the best but the classes and instructors are AWESOME!…read more Before my job relocated, I signed up for the fitness center here. What attracted me was the price and that the gym was well equipped but not overly crowded. Everything was well maintained and clean. This past spring I signed up for High Impact Aqua Aerobics. To my surprise we had a staff of handsome, athletic young men as instructors. My, my, my just beautiful eye candy. If this wasn't the best motivation, I just don't know what else there is. They worked us hard and kept it professional. No matter how hard the women tried to flirt they remained friendly but focused. This was one of the best classes I've ever taken. It was high impact and they delivered. Unfortunately the summer session was full before the spring was even finished so i couldn't sign up again, but I will make sure i try for the fall. Besides those instructors were assigned to the lakefront beaches as lifeguards for the summer, so I'm not really missing out on anything ;) The only criticism I have is the office staff. This place has set hours to register, which makes no sense to me. I can't remember but its something like 10-12noon and 2-4. So i came on my lunch at 1:00 (this was before I knew of the set time) and they were like you have to come back, i was like I'm on my lunch and I don't get off of work until 5. After going back and forth with the lady for a minute she finally let me register. This was so irritating because registration takes less than 5 minutes, so what's the problem. Then the park supervisor is always just sitting in her office on the phone, practically every time I come in. She isn't friendly and seems to care less whether people sign up for activities or not. But I'm glad I didn't let this deter me because I'm here to workout and get healthy.

We went for my daughter's 26th birthday party, there were 10 of us family and friends. Even "grandpa" went! WHAT A BLAST!!! Everyone loved it! I haven't picked a favorite team yet (It's a toss up between the "Hell's Belles" and the "Double Crossers". Sorry girls but I just can't pick one!! But my husband was VERY fond of the "Double Crossers". In particular, Nina Millimeter" (I think it was the guns on her tush)!!! The birthday girl loved "Kola Loca" of "The Fury" and even got her autograph on a poster that read "blood is the new pink"! LOVE IT!! These girls are "tough" athletes. I was worn out just watching them! We understood the rules pretty fast, the announcers were excellent and fun! Beer, snacks, and team merchandise are available at the stadium. There's a "Party Bus" that meets at the Cobra Lounge and takes you to the Cicero Stadium. Next time, I think my husband and I will "do" the bus (even though we'll probably be the oldest ones on there)!!!

I have to admit that after sitting through a game I still don't understand roller derby, but then again I'm still trying to figure out the rules of football. But these gals wear fun outfits, sparkly makeup, and have some seriously amazing coordination skills! It all looks so fun, well besides the falling down a lot part. My only regret is that I didn't buy a Hells Belles red tee, but I know I"ll be back to get one. Go Hell's Belles!

This organization has truly disappointed me and my family. There are so many things wrong with…read morethem. My son had played for their football team and I was utterly appalled by how everything was run and the adults dealing with the children. To start, my first horrible experience had started when my son was called a racial slur and when it was brought to the coaches on the team there was nothing done about it. Next, the coaches only want to play their own children. It is basically a game of daddy-son time. I do understand that the coaches are volunteers but if you're going to volunteer then it should be a fair game for every child. We pay too much money to watch the same four children play every game. Then when it is again brought to the coaches attention about this obvious favoritism they say that their child is the "only one" that can play that position. IF YOU ARE COACHING AND ONLY ONE CHILD CAN DO THAT POSITION THAN YOU MUST NOT BE A GOOD COACH! These "men" coaching have truly no idea how to coach everyone. When the Bulldogs then made it to the Super Bowl (congrats) and they were put in the newspaper, only four of the boys named were put in the paper and not the whole team. Can you guess whose child's names they were? THE COACHES! It is crazy that these four kids are being considered the best only because their father's coach. After watching many games they aren't the best and barely make it to the mediocre mark. Than the coaches son, the coach who said that "only his kid can throw", he cried the whole game. This little boy is a cry baby. Everytime he doesn't throw the ball in the right spot, tears. The coach( his father) pats him on the back but says nothing. Yet when another child messes up instead of a pat on the back they are being yelled at. I don't see how this fair to any child. These people need to do better as a team. The bulldogs suck and I want my money back! Bulldogs do better! I will not be silenced!
