I've been researching stem cell procedures for about 1/2 a year now. It started when I came across…read moreDr Centeno's webinars posted on YouTube. I emailed him after I visited the Regenexx website. His office in Colorado immediately responded. At the time i didn't know there were any clinics in California, until they notified me there was one in San Rafael! I called and Eva Cardenas that's located in Oceanside gave me all info on Health Link medical center located in Northern California and booked my appointment with Dr Handleman. The whole process was super smooth and they even accommodated me to get an earlier date than expected. I finally got in to the San Rafael office and met the staff and Dr. Handleman. He took his time talking to me as we both analyzed my MRI findings. There was no doubt in my mind that I made the best decision ever on going to see a part of the Regenexx team that Dr Centeno trained. Dr Handleman and his staff are true professionals. I will be scheduling my PRP procedure in June. I wouldn't be able to trust anyone else after my evaluation with Dr. Handleman. Thank you Regenexx team!!!! Can't wait to feel the results in June! I will post my results then...

This is an update of a previous review I posted in 2017…read more I started going to Dr. Handleman at Advanced Regenerative Orthopedics in 2012 in their first office for a variety of issues. Over the years I've had countless PRP procedures there and always refer people I meet to his business. The procedures were helping and giving me my body back. Over time they have gotten much more expensive than when I began. From around $1,000 for my first procedure to over $3,000 for my most recent one, even with the discount they say they've given me. I have reason to believe in more recent years, after my hostile divorce in 2018, they've been doing shady stuff around my procedures. I wear eye covers for the blood draw and the procedure because I hate needles and blood. I come by myself, so I don't know what they're doing.........how much blood they're taking, what tests they're running on it, if they're putting anything in instead of taking it out. For all I know, they could be loading me up with pain killer. For over 2 months after the procedure all I felt was pain in my wrist. Now I'm feeling pain in my shoulder and upper left SI Joint and more pain in my wrist. The pain in my upper back and neck ligaments is back. Maybe it's because the pain killer they shot me up with is wearing off. My last procedure was for my SI Joints, right shoulder and a tendon on my inner left wrist. The right SI Joint feels better. Part of the left one feels better, but the upper part feels the same or worse. Same with the left wrist. They felt better initially after the procedure, but instead of healing as time went on, the pain and discomfort came back. Especially in the SI Joint. The wrist was always painful. The right shoulder had instability and still has instability. Pain seems to be coming back. I believe I was given a placebo or a cortisone shot into the upper left SI Joint, left wrist and right shoulder. I mainly came in for the wrist. It was an acute injury doing something. When testing it before the procedure, he pulled it very hard and injured it even more than it was. After spending all that money, time of the procedure and recovery, going through the pain and discomfort of the procedure and recovery, my wrist, right shoulder and upper left SI Joint is worse than it was before the procedure. If they used a cortisone shot, that kills stem cells and tissue and makes the problem even worse after it wears off. Ditto if they injected me with pain killer. I know at their home base in Colorado, when they were testing the CCJ procedure, they gave some patients the real treatment(free) and some a placebo without them knowing which one they received. They were all aware they would get one or the other, but weren't told which one they got. Everyone knew the ones that got the placebo would be invited back for a free procedure. I believe they did the same thing to me without my knowledge or consent. I don't have any proof and they know it. My advice is to do what I'm going to do going forward and stay away from this business. Go to another Regenexx facility at a minimum or a completely different provider altogether. Steve Koffeld

I worked with Dr. Daniel for about 2.5 years as I was getting sick too often with colds and flus…read more Instead of improving my immune system, it got dramatically worse and my overall health and fitness degraded a lot. Dr. Daniel did a lot of pricy and questionable testing and put me on 41 pills a day of either supplements or prescription medicine. I developed a concerning medical condition I'd never had before that made me feel sicker than ever, requiring me to stop eating many foods, and made me so fatigued, all I could do was lie on the couch most days for months. It was miserable. I finally got fed up with her after the second time she raised her prices significantly during the pandemic and fired her. I had spent tens of thousands of dollars on her appointments, testing and supplements. I immediately went off of everything she had prescribed and felt so much better within two weeks. My health has been just fine since I stopped following her advice 18 months ago. She may have a lot of five-star Yelp reviews but read them closely - few mention good medical outcomes from working with Dr. Daniel. That's because she gives her patients a discount on supplements in exchange for Yelp reviews which they write at the beginning of their treatment before they have any outcomes. This practice is unethical and should be illegal. Note to Dr. Daniel: When you attempt to rebut my review, be sure not to violate HIPAA.

Excellent doctor; disappointing practice…read more First of all, Dr. Daniel is extraordinary: extremely well-informed, profound, compassionate, and caring. Working with her had an incredibly positive effect on my health and well-being and I feel so grateful to have had the opportunity to work with her, and get back to optimal health. However, there have been recent changes to the practice that feel de-humanizing. Today, in the midst of a pandemic, I tried to log in to ask a question or make a short appointment, and was told my account was "inactive" as I had not had an appointment in a year. I called to see if I could ask Dr. Daniel, a doctor I really trust, a question or make an appointment, and Jason/Jonathan called me to tell me that I was no longer a patient, and the practice was not accepting new patients. I told him I'd been a patient since 2015, and asked him how I could make an appointment, or ask Dr. Daniel a question, and he said I would need to go online and read about my options, that who knows if I could be seen again, but that I might be a "level 2" or "level 3. " When I asked him what that meant, he said I should go online. As a longtime patient, a mother, and a scientist, I felt hurt and disrespected by this de-humanizing interaction. It seemed that the rug had been swept out from under my feet - I was booted from the practice because I felt well and hadn't had an appointment in a year. These new policies, and the interaction with Jason/Jonathan were the exact opposite of my previous experience with Dr. Daniels (warm, humanizing, caring). He left me with no other option than to seek other care.
