We love our home in Woodbourne, NY. We've lived here for only 6 months, but are happy with the…read morefollow-up service so far and confident about the 10 year warranty. Their carpenters Bruce and Sherry are amazing! They built everything from framing to kitchen install and trim work. We really enjoyed watching them work, and their creative solutions to things that came up during the build. Project manager Eva was onsite almost daily during busy times. She responded promptly to any questions, and is still doing so with questions that we have now. 5 stars for quality and staff. My 4 star is for timing. When we signed up with them the website said 6 months for a stick built. Ours went a year and a month beyond that. I believe they are telling folks a more realistic timeline now. We hadn't planned for it, so it left us in an apartment for far too long. Would we have gone with them knowing that? Probably, as quality is more important in the long run. Thank you all for a beautiful and functional home. Amanda W. April 2026.

In 2019 we purchased property and began the construction of a home that was to be our "forever home" as we retired to Sullivan County NY. I will provide updates as our home nears completion - but if you are looking for a quality, reliable builder - Martell is your answer. This builder is honest and maintains highly skilled craftsman for every stage of the building process!! Love working with this crew. The McSweeneys

JPR Contracting (a.k.a Joe/Joseph Bonnaci in Smallwood, Sullivan County, NY and Hankins, Sullivan…read moreCounty, NY) worked with me before: In 2018 to enclose a porch for a mudroom (framing, siding, door installation), in 2019 to repair rotted framing and residing. I engaged him again in early 2023 to demolish and rebuild a room which included excavation, concrete foundation, framing, etc. The first two projects went fairly smoothly and we had a friendly working relationship. The third project began late. Only demolition was completed, and a delay went on for several months (April through September) as he said his concrete subcontractor bailed on him. To make a long story short: Mr. Bonnaci could not find anyone to complete the work and stopped responding to any form of communication. He would not return the money I gave him to pre-purchase materials and other items and left me high and dry to find a new set of responsible contractors to complete the job. I do not recommend working with JPR Contracting / Joe Bonnaci. Photos of him attached for reference. Here's what I learned from the experience: - Be very careful when selecting a contractor as New York does not require them to be licensed with the State. - Be careful and VERY clear on terms when putting a deposit down to begin work. - Only pay more to your contractor for materials when you have a valid receipt for the purchase and/or have the actual materials in your possession - If a contractor does any sort of work but does not complete the job, you have no other recourse but to sue. If they just take your money and have done nothing, then you can have them arrested.

Took our money and did not do the work. Highly advise you avoid working with "JPR Contracting" and…read moreits sole worker, Joseph/Joe Bonnaci. Still trying to get my money and materials back.
