Home pro one of the most unprofessional companies I have ever dealt with. I have been involved in business for over thirty five years and I expect basic professionalism, respect and communication. Unfortunately that was not my experience. For five days, i had to deal with ongoing issues involving the project manager's behavior. The situation became so concerning that I felt compelled to contact the police. I found the communication to be disrespectful, confrontational, that was lacking in professionalism. And absolutely no respect to women. And I spoke to 2 different contractors, and they heard the same thing about the company The project manager behaved in a threatening manor while holding a hammer, which made me fear for my safety and the safety of my dog. Because of the situation, i called the police. This experience was completely unacceptable,And let me feeling intimidated. I needed emergency roof vents repaired because the water was coming into the attic from the rain. The wood was rotted and a total mess on the roof and inside the attic ceiling. Bill helped me Tremendously with my roof repair spoke to me with great empathy and understanding. We agreed on a price that my Mom who is 85 years old and I could afford. Our property management company recommended that I contact Home Pro Exteriors because I had a leak in our roof that needed attention. I made an appointment for a Wednesday morning, took a half day off of work, and waited. And waited. After an hour, when nobody showed up, I called the company and was told that there was no record of the appointment, and that someone would call me back by the end of the day to reschedule. No one called back, so I called the next day and scheduled another time for the next week. Like before, I took a half day off of work and waited. And waited. After 45 minutes, I called and was told that they were very busy and they would not come that day, and that someone would call me back by the end of the day to rescheduled. Of course, nobody called me back. So I lost two half days of work and I have nothing but a lousy experience with this company. At no point did they seem to think that I might be waiting, and if they were, actually, very busy, nobody could be bothered to call to tell me? Did they just expect me to wait all day? The people at this company are aggressive, rude, and harassing. I did not go with their quote of $88,000 for our pool deck. We laughed and laughed and still tell every contractor who comes onto our property about how if they're trying to scam someone, they should do a better job. They now claim I have omitted facts. Facts are as followed: 18x36 POOL DECK needed 1,000sq ft. deck. Quote should have been only for foundation and labor. Old deck was completely removed and disposed of at time of quote. Pool tarp covered pool. Pool in perfect condition, brand new liner, closed for the season and obviously not reopened with deck construction imminent. Temporary fence installed according to building department recommendations. They tell us $88k for a single level deck. WE ALREADY OWNED THE TREX TOPPING. Which they claimed was "warped, unusable, etc." LOL. The Trex has a life time warranty, it is currently topping my deck build by someone else. When partner expresses confusion at this person's sanity, Home Pro tells us: JUST FILL IN YOUR POOL and left. So we were told by neighbors to post a review warning people of someone who behaves like a scam artist. We were called relentlessly. Now, because I mentioned this experience on Facebook in my home town, this person has harassed me relentlessly, digging himself deeper and deeper, posting my private residence without consent. I asked for it to be removed multiple times and they refuse. Now they follow my review anywhere I go with threats that this is liable, after they insist they have the "right to defend their business." But everything they claim is untrue, bizarre, and intricate, and all so much effort when all they should do is leave us alone. Take our image down. Apologize. Move on. Hundreds of people already know from these reviews and their ridiculous responses that there is something extremely wrong with this company. Do you think people want their personal business on the internet? No. But here you are letting all your customers know that you're vengeful, prideful, and relentless. Instead of honest, fair, respectful. Trying to trick someone into WAY overpaying is not honest. Being rude to get rid of the job? Unclear what your purposes were. But $90k could get you as many levels in a deck as you wanted. As much debris as possible. Plus, maybe even 2 more decks. So as much as you tell your ridiculous tales....NONE OF IT MAKES ANY SENSE. I'm still enjoying my deck, enjoyed my in essence brand new pool this summer, and none of the renovations I've done including replace my roof, build a deck, taken down dozens of trees NONE OF THEM, EVEN TOTALED TOGETHER...cost me $88k. So just be quiet and take down our image. I took down my Facebook post because I felt it was enough. But your BS about me having bad character is a RIOT. I hired Home Pro to replace the windows on my 50's era home with some more energy-efficient ones. Kevin, their salesman, really didn't seem to know much about actual construction, but he was nice enough and I researched the window brand (provia) and they seemed like good windows. Their price was higher than my other two quotes, but not by very much, and they sold me on the principle "quality costs a little more". As I quickly learned, that was a joke! The work started weeks later than the date they gave me, and took it much longer than they estimated. They would show up on seemingly random days to work. The crew didn't speak english and left garbage everywhere (i'm still finding nails in my yard). When they finally finished I got hit with "extras." The worst part: the first time it rained after they had finished, I had multiple leaks in my house under the new windows. Ruined paint and some flooring. I called home pro several times, usually speaking to a guy named "Joe", who promised everything but delivered nothing. They never came back. And trust me, I tried. Joe would promise a day. They wouldn't come. He'd promise another day. Repeat. I eventually had to hire a handyman to fix the leaks, and he told me he could see that they cut corners left and right, so it was no surprise it was leaking. While making the repairs he even discovered that I had a leak in my attic (soggy insulation), where home pro screwed their scaffolding directly into my roof then didn't repair it afterwards. Everyone at Homepro that I encountered from the office staff to Bill and Joe were friendly, professional and easy to communicate with. They were not the cheapest estimate l got but keep in mind, you get what you pay for. Let's just say, Homepro's in my opinion was worth every penny. This is a follow up review. My special order door was installed today and the product and service was way above my expectations. The double door system with side lights was carefully installed without any surprises. It took over five hours and they even replaced the doorbell, door hardware and inside trim around the door perfectly. I have experienced other "professionals" who would put in doors that do not open or close properly, not level in any way, and / or with huge air gaps that you could drive a Mack truck through. This was not the case at all. The Provia door that I ordered, was of very high quality that could not be matched by the big box stores. Yes, it was expensive but you always get what you pay for. This company took over $20,000 from me that they required up front. They claim to be expensive but the best. They have come back 9 times by the admission of Billy the owner to correct their work. The company puts a new rubber roof on with yankee cooper gutters. The sodering has broken in the first round of weather. To repair the broken cooper seam, Joe (the other owner) allowed his employee to use clear caulk to seam up a crack he admits was caused by his employee. How do you caulk to seam cooper together? When I asked for money back. Billy told me he was just going to keep coming. He hasn't done a damn thing to correct his error!!! Oh he got paid up front $20,000!!! Joe and Bill waited almost two months to do the work when it started getting cold. DON"T use them!!! They are not loyal and responsible!!! read more
