Unfortunately, I have to leave a not-so-great review. I have always loved to support the students and schools. I have been going to them since I was a college student. I have always had great experiences with all of them. Unfortunately, I have been to this location at least 4 times with my daughter, and every time we had to go get it redone by a professional. I have another chance a couple of times due to knowing they are students and that's the chance you take. Today my daughter went for a haircut and I'm not sure what in the world happened she asked for a trim and for the worst botched job I will most likely have to cut her hair all the way to above her shoulders just to make it even. She is not thrilled about it. At this point, I must say it is definitely in the teachings and not enough guidance or overlooked by the student's instructors. It's very unfortunate. read more

I can't believe I did not discover this place sooner. From my first conversation with the front desk manager Taylor and her kind demeanor and professionalism. She was super patient as I was trying to book times and coordinate it with my work schedule. Then the first thing I did here was get a facial with Samantha. It was so relaxing and I even fell asleep and my skin looked beautiful for days. I was so impressed.I booked a hair color and cut. Eva was assigned to me for a cut and color. I got compliments right away and I have to really thank Cheyenne for also spending time with me giving me ideas for next time when I want to get highlights. I went in for a haircut. I had pictures of the front and back of what I was wanting. I came out looking like a 6 year old cut my hair. I realize they are all learning. Normally I use BA Beauty college. Their shampoo chairs suck. I am short and they had no foot stool available so I was in a horrible position. They have no hand mirrors to check the back of your hair. They took a picture and showed it to me. This is the worst hair cut I have ever had in my life. There are hunks of hair so short it is less than an inch long, The left side looks like it is a fade the right side is a good 4 inches. Do not go there. That school needs to be shut down. read more

I recently got a balayage from my natural brown to rose gold here. It turned out stunning! The prices are great. It did take longer than expected to bleach my hair but only because I have very thick corse curly hair and my stylist really wanted to make sure it was done right. She went above and beyond make sure I left feeling great and got me scheduled in a very timely manner to come back for my haircut since we didn't have enough time in one session. I am grateful for her attention to detail. I will absolutely go back! read more

If they get your hair Wrong, You still Pay! Have utilized the services with this school for years, always satisfied. Last visit wanted ombre....only got few highlights and a lady that never introduced herself & complained entire time, she was tired and hungry. Very unpleasant experience. Left with wet, not styled hair. I called in to share the difficulties. They took my info, called back no questions asked just told they were going to do a "re-do" but when I arrive I'm told that I was responsible for payment. Decent place to come, especially on Thursdays when treatments are half off. I made an appointment with a specific person and I get there they say oh she has another client. So Bethany be careful when you schedule appointments, IJS! I liked my hair but the stylist put gel on my edges and it was sticky and flaked up the very next day. I had to wash it out, which defeated the purpose of me getting my hair done in the first place. When I was getting my Awapui treatment my stylist was nt sure of the directions. I asked her to wash my hair before she put the treament on. She didn't know, I think she had to go ask someone. If they are on the floor they should at least know the simple directions. read more

The worst school I've ever been to. Don't pay the extra $$$ just because of the name, go to tech or a much cheaper school. You learn the same things, probably even more. The teachers are in the students drama, and vice versa. I never felt safe here. Once they have your money, you aren't important to them anymore. Worst hair cut I've ever had! I needed a pixie cut, (really short), it took over 2 hours. I had to let it grow out & go somewhere else to have them straighten it out. I tried to be patient, because I knew she was learning, but even her teacher was useless. Be prepared to sit there a long time, & make sure you have someone that know's what their doing standing by. This place rocks and at this place Michaela C does an OUTSTANDING job!! She cut and colored my hair. I gave her an idea of what I was hoping to achieve (I wasn't even sure what I wanted). She listened and then creatively came up with the perfect color and cut. She is very meticulous and concientious. She is definitely my new hair stylist! I would highly recommend her. It may take a bit longer because they are learning, but it's worth it. I come back every month for the wash house hair treatment where my scalp gets the best massage ever. Great instructors, student was excellent. Very impressed. Radio was my stylist. She was awesome.

My wife thought she would save some money and scheduled an appointment for 10:00 a.m. today at the Paul Mitchell Cosmetology School in Tulsa. Despite only wanting a trim and a hair color, she did not get out of the school until 2:00 p.m. When she did finally escape, she called me in tears because the student (her hair dresser) had abandoned her for hours. Moreover, the student was left unsupervised by any faculty--until my wife grabbed the attention of one. As a result, my wife was left sitting with the color unrinsed in her hair for three hours. Now, much like her hair, her scalp is black. When she complained to a supervisor, she was simply told to "wash it out." Adding insult to injury, she was charged $100 for the assault and battery. Ironically, my wife could have gotten the royal treatment from a salon on Brookside for only $60 more. We can expect nothing ourselves in the way of restitution from the butchers at Paul Mitchell, but hopefully we can save another potential victim. I understand that Paul Mitchell is running a school, but this school treats it patrons like lab rats. DO NOT WASTE YOUR MONEY OR YOUR SELF-ESTEEM ON THIS DUMP. read more

Very, very disappointed in this school. My daughter went there to get her hair changed from medium brown to blonde on top phased into dark brown on bottom. While the bottom turned out good, the top is YELLOW/ORANGE. I understand that this can happen sometimes when going back to blonde but what I am disappointed in is the way she was treated after. She was charged $90 the day of the service. I called the salon the next day, explained to them that her hair was a yellow/orange color and was told as long as she came back within a week, they would fix it. So we made an appt for 3 days later. She went in, they looked at it and said they would not put any more bleach on it because it would damage it and told her they could do a conditioning treatment and then come back in 4 weeks and they would try to fix it (4 weeks later, they would have to charge again to fix it). She called me very upset, I told her to let them put the conditioner in and then we would just have to go to another salon to get it fixed. So they did and when she got up to leave, they told her she owed another $19 for the conditioner!!! She refused to pay it and told them that she would not be back. Now we have to pay someone to fix their mistake and that will be very costly. My daughter is a Sr in high school and is taking her Sr pictures next week so you can imagine how devasted she is. My problem was not with the initial mistake, it was that they did not want to fix it without continually charging more money. I hate to think that they are teaching their students that this is the way to treat clients because they will not have any clients if they continue to treat people in this manner. read more

Horrible. Worst hair experience of my life. I'm a male with long hair, 13 inches from scalp. I wanted just a trim... The worst uneven haircut I have ever had. She shaved 2 inches into my scalp from my hair line and now it is an inch long and I look stupid. The teachers hair was disgusting and I couldn't believe the lack of professionalism from the two instructors I encountered. They argued behind me with the student on what to do with my hair. It took her an hour to give me a horrible haircut. My girlfriend went to see a previous classmate and let her do her hair at pm. My gf straight up told her if what she wanted was to difficult to not even attempt it and she would just do trim and highlights... She was at pm for 5 HOURS. Her hair looked nothing like the picture she brought in and they charged her 2 times what she was supposed to pay because the student was told to use one developer and it was the incorrect one so the other teacher made her use a different one, she mixed 2 extra bowls of color and completely threw one away unused. My gf being sweet paid and tipped really well. She complained a week later and they offered to have the girl who messed her hair up, to fix it. She denied that offer because she didn't want her hair ruined even more. The teachers seem uneducated and were very immature during both our services. Half the students wee dressed like a gothic strip club and were not professional looking what so ever. I would not ever recommend this salon to anyone, pay more to go to a professional that knows what they are doing. read more
