Paul Revere Park is one of the best places for photographing the Leonard P. Zakim Bunker Hill Memorial Bridge. Especially for night scenes, lots of spots in the park offer great views. It is suitable for walking and jogging during summer nights to relax. It is also an excellent place for hanging out and getting rid of work and pressure on Friday afternoon for people working around. Since the park is next to downtown Boston, it may not be always easy for parking. read more

So I went to the park yesterday after finding it here on Yelp!.... It was a nice place and had a Beautiful View, but the park itself (And by that I mean Playground) was too grown up for my little one - North Point on the other side of the bridge is just the best for the little one... The parking here is skim, but its not acutal spaces so you can kinda just make your spot as you go... The paths are all over the place & like I mentioned it is a Beautiful view... Just the playground will have to wait another year for us to visit it! read more

This was a cute park right by the hotel I was staying at. It was cute, and clean, and really nice to walk through. When I was doing my evening walk, there were people strolling with kids, and with their dogs. It was very peaceful and calm. Great for a sunset walk. read more

The park was beautiful by design and there were parts of it that were absolutely beautiful! However, there were also parts that were unclean and unkept. There is a fantastic playground there that is large and very fun for the kids, however it was run down, with graffiti on some of it, holes in the pavement underneath and chipping paint in the equipment. Additionally there was a dead rat underneath the bench near the gate. It was in plain sight and it was the cause for our departure from the playground although my girls were having a great time. Additionally, on the outside of the fenced in playground there was trash, empty beer cans, empty vodka containers, graffiti on the walls and the worst was about 20 feet away was a decaying carcass of an unknown animal that smelled disgusting and it was surround with used drug needles. I was very disappointed how close this all was to the playground. The park itself was beautiful but the playground and area around the playground was anything but. read more

How has this not been reviewed? Weird. It's a really pretty park. You should walk through the locks to get here - that's like a bunch of creaky walkways over channels in the river, you know what I mean? It's kindof like those hay mazes you used to go in as a kid, in that it looks like it's supposed to be a maze but it's really easy to not get lost in it. Hay mazes are great for trying to get alone with that one girl so you can make out with her but then it turns out she doesn't like you that way. And then when you come out of the locks you walk by this "interactive music maker" which is a bunch of pipes that you can whack with mallets. I tried to make "interactive music" with Jackie, but she wouldn't do it because I said "Hey Jackie, let's make beautiful interactive music together" and after that she said she didn't really want to be near me anymore. You can only reach two pipes at a time so that's kindof lame but it's pretty cool to whack things with mallets, so it works out. The park itself has a nice green area where you can sit around playing with other people's dogs and explaining to Lucie's friend from Saskatchewan how the only thing you know about Saskatchewan is that if you eat the flesh of another human you're cursed to wander the forests forever as the dreaded Wendigo. She said she'd never even heard of that. It's a good thing she met me before she tried eating anybody. Amazing how some people can be so naive, right? There's a playground that looks okay but I didn't go in because there were real children in there and children kinda creep me out. There's parking, I guess, although I didn't try that. And it looks right out over the river. Really, it's a pretty nice place. The only reason I'm not giving it five stars is they didn't have any beer there, which is a recurring problem with parks. read more

We regularly walk our dogs to Revere Park to run and play. The area is well off from the very busy roads and is perfectly safe to turn your dog loose in. I've never seen any problems with dogs, behaviorally or otherwise here. Yes, dogs relieve themselves here, but I've also never seen something be left by an owner... even if they have to bum a baggie from another person. It's not easy to get to, but there is some parking (10 cars?). There's a kiddie playground with the rubbery surface for the kids. IMPORTANT note, there is NO WORKING water fountain near here, best I can tell. There is one in the kids' area, but it isn't turned on... so bring water for your dog!! read more

Nice dog park! Dog owners seem to pay attention to their dogs while socializing. Even respectful when my dog really wants to fetch and hangs out on the periphery. After it rains it is super muddy. When it's nice out there is a fountain in the nice kids playground where you can fill up a bowl. Just be careful there aren't a bunch of dogs following you so as not to intimidate the kids who them scare the dogs. Sorelle is nearby for coffee and lunch so it's a fun place to bring the dog! P.s. Only a little parking if you're driving. And Friday nights there are sometimes social gatherings. read more

I walk through this park at least once a week either to or from work and I adore it. Not only is it a shortcut over the locks through the park to Charlestown, but you don't have to deal with the exhaust from cars, trucks, and buses driving into Boston. The "Bells of Charlestown" are unfortunately half dead, but I remember the song each time I walk by those silly gongs looking at the Zakim from an angle most people don't get to see. The park also provides space for kids to play in a pretty sweet looking playground and a huge area for dogs to run around in and have fun. Every time I've been through, the dogs have been kept under control and have only been focused on having a good time. read more

I am usually a passerby, so I can't really rate it. By the looks, it is a good park with a big playground with a giant slide set. Definitely good for the dogs with a giant green circle of grass. The grass area is good enough to host a small concert. The park is located next to the State Police Marine and under the Zakim bridge. The park is connected to the Marriott hotel, North station (thru the water channel locks), and a foot bridge to Cambridge. The only downfall is no parking lot. Came here with my dog for a golden doodle meet up. All the dogs were well behaved and owners acting responsibly. It is not fenced in so you do have to keep a close eye. There is parking and great views of the Zakim! read more

It's a nice park, but..... I'm not sure why people refer to it as a dog park. There is no fenced in area for dogs to run around in, which is pretty much the defining characteristic of a dog park. Therefore, if you bring your dog here and you let them off leash, it's really at your own peril that they don't run away... Not ideal for puppies at all... read more

Popular place for Charlestown dog romps. Good social scene for the owners, which unfortunately creates the problem that a lot of people don't watch their dogs. Nothing is more annoying than someone else's dog jumping all over you, and the owner paying absolutely no attention. Or, from 25 yards away, the owner shouts "Muffy, stop jumping!", then resumes conversation with friends. It's not fenced in, so make sure Fido doesn't bolt for the parking lot. No water fountain either. And did I mention that people don't watch their dogs? All in, convenient to Charlestown but not my favorite dog park. read more

This park would be a super nice place to play catch or kick around if people actually kept an eye on their dogs and didn't let them tear up all the turf, relieve themselves all over the place and do other things that turn the green into a massive dustbowl every year. read more
