Pickins are slim in Iowa, but I can confidently say I would choose Dr. Roewe over all other oral surgeons out there. I have a long, complicated dental history and have been coming to Dr. Roewe for years. He is so flexible with my schedule (multiple weekend appointments; he even came in on Christmas when I had an emergency) and willing to patiently explain the situation/his treatment plan and rationale. The nurses are all quite friendly and even though getting your mouth sliced open is probably pretty high on everyone's list of a crappy day, everyone does their best to make you happy and comfortable and experience a successful surgical outcome.

I came into his office for the appointment after a few delays due to me having a mild case of pneumonia. As the anesthesiologist inserted the needle and I started to slip into unconsciousness, I was watching American Hoggers, a reality TV show about wild hog hunters in Texas. I was rendered unconscious within what seemed like 10 seconds after the drugs took effect. I momentarily woke up in his office and the wisdom teeth were extracted. There was one very mild complication with one of the teeth, which removed some of the skin. But he stitched the roots accordingly. I've also learned that my mom had the same oral surgeon when she got her wisdom teeth taken out. Overall, the procedure went very well, and to be honest, it was actually kind of fun (I was very out of it coming out of the anesthesia). Final grade: 4/5 (80%)

With his knowledge and guidance, I determined the best course of action for my spine pain and compressed nerves was to proceed with surgery. After surgery, I felt immediate relief from the pain I had been dealing with for several years. I definitely recommend Dr. Pelinkovic for spine care. I received a bill from Forefront for $740 after my appointment even though this appt should have been fully covered by my insurance carrier. Turns out, the reception/front desk inputted my name incorrectly which caused the claim to be denied. I had to make several calls to Forefront and my insurance company to correct this mistake. My husband also has an appt coming up so I wanted to ensure that his name was spelled correctly. When I called the billing dept at Forefront, they said his name should be correct. When I asked them to double check, his name was in fact spelled incorrectly. This means that we would have received another huge bill due to this mistake. Anyway, we will continue to see Dr. Parish, but it's important for the front desk/reception to be more diligent so as to avoid prolonged billing mishaps for the patient.

I have stage 4 renal disease, and had to go for a pre employment drug screening. While I amy look…read morerelatively normal, I am actually pretty sick. I made the appointment, and on the day of, I made it a point to be polite to the staff. I walked in and the front desk person was on the phone. I waited at a respectful distance, until she was ready for me. A massage therapist came out of the back, looked at me like I was scum and ignored me. The other woman finished her call and rudely asked what I was there for. I handed over my i.d. and paperwork, which she rudely snatched out of my hand and told me to "sit over there and don't touch anything", so I sat down and waited. I was called back to the bathroom by a staff member who was just as rude as the other two, and woukd not give me the chance to explain that I am in renal failure and while I had been chugging water, I have no control over my urine output or frequency, but the woman sighed and acted like I was lying or something. I gave the sample but it was not enough. I offered to try again when I could but was told "we don't have time for that!". Overall I felt humiliated by the treatment I received, and by being dismissed by the staff as if I were somehow 'less than'. I will NEVER go there as a patient and am looking for some place else to do my drug test! ​
