JD Heating promptly returned my call and showed up within 30 minutes. A part needed to be replaced and as it was Sunday he had to wait until Monday morning. He called promptly at 7am to tell me he had picked up the part and would be there shortly. After a freezing cold night I was so elated he kept his word and the heat was back on in no time at all. He cleaned out 30 feet of our kitchen piping that had caused both sinks to back up and stop draining (okay, I put too much of the wrong stuff in the garbage disposal the night before). Problem solved in about an hour. Then I asked him to check the laundry room drain that had been intermittently slightly backing up. Again, problem solved! Our contractor selected Ace HVAC out of Princeton MN for the installation of an entire system for…read moreour new house in Chanhassen. This system includes infloor hot water heat as well as forced air furnace and AC. They were the first contractor there and had complete control for locating all of these systems. What a disaster! In the utility room they located the boiler across the room from the hot water manifiolds so they encircled the entire room with 2" copper tubing to reach the manifolds. No other system, hot water heater, softener, sink can be located near the walls because of the hot copper piping. The gas lines are a tangle of bent copper tubing. They installed a 3 ton AC system in a 4000ft2 while other companies recommend 5 ton. Absolutely the worst planning we have ever encountered for an HVAC system, a total lack of workmanship in the sytem layout and configuration. Please choose a different company for your HVAC project! These people are real hacks!
