My babies like D. He is so good with them. He takes time with them and does a great job.

My dog has been going here since we first got him as a puppy, so we have taken him there 3-4 times. Every time he comes out with missed areas that were not properly shaved and/or trimmed. Three times now it's been his neck hair left long, but this time the hair behind his ears were completely different lengths. One was trimmed and the other was long and clearly not trimmed properly. They lack attention to detail and that's not worth the $65+ price tag. I will not be returning. They got a star for friendliness at least of the front desk staff, but overall haven't had a great experience with them. read more

Amongst all of the reviews I have seen I had an absolutely perfect visit!! I called today Thanksgiving eve at 11am*and they sure enough got me in for an appointment for my shorkie Dior at 12! They were quick around 1 hour 30 mins, she looks gorgeous the cut is perfect, she was happy and the price was perfect as well ($60, I tipped $15) Amber was my groomer for Dior today and she had no complaints even though I was scared since my dog is not accustomed to people. This was my first ever coming into Pauline's Pet Styling. I came to pick up a dog for my mother. (for context he is still a puppy, barely 9months old) i asked if he was ready and if I could pay for his grooming. I was told it should have been a certain price and it wasn't. I simply asked why it was more because it was different than what I expected. But I was very rudely told by the man at the counter that it was because the dog was difficult and that's why it took longer and was more expensive. Which, if that's actually the case, fine, not every dog is perfect with strangers cutting their fur and nails- but the attitude and the condescending remarks were completely unnecessary and uncalled for. Especially with this being the very first time I had ever even interacted with the staff, as I was just doing my mother a favor, I can see why the dog would be deemed "difficult" since the attitude and atmosphere of the staff is very negative and I'm sure the dog picks up on that. I would 10/10 NOT recommend this groomer for your fur baby. Especially if they're still a puppy. Take the time to go somewhere else. If I could give a 0 star rating, I would. read more

Updated Review: I brought my pup in for his normal grooming and they hurt my poor baby. He was acting weird all day and finally we looked under a bright light and were mortified. Not only did she give him this awful looking cut where his legs weren't trimmed but she shaved him so close in places that she nicked him. And cut his nub so bad that you can see where the blood has clotted. I won't ever bring him back after this. Still love this place, but her nails drive me crazy! She is groomed every 5 weeks yet most nails are fine, but 2 or 3 on her front paws. Maybe there is a reason these grow faster then others? She's so happy to see me when I pick her up and looks so cute, I never think to examine her paws. Still a great groomer. read more

Just called to make an appointment for 3 Dogs- all under 10 pounds. They want a $50 deposit which is fine but the quote for the dogs is 75-95 per dog for a regular grooming. These dogs get groomed every 4-5 weeks and are in great condition. $75-$95 PER DOG IS INSANE!!!!! read more

Never again! We've used Pauline's with groomer Amber several times with very good results. But, this last time we were 10 minutes late. My wife apologized, but Amber was very snotty and rude to her. Because we were late, Amber said our pup would only get a bath, no grooming (cut, trim, nails, ears etc). We hoped Amber could make up the time and trim the pup up, but not so. Someone else brought the pup out to us (not Amber), and it was plain to see that she only got a bath. In other words, it wasn't a good job. Worse yet, we were charged $45 for the bath! Unacceptable for a little 10 lb Shih Tzu who visits the groomer every 3 weeks or less. There was no offer of scheduling a revisit to finish the complete grooming. The bow Amber put in our pup's hair fell out within 30 minutes. We resent Amber's poor attitude and lack of customer service, which seems to be acceptable to this company's ownership. We made an appointment for 3 days later at another grooming company to have a proper grooming, so Pauline's was a complete waste of money, as we have to redo the bath. So, never again. I have to say, I was super excited when I found this salon because it was much more convenient and closer to my home. I also love to support local businesses. I called a few places and was quoted on the price of the service I wanted. Paulines told me $70. To secure my reservation I would need to give a credit card over the phone and prepay $50 for the appointment. OK fair, completely understandable being a new customer. But what bothered me was the fact that I did ask the groomer to please cut her hair very short (my dog is a 45 lb straight hair goldendoodle. She is fluffy and gets hot). I showed her a few pictures. She told me "no" because she did not like it that way; as if she was paying and proceeded to talk me out of it. So I said, okay, a bath, blow dry, and a light hair cut is ok. When I picked up my dog, the lady at the front charged me an extra $80 (on top of my deposit) because they added on extras I DID NOT ASK FOR and was NOT made aware of so therefore DID NOT approve. Being a college student and very tight on money, this made me very upset. I did keep my cool and left with my dog. That is absolutely no way to treat a customer. I asked for an explantation on even the services they added on and she could not explain (not bashing the front desk because maybe communication between groomer and front desk was unclear so she didn't know). On top of that, they trimmed around my dogs face and it looked like she was wearing a helmet; She looked like a grandma with a terrible across the face haircut. My friends renamed her "Betty" or as others said "Coconut Head" from a tv show called "Ned's Declassified". I had to fix it myself and I have 0 grooming experience. So if you'd like to leave your dog with dishonest people that will WAY OVER charge (told $70 and was charged $130) and give the dog a hair cut so they can audition for Golden Girls, by all means go to Paulines. If not, AVOID AVOID AVOID! I was not happy when I left the salon. read more

Very poor service. Booked grooming for my Australian Shepherd. Was supposed to bath, blow dry, brush and clip nails. When I picked him up, they had bathed and blown dry, but the groomer said he kept "falling off" her table so she didn't brush or clip his nails. That would have been acceptable had they reduced the price accordingly, but $85 (with tip) for just a bath and blow dry is not good customer service. I will never take him there again and I do not recommend to any pet owner. And they had the nerve to give me a $5 off nail clipping coupon for future? Pauline has been grooming my dogs for over 20 years when she had her mobile service. When I took my Goldendoodle, Sandi in on January 29th I was told Pauline was no longer there which totally caught me off guard. Then I was also told the fee would increase from $75 to $100. I was also told my Yorkie, Maggie would increase from $50 to $65 - Really?! After consulting with Erica on Sandi's cut (which was NO different than all other appointments) I was told Amber would groom Sandi. When they called to tell me Sandi was ready, I was told I would receive a $10 refund because she did not look "show dog" ready. I spoke with the new owner and told her I did not appreciate not being told when they called to confirm the appointment that Pauline had left OR the price increase. She insisted I must have been told. My son had to pick up Sandi because we had gone down to the Images art show in New Smyrna. He called me to say she had a "rat tail" and did not look good. Needless to say, when we got back home she was a total mess. Her tail was shaved down with no hair and chunks of hair were missing or uneven. Amber never did her hears or feet. I was so upset over the weekend and due to the new Owner's attitude, I decided to take her to 2 other groomers for their opinion. They just shook their head in disbelief. I should have gone back to Pauline's and demanded a refund, but I decided to change groomer's instead. Very SAD read more

After moving back to the area from Atlanta, I was in need of a good, reliable groomer. I asked my friends on Facebook where to take my dogs and every single one of them said Pauline's. I definitely wasn't disappointed. Kathy is the best! She is always so kind and professional, and always remembers me when I call or come in. They even made me a handmade ornament with my dog's name on it at Christmas time. I have two Doodles (a schnoodle and goldendoodle) and I am very particular on their haircuts. Every time I've brought them to Pauline's, I've left completely satisfied. They've always followed my instructions and every haircut has always turned out great. The prices are reasonable, considering the excellence in grooming. The only downside to Pauline's is the wait time. If you're trying to get an appointment on a weekend, you have to make one weeks in advance. I'm a working professional and am unable to come by during the week so I'm limited with my schedule. Although this is frustrating, the long waiting list shows that they really are that good. Occasional Sunday hours or staying open later on Saturdays would be nice. In October 2014 I picked up my dog from Pauline's Pet Styling to find my dog had been wounded. When I asked Christina, the groomer, about it she said it was because Pauline changed the time she had to groom my dog from 75 minutes to 60 minutes and that was the best she could do in her allotted time. I called to make an appointment and was pleased with the level of service received. The receptionist was attentive and personable. I did play phone tag a bit which was a bit of an inconvenience. Our initial appointment was unexpectedly cancelled and the next one wasn't until two weeks away. The busy schedule is a bit of an inconvenience but a blessing for them. As far as the grooming it was reasonably priced and done well and thorough. My pup isn't the easiest to work with but I did see a few closer uneven shaves then experienced with his prior groomer in Ft. Pierce. Certainly worth a shot. read more

We can't say enough nice things about this grooming business. All the groomers are kind and gentle with the dogs and they do excellent work. Our Shih-Tzu has always loved coming here, it has been a special treat for her. Pauline groomed our dogs when she had her mobile truck...Back 15 years ago. Our dogs absolutely loved her and we loved her grooming. When she moved to her own place, we continued to go to her salon ..It has been at least 8 plus years now. She has a tremendous following and with good reason. We have Karla and Christina take care of our dogs and they both do an excellent job. The entire staff is very, very caring. Laura and Kathy at the front desk are the best! Our family has a goldendoodle named Buddy. I am no expert on grooming but was tired of other groomers nicking him and giving him bad razor burn. Pauline's was the only groomer out there with great reviews. Most groomers had no reviews. Buddy had a great experience and no razor burn. My little schnauzer had gotten a really bad haircut at another groomer. The lady had totally trimmed off all his mustache and gave him a very blotched haircut. I cried when I picked him up. After 2 months of growing his hair back out, I took him to Pauline's who was highly recommended by whoever I asked. Pauline greets you herself which is very nice. Kathy at Pauline's was wonderful. She loves to groom schnauzers and it showed. She was very kind to us both and trimmed his hair back in to a schnauzer cut. He did not have to sit in a cage for 4 hours as Petco said would happen there. The apt was on time and I picked him up in 1 hr and 15 min just as they said. No one is asking me what kind of dog he is now as they know he's a champion schnauzer. Thank you Kathy! read more

Each time my dog has been here his cut has had a different problem. I've tried lion cuts and just trimming him but either way I ask for it to be cut the instructions aren't followed. Several times he has come back with pieces longer than others. I would have to even them out myself read more

My dogs hair was in bad shape. It's been probably 9 or 10 months since I last took him in to Pauline's and I was embarrassed it had just gotten out of control. I had been trying to help him but I get scarred cutting his hair and am afraid I will hurt him. So, I finally get my income tax and save enough to get him taken care of and a nice 35% tip for the groomer. When I call, I tell them his hair is in really bad shape and am apologizing. When I get there, I am embarrassed and am apologizing because I know its in bad shape. When the groomer comes out, I tell her I am sorry I just want her to do what she can for him..... So, I go and pick him up and am so excited because I know he is going to feel really good. Unfortunately, they felt they needed to keep all the hair so they can show me what a terrible pet owner I am and embarrass me further. I am thinking to myself, ok I guess I deserved that public humiliation in front of my kids and the other people in there. So I tell her again.... I know, I am sorry! But that's not enough for her. Then, she has the nerve to tell me that I should get rid of my dog!! UNBELIEVABLE!! How very condescending of you!! I felt bad enough before I went in there.. you didn't need to rub my nose in it! I have a small maltishu that is my baby. I love Pauline's. When you make an appointment, they are on time, you can watch through a window and your dog is ready in one hour. Very polite people and all the groomers appear to love dogs. I wouldn't take my pet to someone that would keep him more than the amount of time that it takes to groom ONLY him. Pauline's was recommending to me from a friend. I took a yorkie mix there before xmas. He came back scratching like crazy (not fleas). I had asked that he be shaved since he was fairly matted. He came back with his face uneven. Bald spots and as stated scratching everywhere. He was extremely dry. When I asked my friend, she said, "oh, my dogs scratch for days afterwards". Well it's been just about a week now and I've not seen anything like it. For an extra 10 dollars (above normal grooming prices) and a cute ornament (plus the tip) for a 10 pound dog, it's definately not worth the price. I got there at 9:00 am the first appointment of the day and could barely walked through the door. Tiny place and I really wonder about the sanitation. I'll go elsewhere in the future. read more

my dog is 4 years old and has been going to paulines since he was 8 weeks old. i have advised him numerous times that he has a floating rib and cannot be picked up around his body. i also informed the owner on a recent visit that shadow had been attacked by a dog and has been badly bruised and had an amputation of one of his toes as a result of this attack, and that this was the first time being groomed since the attack. when i picked him up she said that he was an angel and no problems grooming him. i brought him in on the 15th of this month for his normal 6 week grooming, and was informed that the woman who groomed him for a few groomings was back from maternity leave and she would be grooming him. she knew of shadows issues so i didnt think i needed to explain them again. she asked it i wanted him groomed the usual way and i said yes, and was instructed to come back in an hour. when i came back shadow wasnt ready, which was unusual because in the past he was always finished when i came to pick him up. i started to hear a dog crying and asked if that was my dog, they checked in the back and i was told that he would be out in a minute that they were justt fnishing up. i waited another ten minutes and no dog, so again i inquired and again brought up that i heard a dog screaming now, they said they would check. i decided to check for myself and so i looked into the back through the glass door and saw the groomer doing something to his tail, and another groomer on top of him with her arms around his body holding him down and he was in fact the dog that was screaming.let me tell you at this time that shadow weighs all of 10 pounds. i told them at the desk to get my dog now, when they brought him out he was shaking, his tail looked like a dust mop and i just wanted to get him out of there. i called when i got home to talk to the owner because i was quite upset with the way he was handled and the way he looked. she was not available and i was told she would call back, which she did about two hours later. she told me that shadow was finicky and thats why the grooming took so long and that if i was upset with what had happened i had two choices, i could request another groomer the next time or find another establishment to take him to. not at any time did she offer an apology, or for me to bring him in in a few days and she would correct what he looked like. she basically dismissed what i told her, and so after 4 years i was quite upset that she could be so dismissive. i guess when you have alot of clients making your customers happy is a thing of the past. read more
