I assume that the revocation…read moreof his medical license was "for life" but just in case Bergstrom is ever allowed to practice medicine again, I'm posting this quote from the January 25, 2013 "Monterey County Herald" "Immediately after the conviction, Bergstrom gave up his medical license in California...just as California's Medical Board took steps to revoke his license because of the case." "The board cited several additional reasons for the revocation based on audio recordings of Bergstrom, including jailhouse phone calls that indicated he was practicing medicine while in Monterey County Jail." "According to court records, Bergstrom once inadvertently left a dictation machine running in his office that recorded him offering to sell cocaine or trade it for sex. He admitted at trial that he traded prescription drugs for cocaine." At one point, Bergstrom was my elderly parents' doctor. Bergstrom did not have the patience to care for geriatric patients. Bergstrom may have been good with tall, thin, young, leggy blonde gals BUT I cannot recommend him for senior citizens.

I was very impressed when I receive Dr. Saito's letter explaining about my health when she first transferred to work with the Montage in Carmel because the clinic has very limited a period of times to see a patient. Dr. Saito has always tried to do her very thorough diagnosis work for her patients disregarding the very limited time policy of the clinic.

I am 86 and didn't think I really had a chance to have any breast problems. But went to the Breast Center and had a mammogram and a lump was discovered. Biopsied and malignant. Because the lump was small and discovered early, I didn't need Chemo, just radiation. I had that for 5 days and was done. I have never heard of this, but I wanted to understand. I asked questions, asked for clarification, tried to get numbers to go with the protocol. Probably was on the phone less than 5 minutes. The receptionist became irritated and said OMG not under her breath. I feel that was unkind and uncalled for.

After waiting an hour, and taking someone in-front of me they finally told me they couldn't take my blood and that I needed to go to the hospital instead. It was frustrating because they clearly knew ahead of time that they wouldn't be able to do it, yet still had me wait all that time. (I had also brought paperwork day prior to ask if thelabs could be processed there and they said yes) The lab techs didn't seem too concerned about the inconvenience, which was disappointing. That said, I want to highlight the woman at the front desk - she was absolutely wonderful. As I was walking out, she kindly explained that she had already entered me into the system. Her professionalism and kindness really stood out, especially compared to the rest of the staff.

Dr. Ohlsen was instrumental in discovering that I have an auto-immune disease. I did not have the traditional symptoms of the condition, so this was no easy task. I think she spent part of her weekend to research everything. I know that we all see things through a different perspective. I have recommended Dr. Ohlsen to friends and have never had one of them tell me that they had other than a positive experience.
