My experience with John Luedke: John Remodeling and Handyman was a total waste of time and money…read more It has been over a year since he said he was going to refund the $2,250. he was paid for material/labor for a series of small jobs which he never even started. When called, he says it's the wrong number. When someone goes to his address, they are told he doesn't live there. John is not listed as State certified or having any insurance or bonding. In my case, he responded to complaints via e-mail with reasons why he didn't purchase material or do the jobs, however he never made any effort to actually do the work or refund my money. He also damaged my J channels instead of doing the small gutter modification and sealing he was paid to do. Because John's "work" was leaking 60 gal. during the first rain after HIS "repair" I had to pay a roofer to actually solve the very small problem. No one could figure out what John was attempting to do up there. They could see nothing of any benefit at all. I would have to give John Luedke a rating of ZERO. I would not trust him with a pooper scooper. 00000.

We had a specific plan that was a bit "outside the box" from what the typical customer is looking for in design and foliage. Our goal was to use only unique native Wisconsin plants that came from nearby nurseries to reduce our carbon footprint, without any shrubs, bushes or evergreens. Also, wanted species that would thrive without the use of chemical fertilizers or herbicides. The representatives from the first 3 landscaping companies that came to look at the project seemed confused and unsure on what we were trying to accomplish. Then we came upon Eco Harmony! I mentioned to Mike that we love to explore the trails at Schlitz Audubon Nature Center and were going for that type of vibe. He followed up with a plan and design we loved. Aside from coming up with a design that matched our vision, what really impressed us was how Mike went out of his way to meet with us at less than convenient hours. I typically don't get home from work until 8PM. Mike met with us several times in the later evening to finalize plans. His patience and easy going approach were much appreciated as well. During a tree service at my home on 3/21/25, Dorshak crew knowingly operated a bucket truck with an…read moreactive hydraulic fluid leak. This is a dangerous petroleum product that causes immediate permanent asphalt damage, environmental damage, and is extremely dangerous to people and animals. This resulted in a chemical spill up and down my 280'x12' driveway, onto to the road in front of my house, as well as a constant drip from where the truck was housed to my home (statute below). This incident has left deep-set stains (permanent) and potholes that need to be professionally repaired. Initially I had it cleaned enough to keep the oil from tracking into my house and to protect people and animals. This oil will cause immediate burns if touched and can be fatal if ingested. I was on-site and called their office to report the truck was leaking oil onto my driveway. The foreman told me they put cardboard under the truck where parked to "contain the oil". They did not leave my property when reported but continued to work which increased the amount of oil spilled onto my driveway. I took pictures up and down my driveway and asked the foreman to do the same, which he did. Mr. Dorshak called me early the next morning to send a crew to "clean it up" admitting liability but failed to report the spill which by state statute is mandatory. I needed special equipment and handling or the asphalt could be totally destroyed. From the date of the incident to present, the stains and potholes are up the middle of my driveway where they had not been before, and at the time were puddled on the road which my neighbors witnessed. This is negligence/property damage and several code violations by statute. For the permanent stains and potholes to my driveway Dorshak is legally and financially obligated to return my driveway to its original condition including stains and potholes. Mr. Dorshak will admit no liability while admitting his truck was leaking hydraulic fluid on public and private land which puts him at 100% liability. To date he has not paid me for damages. He wants me to pay for the tree service in full so he can dismiss the claim. STATUTE 49CFR - In WI a leaking hydraulic truck on private property and public roads is prohibited under WI HAZARDOUS SPILLS LAW and FEDERAL MOTOR CARRIER LAW which mandates that leaking vehicles cannot be safely operated or transported. As such, I would not recommend using their service.

We expected our roof and gutters to last longer than three years, and unfortunately that is not the case. We invested in seamless gutters that were supposed to be customized and properly secured to our building, but that is not at all what we received. Community Roofing did not properly fasten the gutters to the fascia, so they are falling off of the building. In some sections, Community Roofing sloped the gutters toward our house instead of the downspouts, creating water intrusion problems. The shingles are already starting to look shabby and some have nails starting to protrude. The customer service has been even worse than the workmanship. We reached out to Community Roofing repeatedly and they just blew us off.

The new dark shingles gave my house a complete face lift, a new look and I couldn't be happier. They went above and beyond in so many ways. Their entire team was professional, competent and continually kept me updated and was a joy to work with. They pointed out areas that needed repair that could have caused issues down the road that other roofers didn't even acknowledge. They also did an extra job that wasn't "roof related" but had the ability to do. This saved me from hiring another contractor. We ran into a little "snafu" (which can happen!) but they addressed it expeditiously and efficiently. I would highly recommend them! I trusted them which is so crucial in making such a large investment. And of course, get other bids. But no one will be able to match what they can and will do. Thanks to all involved!!

I was also worried about water in another part of my basement on the carpet. Alex checked out both of my concerns. He replaced the broken check valve and explained how the water seeped up through the concrete in the carpeted area because my sump pump could not keep up. Alex is very friendly and professional, arrived on time, explained his findings, did the job, cleaned everything up. I called on Sunday and Alex was here on Monday. Cost is very reasonable. It's hard to find a good honest plumbing company. Morris Plumbing LLC is one of those rare finds.

Regrettably, I am now required to allocate additional funds to rectify the issues with the job, which could have been invested in other necessary improvements to my home.
