DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY!!! This was probably one of the worst and unprofessional situations I've ever dealt with a company. We called Paul's to come out and perform pest control services on our house and property. First, I called and spoke to someone after trying to call maybe three or four times on different days and spoke to a woman and she asked me a few questions. They ask you about where you want services, square footage of the home, and if there were any current problems we were having in the home that they would have to treat right away. So I answered those questions and those were the only questions they had. I was upfront with her about a current issue we were having with a certain bug and all she replied with was that she would let the guy know. No explanation of any type of bugs, or specialty circumstances that would be more cost or anything like that. She explained to me it would be $150 for the initial treatment and the inspection and then it would be $40 a month going forward. I said send over the contract and she emailed it. We signed the contract And sent it back to them. After they get the signed contract the guy calls you to set up the initial treatment and inspection. They charged our account $150. The gentleman comes out to do the inspection and seemed very knowledgeable. We had a great conversation. We got talking about the house and issues we were worried about having in the future and what their services would provide. Just a reminder, we've already paid the 150 and we've already signed a CONTRACT with them. After he did his inspection, he explained that due to the number of rooms, areas bugs could get in, and the current issue we were having that the cost would not be honored for the $150. I explained to him none of this was brought to my attention. He told me straight from the company's mouth that they're supposed to tell you these things over the phone and the calls are recorded. So he said he was going to go back and talk to his manager and come back in and let me know. Now I'm frustrated because he's trying to explain that the money we paid and the contract we signed was not going to be honored. He comes back in and I'm expecting either a slight increase or him to say we're going to go ahead and move forward with what we agreed on since you signed a contract and the agreement with our company. I was shocked when he came back inside and said again, due to the number of rooms, the current issues we were having, and the areas bugs could get in, the price would be a lot higher. He even told me I should go with another company and said he would charge me around $500.00. When I explained that none of this was told to me and I signed a contract and agreement with their company and they gave me the price with my signature based on the information they required, all he could say was "I understand". Paid hundreds of dollars to exterminate attic rats. Their 'treatment' went on TWO YEARS with NO RESULTS. Fired them, went on Amazon, found a poison and the rats were gone in 10 days!!! Then.... got a bill for their termite 'service' at my store. Though they hadn't shown up and placed new traps for over a year, THEY CHARGED ME FOR A YEAR! These people are inept. read more

UPDATE: We were contacted by the owner and he was very professional and apologetic for what happened to us. He made it right and made sure that we were treated with respect and treated as an actual customer. He made sure that we didn't pay for the service we were originally given. And he made sure to have some of his best people personally inspect the situation. Original Review: Where do I start? Paul's Pest Control in Tallahassee is the worst local company I've ever done business with. Never on time, never do what they say they would do. EXTREMELY OVERPRICED! They wanted to charge nearly $1000 to set only 4 traps on my property. Then on top of that charged me $30 a month for their monthly "service". (No one ever came after they set the traps and no one came when they said they would) And when I called to ask what this monthly "service" was and why I was paying for it, they were unable to provide an answer. Then a week later they have someone come on my property break into my back yard and steal the traps i paid them for. Paul's Pest control is an absolute joke. I've used Paul's Pest Control for many years. Been using them for quarterly pest control for 20 years, termite control for 18 years, lawn for a year, and recently rodent control. They are quick to respond to any needs you have. The techs are courteous and the office staff does a good job communicating and organizing. My only wish is that they give me discount since I use so many services from them. LOL. read more

When I called to schedule an initial inspection, the person who answered the phone recorded my contact information and told me to expect a call from the technician who services my area. About a year ago we started using Paul's Pest Control for our home termite and pest control. We also added coverage for lawn fertilization and pest control. We have been delighted with the change! I like this company and it worked well, but I could not deal with the office staff. It was impossible to communicate with them and they were antagonistic and unwilling to solve whatever issues when there shouldn't have been any issues to begin with. They would rather give you a hard time than do the job and keep the customer happy. I guess business is good if you can lose a $1,000 a year account. If I were the CEO I would concentrate on making the customer happy and not losing the account rather than mis-communicating and antagonizing a loyal customer.. read more

Paul's pest control service is very good. They have kept my house bug-free for several years, and hardly ever have to come inside. Their customer service has been outstanding the few times I have needed something extra, and every employee I have spoken to has been polite, friendly, and helpful. Had termite bond for 9 years and previous owner had it for several years. After paying the annual premium for approximately12 years - Paul's was nowhere to be found when termites were discovered. They didn't do repairs, they wouldn't return calls. read more

If I could give them 0 stars I would. First of all, technicians will come on your property while you are home and they don't notify you that they are on your property. I am even giving credit to their 'GPS' system that tracks technicians as I was home and a technician was no where to be found for my last service. Additionally my home has a locked gate and patio door, which means that any spray in my back yard (where most of the dense vegetation is that bugs like to live in) is not possible. So Paul's has only been spraying the small portion of my front yard, which I should add has several fire ant piles and a few wasps nest in my front door entry way. I also have termite protection, which means the green termite pods surround my home (this includes the backyard). My termite protection includes a bond, and my home has had termites before (the previous home owner had to have this fixed).I am by no means a pest control specialist, but I would think that if the pods have not been checked in the backyard, where I have been doing a lot of work clearing old tree stumps (full of termites) that if the pods aren't being check there is the possibility they will infest my home. I have had these issues with Paul's Pest Control for the entire two years of service. When I had bugs in my home, I called to have them come and spray. Of the three requests I had to make, only once did they come to my home. The last time, the technician indicated he was on vacation the week I had availability to let him in my home. No one called to schedule a different technician. All I can say is, I've canceled my services with Paul's and I would not recommend them to anyone. read more
